“If I could give them a 0 rating I would!
I reached out by email on Tuesday for 3 invoices, but I only received 2 of them on that day. I immediately sent a reply email, but all I got was an auto-reply stating that the ticket has been closed. I tried to re-email, but only received the auto reply message. Then I called the number provided at the bottom of the email, but it just gave me a busy signal and hung up. I tried this multiple times on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, thinking that there may just be a temporary issue with the phone line, but the same thing happened each time. During this time, I also attempted calling the other number listed on the original booking, but that didn't go well either. The wait times were horrendous (hours on hold), probably because frustrated customers like me have to call multiple times just to get a response! I made four calls asking for the missing receipt to no avail. The first time I got through and was assured that the receipt would be sent to me via email, never received it, I called back the next day, tried again, nothing! The third time I got to position #1 in the que, but I was disconnected and had to call again, AND THE 4TH time I finally made it through the que and when I was put on hold, they disconnected me instead. BTW I still haven't got through...on my 5th attempt, fingers crossed no one hangs up on me!
AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!
Update: 5th time is the charm! Finally got the receipt, but had to spell my email address 5 times! WOW!”
“They switched me to another hotel and refused cancellation even though I baud for the cancellation option. Almost no way to get to customer service and then no help.”
“Arrived at hotel that was the opposite of what it was described as. Hotel clerk agreed and called booking company to refund due to "hotel at fault". Received email from reservation Stays, also stating "hotel at fault" and that they would contact within 20 minutes
Never received a call and they won't respond to calls or multiple emails. $156+ for 15 minutes in the lobby looking at a bug filled green pool. This was travel for family death, not vacation. Added salt to the wound.”
“The worst company ever to book or make a change to your reservation. Thought I was talking with the hotel to make my reservation but it was these people and the worst mistake ever.
Please double check who you are making reservations through, these people just want your money and don't care about your needs.”
“Scam - do not use these crooks!
Was on Hyatt site and ending up booking through this scam site somehow.
I am so careful about this and it still occurred.”
“This is the worst third party booking company I have ever dealt with. Asked for a refund for one night due to hotel conditions. Hotel would refund but reservation stay will not do their job and request a waiver for a refund. Horrible. Service. Ever.”
“Clicked on a phone number on a marriott site and it went to reservationstay. Made my reservation, charged my car and sent a confirmation email. I called the hotel to learn no reservation was made. Called the number in their email and waited on hold for an incredibly long time. Person answered acted all concerned until I mentioned I called the hotel directly at which point she hung up on my. So cancelled my credit card.”
“I was booking a block of rooms for a group. Initially, not told that the rooms were non-refundable. Once I asked about it, they became 'refundable' for a week after booking. When I said, I'm sorry, I'll book online because I see they are refundable online up until 24 hours before travel date, the agent suddenly found 'refundable' rooms. RED FLAG #1. As I proceeded through the process, I gave my CC. The charges were going through immediately and the CC company was asking for verification. I had this feeling in my gut. RED FLAG #2. I received my confirmation in email form. I thought phew. This was legit. Then realized I was charged in USD$ when travelling in Canada to a Canadian hotel and suddenly this 'deal' was actually WAY more expensive. I was on the line with the agent still and asked to cancel everything -- all refundable right? She said, she would 'transfer' me. After 3 min on hold. She said oh, everyone must be busy. Here's the direct number to make changes. RED FLAG #3. The direct number goes to a machine that sends you in a loop. RED FLAG #4. One of my rooms came through as non-refundable when that was NOT the arrangement. I found a different number to call and when I speak to the agent there, I receive a boilerplate paragraph about how it's a legitimate company and she is sorry but she can not make modifications to the reservation because they have a verification system. She will not answer questions. RED FLAG # 5. The hotel has verified I do have one room there but I can not get out of it or get a refund even though this is what I specified in booking. There is no recourse with the credit card company because I am receiving a product for my money.”
“Thought I reserving thru the embassy suites site. Wrong! Was charged $4,469.99 for a 24 night stay. Itemized receipt from hotel was only $3,479.76. A $990.23 difference. Always check the address bar when booking.”
“Scammers. They changed my booking from 6 nights to 2 without checking with me, and when I called back to book the rest they jacked the price up several hundred dollars and refuses to refund the initial 2 nights”
“Lousy customer service! If you cancel your reservation you will not get your full refund back as stated. If you call, you’re told you will be fully refunded in 3-5 business days. Don’t count on it. They won’t even respond to your emails. I received a partial refund and am still waiting for the rest 30 days later. I thought I was making a reservation directly with the Hilton Hotel but somehow the reservation confirmation came from reservation stays. Be careful while trying to book a hotel online because somehow they are able to trick you into thinking you’re dealing with hotel. Don’t be tricked into dealing with them!”
“I cancelled my reservation and was assured I would receive my full refund but the refund was 157.00 short. The reference number is B_8263504. Please refund the rest!”
“It said Hilton etc when I pulled up site, gal said she was Hilton as I asked after some strange questions to me. She out and out lied snd found out after invoice of payment recvd with no business name. Red Flag. Hilton Hotel does not have my redervation either. Scam and Hilton should be aware!”
“WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I Put in my dates to reserve a hotel, their website changed the dates to show availability and cheaper prices, not realizing this, I booked under the false dates. I immediately called them, they refused to refund my money. I’m now processing this through my bank. 3rd party booking is trash.”
“Avoid using ReservationStays!! Due to a health issue, we needed to cancel our 6-day reservation. I contacted the hotel and was told that I would be charged only one night if I cancelled, but…this was when I found out I had used a 3rd party reservation vendor and needed to contact them directly. I thought I had dealt directly with the hotel so shame on ReservationStays for being so sneaky. And, while the hotel is willing to refund me 5/6 of my money, ReservationStays will not refund a dime because I didn’t cancel within a week of making the reservation. Health issue or not, they’ll pocket the balance of my reservation charge ($3,000).”
