“I’ve never been into gaming on my phone because I hate touch controls. This has changed everything and really turns your phone into a proper handheld console for legit gaming. I Love it!!!”

“Backbone has made me want to grab my phone for serious gaming over the switch. Cloud or native gaming work very well with the controller. Recently got the adapter for iPhone 13 Pro Max, but it does work without it (just a bit tight).”

“Backbone is great. It legit makes my phone feel like a portable gaming console. It's a really impressive piece of hardware. It's unfortunate that it doesn't work with phone cases, but the experience playing with Backbone is so good that I'm fine with taking my case off. The *one* problem I have is the Backbone+ subscription. Part of the reason I was drawn to Backbone was because it smoothly integrated hardware (the Backbone controller) and software (the Backbone app) for a unified mobile gaming experience. It all comes together really nicely – honestly, I can't praise it enough. Given that, I'm sure it's obvious why I might be upset that the software side of that experience is now locked behind a $50/year subscription. I don't like the fact that I'll have to pay half the price of what is already an expensive controller on an annual basis just to take advantage of all the features of the hardware I paid for. That the capture button and Backbone button will become entirely useless without a subscription is especially upsetting. On top of all that, I'm really not sure what's being offered in the subscription that justifies a $50/year price tag – that's nearly the annual cost of PlayStation Plus, and I get a lot more value out of that subscription than I will out of Backbone+. I'd be less upset if it was $20 or $30/year (though I still don't think the *entire app* should be locked behind a subscription of any kind). Anyway, that's my little rant about Backbone+. Backbone is fantastic outside of that, and it'd be a five-star product if Backbone+ either a) was made significantly cheaper or b) paywalled significantly less functionality. I can't stress this last part enough: the current state of Backbone+ is the ONLY reason why I have not yet ruled out returning my Backbone for a refund.”

“Bought my first controller back late April and I’ve loved it since! I play a lot of CODM and it gave me the feeling I was playing an actual console in my hands! Never had s a problem until late November but I contacted BackBone and less than a day I received the shipping info and sent my defective part back and got a Brand New BackBone Controller for free plus free shipping! I never asked for a refund, never got discouraged and even seeing where it doesn’t necessarily say a 1 year warranty for defective swap they sure held up perfect customer service and helped me out! Upon arrival I even received a free 3 month Ultimate Game Pass for Xbox! I absolutely have zero negative things to say about this product and company! The backbone controller goes everywhere with me! Definitely 5 star review! Love it”

“The most amazing controller I ever used. I love my backbone one and take it everywhere I go. I love it more then my switch. It’s easy and so comfortable to use. The gaming on it is smooth and on point. I can play call of duty mobile better and I don’t have to carry a controller around. I would buy 10 backbone ones and give them out for Christmas just cause it’s the greatest controller ever”

“It’s a Christmas gift so I haven’t tried it yet. I am still wait on the free adapter that hasn’t arrived yet . If it doesn’t arrive in time I will return the backbone. It should of shipped with the product not a good idea to send separately, especially being that in order to use with the 13 it’s need phone technology is advancing fast . Adapter should Automatically be included because we’re gonna need it eventually”

“it could be great but it’s crazy uncomfortable to hold for extended periods of time. the hand handles need to be about a half inch longer for a more comfortable grip. for now, i wouldn’t recommend it specially for experienced gamers.”
