“A trip of a lifetime!!! So glad we decided to go with Quasar. From the initial steps of planning the trip, all the way to a flawless execution. Tasha was a fantastic resource in planning the safari according to our interests. The organization and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. Everything worked like a clock. We met Rodrigo at the designated time at the Tiera Patagonia hotel and were impressed by his knowledge and professionalism. The Jeep was in great condition and was very well equipped. From a satellite phone, GPS, tracker, first-aid kit and all the way to a picnic set, cooler and even water, trail mix and snacks. This trip allowed us to be completely independent and flexible, and modify our itinerary ad hoc according to our wishes bringing into consideration even factors such as weather and hiking trail conditions. We had our safari at the end of October. I defiantly recommend having it this time of year, as we avoided the summer crowds and the heat. Thank you Quasar team for an unforgettable experience!!!”

“The only negative part of our trip was that it ended! The crew and guides were fantastic. The food was incredible. The other guests formed a great union. I have all ready spoken to over 12 people and said they have to look at Quasar!!!”

“My wife Stacie and I had a truly memorable experience with your company. We are both working professionals with a busy lifestyle and we don't often have a chance to get away for any extended period of time. Our cruise to the Galapagos islands aboard the Evolution was a magical experience. The crew was attentive and worked very hard to assure that all passenger needs were met. I was very impressed with how the senior crew members (Captain included) all worked together to ensure that things went smoothly. The Nature Guides were extremely knowledgeable and all (3) of them went out of their way to explain what we were experiencing both on land and in the water. As it happened there were a few children on our trip and again the guides and crew made it fun and an adventure for kids and adults alike. All of these things lent for an excellent relaxing vacation, and by the way, we made a few new friends along the way. The meals onboard were truly a delight the chef prepared quite a selection of wonderful meals, my only complaint-I gained a few pounds. Peter”

“This was once in a life time vacation and ended up being way above our expectations. The landscape was perfect and quasar set everything up so we could just focus on the experience with no worries. “Our trip to Patagonia was amazing! We spent time seeing wild horses, glacier hiking, and puma trekking among other activities. The team at Quasar walked us through everything and really made it feel like we were the most important part of the trip. Our guide, Francisco, was very knowledgeable and a joy to be around for the week. I can’t express enough our satisfaction with the Quasar team and the vacation experience overall.”

“The cruise and all the services provided by Quasar were superb. The attention to detail and the way they worked to meet every guest’s individual needs was exceptional. For example, I was traveling with companions who are vegan, and the chef made delicious vegan options at every meal and snack. Quasar also provided medical help for some of my companions who had problems arise—both in Quito before the cruise and on board the ship. The naturalists, the captain and the crew were thoughtful and personable. I had a phenomenal time on the vacation—it was truly a magical trip. I would definitely use Quasar again.”

“Quasar exceeded all of our expectations! Our very informative and personable guides were able to fulfill our dream to closely snorkel with penguins, sea lions and green turtles by bringing us to more out-of-the-way areas where they knew these animals were located. The chefs on the Evolution provided us with delicious, beautifully prepared meals. All the food was prepared from scratch with fresh vegetables, fish and meats. The pastry chef on board provided delectable desserts and fresh breads. We were provided with a coffee and tea bar 24/7, a sparkling clean hot tub for warm-ups after snorkeling and a very comfortable cabin, which was cleaned three times a day. The whole crew is devoted to making sure that all guests have their needs met. For example, as I was swimming to get closer to a few penguins, Carlos, one of the panga drivers, floated by to volunteer to take me out to the area in the panga (a small inflatable boat). Without his help, I would have been unable to have an experience of a lifetime: 2 curious penguins swam right up to me and I have lovely photos as a memento. Another time, our guide saw a pod of Killer Whales and, even though it was unscheduled, she organized the pangas, so that we could be up close among the whales. It was thrilling! This company is committed to bringing the beauty and excitement of the Galapagos to every guest. They go over and above expectations to do just that!”

“Our expedition on The Evolution far exceeded our expectations. We selected Quasar largely based on its various awards, distinctions, and online reviews. We wanted to travel on a small vessel. We benefitted from the incredible ratio of 28 crew for 24 passengers! Three knowledgeable naturalists and a doctor were on board. We were impressed by the impeccable and friendly service from the hospitable and capable crew. The experience was more like a safari adventure than a cruise. Most days passengers could take beach walks, lava hikes, snorkel and kayak. Every day was thrilling and offered something new. We swam with penguins, octopuses, sharks, mating sea turtles, and sting rays. We saw nursing sea lions, dolphins, a Blue Whale (!), flamingos, iguanas, finches, mocking bird, blue-footed boobies, dancing albatrosses, and tortoises! We snorkeled in 6 different spots during a 7-night cruise of the Galapagos that took us to more than 8 islands. We went out in groups of 8-10 with knowledgeable naturalists on outings that were organized efficiently and thoughtfully. Crew members were at the ready with wet suits, life vests, and towels. The ship traveled long distances overnight and the captain welcomed visitors onto the bridge. In the evenings, naturalists offered lectures and gave briefings about the next day's itinerary. We requested a vegetarian/pescatarian diet which was easily accommodated. Tasty snacks and fresh-squeezed fruit juices were available between meals. Unexpected treats included a cappuccino maker and a hot tub.”

“We did a "spur of the moment" trip to the Galapagos. We used Quasar based upon a recommendation from my brother and we were so thankful we did. The trip was awesome! First of all, the Quasar folks made sure every detail, from land to sea, was taken care of. The transfers, airline tickets and hotels were all in sync we never had worry. The transfers from Quito to the airport on the morning of the cruise were on time and got us to the airport promptly. The Quasar staff "on-hand" at the Quito airport to help make sure we were checked in and in the right place. These are examples of the dedicated service. We felt bad for another tour group at the airport that missed their flight from what appear to be poor planning. It was great experience and we highly recommend Quasar.”

“Excellent Patagonia tour with a great guide Gonzalo. The hotels Quasar recommended were very comfortable and had great views with hospitable staff. Nicholas and the whole staff at Tierra Patagonia were especially attentive and accommodating. Having our personal jeep was very nice. No tour buses or large groups. We could get to trail heads early and on our own time, stopping at any point we wanted. Quasar outfits the keeps very comfortably. Would use Quasar again.”

“Thank you Quasar for a truly amazing experience. Tasha did a fantastic job assisting us with planning the trip. When we had problems with delays (our fault, not Quasar) on the trip to Chile, the entire Quasar team went above and beyond in helping us recover as much as possible of the original trip. Even though we ended up losing some time due to our delays the whole trip ended up far surpassing our expectations.”

“We are just back from our excursions to the Galapagos aboard the Evolution and then the trip to Machu Picchu. Both adventures of a lifetime! With your assistance we had an extremely smooth and wonderful experience. The list of things we did not see while in the Galapagos is very short. It was exciting to be with all the creatures in the water and on land. Monica was super informative and graced us with a heartwarming farewell video capturing some of the highlights of the trip. All our fellow passengers got along well. I cannot say enough positive comments about the entirety of our travels.”
