“I ordered the Backbone last week and received it in less than a week (even with it being the week of Christmas). I’ve seen several reviews talking about extremely long shipping time and/or no verification email, I personally do not have either of those issues. I’ve been using it now for just under a week. Before I explain my “good” and “bad,” I’ll say that I’ve been mainly playing Xbox cloud gaming and Stadia. I have had the same issue with Xbox remote playing not working very often, but I personally believe this more to be an issue with the Xbox app and not an issue with the Backbone app or controller. The Bad: -If you allow your devise to disconnect or lock it, you’ll have to reconnect to cloud gaming and I’ve had no volume after reconnecting. That’s been my experience with Xbox cloud gaming at least. I think this is more so an issue with Xbox cloud gaming than backbone, I had this same issue when playing before I got a controller and playing Xbox cloud play touch compatible games. -In just under a week, I have had the controller disconnect for some reason in the middle of a game. It took me a few minutes and it did eventually connect again, but it was annoying -I have to continuously log into the Backbone app and it never stays logged in after I exit the app. Sometimes I can’t even log in. I honestly have barely even used the app. It’s a cool idea with all its features, but it hasn’t worked well for me and I doubt I’ll renew my subscription once the free trial is up. I’ll just use the Backbone as a controller and use the Stadia/Cloud Gaming/Xbox remote play apps The Good: -The controller itself seems to be really sturdy and built well -The controller just works. I’m still kind of shocked what we are able to do with today’s technology. * It gives a great advantage in the mobile games that are compatible with controllers and it has all the buttons and features you’ll need to play Xbox games. I still can’t believe we are legitimately able to play high caliber Xbox One and Xbox Series S/X games on a cell phone. To sum it up, I’d 100% recommend Backbone. There are still some issues with the cloud gaming apps I’ve used but I don’t blame Backbone for that and quite frankly, it’s to be expected when you’re playing a game on a cell phone or tablet that pushes the limits of a gaming console. If you’re really excited about and want to use the features of the Backbone app, I’m not sure I’d recommend it until they fix the app, but if you want a sturdy gaming controller that works well with your phone and makes playing games so much easier, this is the one to go with.”

“I was excited to get it soon as it arrived but didn’t realized that it already arrived on Christmas Eve while we re not at home and I saw someone stranger walked to our front porch and took our package thur camera ring. i did emailed them and explained about it and they still haven’t replied back? And all they said trying looking around front porch, ask neighborhood or whatever which I already did. I was so disappointed that they didn’t send me the replacement one. lost my money for nothing!”

“Got this for my son for Christmas and can’t get passed the set up process. Looking at the current reviews and their all having the same issues with their iPhones as well. Someone help or I want a refund! Not showing me it’s worth $100.00 right now..it’s also asking for credit card number and when I purchased it I was given a year subscription for Xbox. Please help!”

“I’m a father of 2 young boys. Between my kids, wife, work and life experiences I have extremely limited free time available. It didn’t make sense to me to purchase the latest gaming console due to money and available time. That’s why I chose to purchase Backbone. When I ordered I was pleased with the customer service updates via email and sending me the tracking number once shipped was a nice touch. The Backbone controller feels comfortable enough for me. I currently use my iPhone 12 Pro Max and the connection even the first time was seamless. I play Call of Duty Mobile and the controller reacts perfectly to the game play. I also logged into the Xbox game pass and played DragonAge, Star Wars Fallen Order and Star Wars Battlefront 2. All steamed the games well overall. Deciding on a game to play on Xbox game pass is like using Netflix - simple to use and easy to find games. Another great part of this is I don’t even need to own an Xbox console! Backbone is a luxury item for gaming but if you can afford it and unable to play console or PC games then Backbone is perfect for you, too!”

“Right out of the box, I plugged it in and it worked for one round of COD Mobile. Then on the next round my character kept turning in circles. Nothing stopped the action. Then I unplugged it, plugged it back in and it did not register at all. The charging function worked with the lightning port, but that’s it. I tried multiple games to make sure and nothing. How do I return this piece of junk. Not worth $80 bucks for sure. It’s not worth $10 after what I experienced.”

“I ordered this for my 11year old son for Christmas. Not only was the shipping was fast (I’m in the USA) it came way before Christmas. My son has not out this down yet. & although my son has a PS4 he had no trouble at all hooking up to his system. The material is sturdy and I was relieved because my son is DESTRUCTIVE. I would highly recommend anyone who is thinking of purchasing this to do so! It’s well worth it !!”
