Scam company. Impossible to actually book an experience without paying more, and losing half your voucher value at the same time. Customer service refuses to responds, lies to your face. Criminals all, why does trading standards never do anything about companies like this? Lock them up, including their dragon's den founder.

SCAM COMPANY. Avoid. I purchased a voucher for the triple super car blast with high speed passenger ride, on the website it clearly states one of the locations is brands hatch, I completely understood there maybe an extra premium for this track and still happy to purchase and pay the extra if needed after reading what is offered etc. Anyway once purchased I couldn’t use the voucher. Couldn’t phone red letter days, only online chat where the lovely ‘Thomas’ informed me I had apparently brought my voucher on their old website!! And it’s my fault for not clearing my cookies/cache etc! Hmm.. very odd as my partner from work and my mother from her house could also go on the only website they could find, see what I’d brought and see it stated Brands Hatch. I screenshot this for the lovely Thomas and pointed out this is misleading advertising and deceiving customers. As well as screenshots I also sent him the link that directed him to the website. That again he told me was the old website. I did not believe for one second that it was an old website as where is the new website!! Because only one website is found when searching for them. Plus I should not of been able to buy a voucher on a website that was not in use. All sounded like complete bs. I will be reporting to trading standards with all the screenshots and the product codes including the screenshots from the online chat.

Received a RedLetter Days vouhcer as a Christmas Present. No end of problems booking the experience through their website, so I've been attmptng to do so through emails, since January. Its now April and still no further on. Utter joke. I pity their customer service staff (who are really nice, but unfortunately stuck in the middle of fustrated customers and a dyfunctional company) See RedLetterDays for how to ruin what should be a nice, pleasant experience/gift. If you care considering this.....DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Absolute rubbish company !! Given an afternoon tea voucher for my birthday impossible to redeem on the website , spent hours today trying !! Tried to ring customer services line busy for 11 hours ! Never had this problem with Buyagift ! So easy to book with them . I think Peter jones from dragons den owns the company , he certainly needs to look into it ! It’s a total disgrace . I would say avoid this company it’s a scam

Zero stars. Big Con. Booking a room directly with venue the same price as the “excess” through red letter days so value of voucher is zero! They buy a number of seats/rooms/places etc and once used up you can not book so be prepared to search for ages to find a date that will accept the voucher. If you buy Hello fresh- only valid if not already a customer. Extremely hard to navigate the process- use your voucher to buy a voucher then book. Customer service terrible; They" have no control over prices" which totally ignored my query of why the price was the same with or without my red letter day.

The Red Letter web site is frustrating and trying to find a location and date for my chosen experience is a nightmare, nearest location for me is Castle Combe which I have to pay a surcharge for is totally unacceptable, and earliest date i was offered was November, it is now March.

If it were possible to give negative stars below 0, I would. Like others are saying, this is a complete scam! I bought their voucher and the merchant could not accept it, they were very nice, after hours on the phone I finally managed to switch it to something else but had the same issue: none of their listed merchants who supposedly accept it will take it, so you are left out of pocket with a useless piece of paper making phone calls and being made to feel awful. Please spread the word to everyone you know to never, ever buy Red Letter Days vouchers!

We have had two gifts now of these vouchers. The first led to an unexpected surcharge, the second to an outright refusal to accept the voucher. Red Letter Days should be avoided the vouchers are not welcome even at places that appear on their publicity.

I feel like this company make I as difficult as possible to use vouchers that people buy in good faith as gifts. I have been trying to use the second set of vouchers I received as a gift for a long time. I’ve given up on using the first set as the company have conned me. I am so disappointed with the responses I have received from Red Letter Days. They are literally scamming people out of money. Try to avoid buying these vouchers for people as gifts - just transfer money and allow people to book with a normal set of choices instead of this hoop jumping mess.

rip off company, booked a 4 Ferrari driving day at Mallary Park, first thing no one tells you there's a £50 each ad on for that track. so £100 later, and we find out that it's NOT! 4 Ferraris it's only 2. at what ever track you go for. and try getting your money back ha!ha!ha! good luck with that

The list of venues before purchasing is inaccurate. Once purchased voucher there are hiden charges with each venue. Once booked can't get any money back if circumstances change. Then blocked from making an honest review on their site. Lost £140 now so recommend avoiding...

Terrible customer service. I have been charged an extra £193 on top of a hotel voucher I had been given, for a hotel I booked for 2 nights. On checking the hotel web site I had been overcharged, they were offering rooms for £125 for 2 nights. I have been in contact with red letter days to ask for a refund, and they are refusing as they tell me I haven’t paid, although I have sent proof to say I have. A real rip off Don’t ever use them!,,

Not a good experience in Scotland. I redeemed my original voucher to use at The Airds a few weeks ago however they advised they are no longer affiliated with RLD. They are still advertised on RLD site. After several attempts including negotiating the bot, a complaint (no response) and a few online chats with real people and the voucher was finally reissued so I could book an alternative. I have now paid an additional £40.01 and redeemed for the gin experience at Peebles Hydro to be advised again that the voucher is no longer accepted. Again this is still active on the RLD site. Have lodged another complaint but have no great hopes of getting it resolved and something booked before my voucher expiry on 27/2/24. It was a gift and feel my brother completely wasted his £150 then to add insult to injury I added more money to it!!

Terrible experience. Very few places available to book spa day. Booked with Bannatyne spa but had to cancel, and now I can't get to use my voucher elsewhere. Not value for money at all.

I bought the afternoon tea voucher for my wife. When she tried to use it, 99% of the venues required her to pay a further supplement, which in many cases, was more that the value of the voucher itself. This is a completely misleading service, bordering on an organised con!! I will never use or recommend this company again...just appalling.

A friend bought me a driving experience. I was over the moon. However, I have to pay a surcharge (which he didn't realise) so the gift has been paid for twice, effectively. It's a total con and it's time there was an investigation. Surely, if someone buys you a gift for £50 you get the gift, but with Red Letter Days it turns out the company they work with gets the £50 because I have to pay a 'surcharge'! You may as well go direct to the company if that's the case and avoid this scam company.
