Sold an item 2 months ago and still no payout from Reverb.com despite numerous communications with them and supervisors in support. Do Not Use Reverb.com.

First time using Reverb. Seller never shipped after 5 days. Told they couldn't find the item! Got a refund and wasted my time.

This is a terrible company. They started because the founder thought eBay had poor service; however, eBay is a million times better than this joke of a marketplace. I do not recommend using Reverb. If you have any issues, they are no help and will drag things out over the "5-business days" to make you wait. Also, you only get chat bots, not people you can work with or speak to.

Only way to talk with anyone at Reverb is through chat. Because it’s a BOT, no real help. I withdrew my listing g and would never use this company again. Sad thing is I had potential buyers but because I could validate some information with Reverb, I wasn’t able to sell.

Received a damaged guitar a week ago and Reverb still will not give me a refund or a return label. Horrible customer service. They could care less. Never buy from them. Lie about how long it will take.

Absolutely no support for any problems you may run into with a seller. Reverb.com has no customer service that I can find at all. They have a lot of pre-written statements that they will send you until you figure out that there simply is no help and that you're on your own. Reverb is a very disappointing platform for buying anything. There are lots of other options out there...STAY AWAY FROM THIS OUTFIT!

No email replies from Reverb until you file a PayPal case. Chat is a bot and absolutely worthless if you have an issue.

Thieving practices like in Africa. They will take 10 percent of the price together with paypal. The fee is calculated even with the price of the postman, which is outrageous. Everything is fine for the buyer, but for the seller it's complete hell on earth.

Thought I might try Reverb to buy a guitar at what was admittedly a fair market price. Money was accepted and all emails from Reverb and seller were answered in a timely manner. Days later a message was sent to me stating the guitar was not available despite having my money for 4 days. A refund was issued and it is pending. Reverb responds to complaints with "we are not responsible for refunds or communication between buyer and seller, etc. BS" Buyer beware because sellers are offering things perhaps not available in the first place. Done with Reverb....horrid customer service. It is not my job to organize their messaging and emails. Refund still "pending"

Worst selling platform I’ve ever used. Don’t even bother trying to sell something on this app. You will waste an hour+ of your life

Selling on Reverb is a very bad idea. Savvy buyers can morph the “as is” purchase into an unfettered return policy. They do this buy altering the instrument just slightly enough to create an issue. Then report to reverb that the instrument is not as described. So I sold a near brand new Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul 1968 reissue. Not a day after the buyer received it he texted me and asked if the nut was the original nut. Of course it was. He said that d string and only the d string was buzzing. Ultimately he was able to get a refund. What he did was he filed the nut at the d string down just enough that it was lowered to buzz. You don’t have to be a guitar tech to know how that little trick will work. So buzzing on one string and it being a wound string is rare unless there is a specific reason such as the saddle or the nut being off a bit. If it was the neck, fretboard or frets it would likely result in issues effecting more than one string. So if a buyer just decides he doesn’t want the instrument he can pull a stunt like this. I am not a brick and mortar retail store with a liberal return policy. And yet Reverb basically allows buyers to users the as us policy. I would be very cautious about selling on Reverb. Not to mention their fees are outrageous.

Reverb sucks in their customer service dept. They have a bot answering chats. They post old listing for guitars I sold that were use and cheaper priced but don't allow you to delete them so when i go to sell new guitars of the same model everyone sends links of the cheaper models that were used not understanding these are new and don't want to purchase at the correct price. Reverb won't allow for the old sales of the used guitars to be removed which is dumb. So I have to suffer for it and I'm their customer doesnt make sense and I cant speak to a customer rep. Insane. At least ebay you can speak to someone.

