“Very disappointed. Expensive with no positive results. The technician came the same day and was polite and conscientious but fixed nothing blaming past work done wrongly according to him. Technician then said the company would send a written follow up report with specific recommendations but I never received anything .”
“I had a leak at my new property in Edgware Road and two of the Pimlico Plumbers team arrived and spent around 5 hours trying to figure out where it was coming from. In the end they concluded there is no leak from my property which was great, but I was presented with a bill of £1700 I had to pay there. I paid it part in cash and part or card. A week or so later I got several calls from their collections department that I still owed £300 as they had not included any VAT when I settled the works on the day.
In short be mindful what you’re charged for and when you pay as it seems they have poor systems, are possibly not trained on how to use them or are incompetent regarding charges. The job they needed to do was fine however they are expensive and to me seem to have hidden charges which appear even after you have paid what was asked for. Mistakes can happen but I was clearly told if I don’t pay the extra charges my details would be passed over to debt collectors.
That’s Pimlico Plumbers, not owning up to own errors and well its your problem you got to deal with it and pay. Id suggest looking for a cheaper alternative unless you really have to have them out and well will be paying for it.”
“An electrician did some work in the house but left some holes. Hé left without filling the holes because he was feeling unwell. I accepted to pay thé full balance based on his promise that he would finish the work with no extra cost when I Book another service as there are différent jobs I booked with Pilmico. Now, I booked for two différent services and can't get these holes repaired with no extra cost. I was too stupid to trust this company.”
“Had a plumber from Pimlico come and service the boiler. Although the boiler was fine we were missing an authentic part for the flue. what was disappointing due to our location and the time he completed the job. He could have gone quite easily and got the spare parts as we have a number of local merchants to hand. But this was not the case. boiler switched off and a recall placed for the next day. Not the type of service we would expect from pimlico. As every other tradesman we have had here have been very good and we are paying for the prompt service. Also the quote provided was huge. clearly either taking the mickey or not clued up on what the job would cost. We had no option but to get the plumber in the next day. AS we had no hot water.”
“I’ve given Two stars as the two times I’ve used this company the engineers have been polite and professional so it’s no reflection on them at all. It’s the company and it’s clear ethos which is clearly the problem. I went to this company because I thought I couldn’t go wrong, paying a premium but none the less at least I could be sure I wouldn’t be messed around. My problem was a rip in washing machine seal. As mentioned on the phone it was visible and the only problem. They told me the engineer as with all trades has to make an assessment. No problem. He arrived and writhing 30 seconds confirmed the problem then to tell me the seal could take up to 5 days to arrive. I have a 10 month old baby and a week of washing. So Pimlico plumbers think it totally acceptable that in the middle of a crisis people pay £100 for a 30 second diagnosis and then wait the necessary time and pay another £100 plus parts a total in excess of £260 for a split in a washing machine seal. When I rang back to say it would be helpful to mention whilst waiting days for an engineer to order the part if you know what it is so that in for the rest of the 59 minutes 30 seconds I’ve paid for aside from the diagnosis work could be carried out I got a two minute plus rant down the telephone. The complaint got passed to there department to deal with and I got generic emails with the same shpeal and telling me had they of mentioned to maybe order the part to save another £100 call out fee and 2 weeks worth of baby washing on a London lockdown it may have been wrong part and lead to another complaint. It wouldn’t as I’m not sure if they know but you can return parts very easy. Do your self a favour.. research what’s wrong with your appliance, order the parts from manufacturer and call an independent contractor not these guys who are out for the extra hour fee and not the long term business! £260 plus for a door seal.. I’ve ordered it from the manufacturer and I’ve got an independent fitter coming for half the price!”
