“Revive Financial has indeed revived my financial circumstances. After years of difficult health issues, job loss and ultimately losing my home, Revive was recommended to me as an alternative to bankruptcy or worse. After many years of depression, anxiety and stress, with the help of Revive I can finally see an end to this awful time. With debt waivers, frozen interest payments and multiple complex negotiations on my behalf, Javier Schwab has arranged an affordable plan for my family and I to work our way back to financial health. Javier, Brett Gavin and their teams at Revive have been understanding and patient at all times. At no time did they make me feel embarrassed or too hopeless to help. The work they do to help Australians every day is so important and under rewarded I am sure. “Thankyou Steve! for your professional, empathetic service and for achieving an outstanding outcome, which has allowed me to focus more on my family. I had tried over several years to reach out to companies for help, to reduce the impact debt was having on my mental health and my ability to support my family, financially and emotionally. However, those companies had turned me away based on some very black and white selection criteria. Finally I discovered ReviveFinancial. Initially Megan helped me. She explained the process clearly and took the time to understand and document my situation in some detail. Shortly after that it was Steve who reviewed my file and due to his extensive experience and own personal values, recognised how significant my situation was - that it involved more than just finances and potentially I was vulnerable. So Steve took the initiative to closely manage my situation and lead the negotiations with my creditors. To some people, my situation may have appeared (on paper) as a debt I could no longer manage due to bad decisions, and since I still had a reasonable income, why should anyone be willing to help me. In reality I had made those decisions under a lot of pressure, whilst dealing with mental health issues. Once I could no longer manage my debt, everything began to spiral. Financial stress and the shame and guilt that comes along with it, on top of managing mental health issues, had consumed my daily thoughts and I could no longer give my family all the support they needed. There appeared to be no end in sight and I started to feel vulnerable - this was especially the case when I started to incur unforeseen medical bills which I could not pay. When Steve called me to introduce himself, it was evident he had reviewed all my details thoroughly and was prepared to have an important discussion with me that would be the start of getting life back on track for me and my family. Steve was empathetic and non judgemental right from the start, and able to connect with a lot of what I had explained about my situation. He was also very honest with me and made it clear what steps needed to happen and where there could still be challenges. Steve and I developed a strong rapport and I was able to trust his judgement early on. He is one of the most reliable people I know at following up what he said he would do and keeping in touch. Steve would also explain to me in some detail, the conversations he had with each of my creditors. I always looked forward to the next phone call and the reassurance Steve gave me. In the end, Steve’s persistence, experience and negotiation skills resulted in an Outstanding Outcome! - not only financially but more importantly, emotionally. He was extremely effective at explaining my situation to my creditors and negotiating some significant relief. Already I have been far less consumed by stressful thoughts and able to focus on giving my family all the support they need - I am truly enjoying just being in the moment with them. For the first time in a long time, I can see an end to my debt and I respect the opportunity given to me to learn from the past and build a better future for my family. Thank you Steve for giving it the “human touch”. I am truly grateful and I wish you and your family all the best in the future. Thanks to Jarrod, Naomi and Aimee who helped support Steve behind the scenes - I know there are quite a few people at ReviveFinancial who have worked first hand alongside some of the creditors they negotiate with, and this is valuable experience. Thanks also to my creditors, ANZ, Commonwealth Bank, NAB, Telstra and Optus who showed compassion and were able to provide me with much needed relief. I would highly recommend ReviveFinancial to anyone who knows they are struggling, regardless of their situation - there can be light at the end of the tunnel.”
