Powercity has the worst return policy. The working staff at Powercity Swords is polite and ready to help but this is not the case for that of the head office, who appears to be the opposite.

I bought a dishwasher on line in power city. The customer service was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Excellent communication. Delivered on time by Daniel and another guy. Installed and the old one taken away with no hassle. Very impressed with the service.

Absolutely fantastic staff, only l thing the delivery man never took my old telly away, while he delivered the New one,ah well,soon be sorted, cause ixm gonna buy an exercise bike next so he can take it away then.great staff well worth a visit guys

Horrible customer service! Bought a product I was told wrong info about and wanted to return it after I realised it is not what I wanted so sent a customer service request which is 1 form for everything you need in Powercity. Then they call you because they can be horribly rude over the phone and accuse you saying things you didn't, don't even listen to your problem because they don't want to resolve it anyway. My sincere advice is you don't ever buy anything in power city. Worst customer experience I've ever seen, so rude!

If you have any issues with any power city item they will not honour your warranty or your consumer rights as stated in Irish law you have 6 years for a replacement/repair or refund. If you're unfortunate enough to be dealing with Damien O'Neill ( a so called manager) be advised he is extremely rude, aggressive and if the conversation isn't going his way he will just hang up on you. Stay well clear of this place and shop elsewhere.

Damian, service manager for PowerCity, is the most incompetent, unprofessional and plain rude individual I have ever had the misfortune of having to deal with. He's an embarrassment to the company and from I have read and experienced seems to be letting down customers left, right and centre. I also tried to seek help over the faulty goods we recieved with Mick, the Carrickmines store manager, who was basically a potato with no ability to take responsbility either and just passed on the book to the bullying, aggressive collegue Damian - clearly a system they have set up! Avoid PowerCity if you can because dealing with Damian is not worth the hassle!

Bought a Candy Visor Cooker Hood model CFT610/4W online from their website. This product states: EASY TO CLEAN THANKS TO THE WASHABLE GREASE FILTER. Sorry that is false advertising as the filter is paper and there is no mesh filter even though the manual inside the box says it does. Returning it to the Carrrickmines store am refused a refund as the BOX IS OPEN. Well !! Excuse me !!! I left the box at the cash while the refund was debated for days and days.. How do you find out the product is wrong if you do not open the box, and, MOST important: when customer shows the item is not what advertised you still refuse a refund. I spent days calling Power City phone support to settle the problem. The point of my complaint is that when a product is not what is advertised, Power City should replace or refund, this is new to me this Irish policy of refusing a refund because box is open, what if you ordered a White Cooker hood and a green one was in the box . I eventually was refunded my money and ordered a stainless steel cooker hood from IKEA for less. The new Stainless Steel hood from IKEA works very well in case your wondering. Cheers !

I recently visited Power City Finglas to purchase a tv and laptop and was greeted by a very courteous staff member named Derek, who gave me a very reasonable deal and discount., with sound friendly advice on what to get specifically. Afterward he very graciously insisted on assisting me with my purchases to the taxi rank. It really does represent PoweCity in an exemplary manner and far exceeded my expectations as a customer. The cashier was very nice and friendly also. Overall I was very impressed and thankful for the excellent quality customer care and friendliness of the staff. I would definitely recommend Power City to anyone, based on my visit and would again like to express my utmost appreciation for Derek's assistance.

Poor customer service. My advice don't buy online if your not 100% sure of the product. If you want to return they don't want to know unless its still in the original packaging. Just want your money. I won't buy from them again.

Bought a Haier washing machine for which I was told by Powercity I would get a €50 cashback. Information on obscure website for making claim not given with purchase. I had to call to get it. . When I did get website information was told I had to wait at least 28 days. Website now saying offer closed. Feel scammed by Powercity and Haier.

Bought 2 TV's up to the value of €760 last night, when the salesman asked his manager by phone could we get a discount as I bought kitchen appliances the last month or two, up to the value of €2500, he without hesitation quickly responded no. I would of walked out last night only for my partner really wanted that particular tv. I have been shopping here consistently over the years . So much for loyalty and customer satisfaction. Won't be back again. Salesperson I felt sorry for as you could tell he was embarrassed from his managers decision. This was the Tallaght branch.

Poor customer service by Customer Service Manager, while we were refunded for a faulty product, we were left with no fridge, as the Service Manager sold us a replacement fridge which was a different spec to the original fridge, as they were out of stock for the original fridge we bought. This became apparent upon installation and the Customer Service Manager has refused to accept responsibility and refused to replace with another correct sized integrated fridge freezer. Very disappointed to be treated so rudely and unhelpfully by the Customer Service Manager, who refused to escalate this the Managing Director, which we requested. We have replaced all of our kitchen appliances last year with Power City and I would have expected more as a loyal customer. Word to the wise, make sure you check and double check the spec on what you buy here, as not all the staff, especially the Customer Service Manger are knowledgeable on the spec of the appliances they are selling!!! Very poor indeed. You have just lost a valuable customer. You would rather lose business than lose face!!

Worst customer service ever. Lied about sending my product back to the manufacturer - only came clean when i rang the manufacturer myself. Never even apologised. Deceitful money grabbing company that I will never buy from again.

Terrible customer service! My mother purchased a Samsung fridge/freezer from Power City. Size is far too big for her kitchen. Although no seals have been opened or removed from the fridge, and she has the sales receipt, Power City are refusing to offer a refund/exchange as the unit has been removed from the box. Punch line....Power City took the box back with them after delivering the unit! Have been emailing back and forth the customer service desk, with absolutely no real customer service provided. Have even attempted to contact Samsung as the manufacturers to see if they could provide us an empty box....to which Power City replied our ‘contact is with Power City and not Samsung’. In addition, Power City have not offered to check with their own suppliers for a box, or to check their own warehouse for said box seeing as their couriers took back the box!! Although I have very clearly explained the situation to Power City and that my mother is not in a financial position to be out of pocket €1929.95 with a fridge that is basically the size of her entire kitchen...Power City’s response has consistently been a one liner email saying ‘sorry we can’t refund’ Absolutely disgraceful behaviour from a reputable company...

Powercity customer service has the most rudest bunch of men working on their phone line, they dont want to help you when you have a problem they couldnt care less about their customers. I had a bad experience with a call agent and an even worse experience with their manager. I was advised wrongly by a member of staff in tallaght branch to buy a laptop that is not doing what i need it to do. i am a student with not much money and was robbed of 260 euro and now left with a laptop that is useless just weeks after buying it. i do not want a refund i just wanted and exchange for a product i can use. if i was advised to buy a laptop from their staff and was told it will do everything i need it to do and then when im using it find out it is not able to do the main things i need it to do isnt that their fault for advising me to buy it? but yet im told thats my problem and theres absolutely nothing they can do? no one wants to help when you have a problem you are just told no, though luck. absolutely appauling customer care the way i have been treated is absolutely disgusting and these men that work for power city should be ashamed of themselves. their attitude is a disgrace. as a company you should be made aware of the disgusting way your customers are treated when they have a problem. especially in this day and age people shoud be treated much better when they have a problem i feel i may have been discriminated because i am a young woman and these men you have working for your company have no respect absolute disgrace i will never set foot in a powercity store again and everyone i meet i will tell of this experience and let them know to never shop in a powercity store again. with the global pandemic you should be trying to do your best for your customers. your company should be ashamed of themselves.