This company's TOS is written to completely immunize it's officers etc from ANY responsibility to the people who use the site's services. My personal experience has been frustrating to say the least, and I will say this as a warning to others, "Reverb is NOT a safe site to do business with." Read this legal stuff: __________ (I) Full Waiver: YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE AND RELEASE REVERB (AND REVERB'S OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AGENTS, SUBSIDIARIES, JOINT VENTURES AND EMPLOYEES) FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS AND DAMAGES (ACTUAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL) OF EVERY KIND AND NATURE, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, SUSPECTED AND UNSUSPECTED, DISCLOSED AND UNDISCLOSED, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH THE SITE, SERVICES OR YOUR USE OF THE SAME. ______ If I had read that, I would NEVER have given Reverb a credit card authorization for over 2,000 USD. NO WAY. Beware.

Horrible company to deal with! First off hidden selling fees, second they sold my equipment 13 days ago…….. my buyer received the equipment 10 days ago…… and I have not received my money yet! Over $5,700 they are holding back. You have to connect your bank account thru an called, Plaid, I did that and they sent on penny to my account 7 days ago. Nothing since. NO PHONE NUMBER TO CALL! You have to use the on line help desk……… Idiots! No body knows what's going on. Will never use Reverb again……. Simply horrible service.

Tips for using Reverb: 1. Do not fall for requests to take the sale offsite. This is a scam 99% of the time, and against Reverb's ToS 100% of the time. 2. Do not buy from 0 feedback sellers who only accept PayPal. Scam. 3. When I sell an item I buy my shipping labels through Reverb. This way you get paid as soon as you print the label. 4. Be persistent with customer service. No, their support is not very good, but the squeaky wheel gets the grease. As on most of these rating sites, people are big mad about their own errors, or that they didn't understand the ToS. Reverb has plenty of issues, but it's still better than Craigslist or Ebay. I swear that most of these reviewers have also been victimized by the Nigerian Prince email scam. Get smart, don't get scammed.

I don’t like the fact that reverb does not have a phone support. I have been trying to get a refund for a week and I feel like I’m trying to get a dumb computer to help me out. I just want to call someone and get it figured out. I’m I really that unimportant????

Bought guitar from neighbouring EU country. Should mean no dispatch issues or delivery problems. The seller then said they couldn't deliver and I should ask for refund. Reverb responded saying I must wait for the seller to respond again to my demand request though it was them who said claim cos they couldn't deliver. Clear scam from both Reverb & the seller. Would give zero stars if possible.

Worst customer service ever! I've sold a guitar to a guy in a different country. The carrier tried to deliver the parcel even if it was completely torn up and the guitar stolen, at least that's what the buyer says. I've immediately reported everything to the shipping company. They're looking into it. So I'm waiting, but that's not good enough, stupid Reverb is mobbing me trying to force me to pay immediately from my own pocket. "They have to provide the best experience to the buyer.." they say, but what about me? No help at all? I'm not some kind of shop. Of course if on top of their super expensive fees you pay for their super expensive shipping labels then MAYBE they'll help you too. Worst experience ever. Sell your stuff somewhere else.

I truly wish there was a zero-star review, just for this company. I was selling SM57 microphones I had bought in bulk, and WITHOUT REASON, they suspended my account and it was placed "under review". That "review" lasted less than 10 minutes, as I got an email from one of their reps, Jimmy B. saying "After reviewing your account and listings, we are unable to move forward for risk-related reasons." I replied to his email in UNDER ONE MINUTE to ask why my account was suspended, and they have not responded to me in 3 days and counting. I'm attaching screenshots with time stamps to prove it. Extremely unprofessional, terrible company.

I am a 5 star rated customer on this site. Sold a guitar (30 year old) with clear pictures and correct description and no refund policy as it went from UK to the U.S. The buyer decided it was not what he wanted and changed his mind. Wanted his money back and I had to pay postage and delivery both ways. I refused as it was unfounded and not a valid reason. Reverb decided that they will take the money out of my account and left me now wit a 200 pound import tax bill at UK customs to get my own product back. I total I paid 280 pounds to keep my own guitar. Reverb you have lost a 5 star seller and buyer, hope you are happy.
