On multiple occasions my account was blocked for everyday transactions (supermarket, uber, pub etc) which the bank flagged as suspicious. I raised this with them and they said nothing can be done and this is part of their security measure. This ALWAYS happens! More recently, when my card was stolen and multiple transactions were made amounting to over £1500, Revolut refuse to provide a refund for the stolen funds. I spent HOURS chatting to their chat support team (there’s no number you can call) and they’ve been unhelpful in resolving my issue. I was then told I needed to raise a complaint, which I did and provided overwhelming evidence to prove transactions were fraudulent. 5 transactions were made within 2 minutes, of which 3 were made at the same time and I provided a police report as requested by their chat support team. Yet they still didn’t consider the transactions as fraudulent and refuse to refund what was stolen. As a first line of defence, Revolut should have appropriate systems in place to detect unusual activities. The bank failed to flag payments as suspicious and block those transactions. They should have monitored transaction patterns and flag anomalies. Revolut should have looked into transaction frequency, amount, historical data, investigated the merchant, looked into nature of transactions, and factored in the time in which the transactions were made and failed to do so. According to the Financial Conduct Authority, a customer has the right to request a refund and the refund should be in the customer’s account by the end of the next business day. Revolut failed to do this and failed to do its due diligence to conduct proper investigation on the transactions made. I still don’t have the refund!

Completely appalled at the way they treat customers who are vulnerable "I'm completely appalled at the way that this bank treats its customers. As a UK-registered bank, I expected much better service. Firstly, they have taken £750 per month from my business account for an Enterprise Plan that I do not know about ever signing up for, nor would I need or want it. Secondly, I've spent hours and hours trying to get help through their chat support, which has been shockingly bad. When I asked for extra help under the Terms of the Disability Act 2010 due to my disability making chat support difficult for me, one of their support team referred to me as "These types of users". It's completely unacceptable.

I opened an account for the purpose of transferring funds and also keeping funds in a foreign currency. The setup process seemed a bit clunky, especially how they ask to create an image of your ID as a verification. I also did not particularly like that the option to manage accounts and funds through a web browser is very limited. It is all managed through the phone app. My next step was to fund my new account by using a debit card from my existing bank. No funds showed up after a week which seemed suspicious, and I am not comfortable managing money per trial-and-error. When trying to close the account, the required verification code was never sent. An online chat with one of their agents didn't help me either. They asked to take a selfie with a piece of paper next to me showing "Revolut" on it. Hah? I was finally able to close the coount using a secondary verification method. Never again!!

WARNING!I only gave 5 stars to get to the top of the list!! DO NOT open an account with Revolut . Dreadful service Revolut has made my life a misery over the last month and won’t release £30k of my funds.

Waste of time for temporary credit cards. Basically, it doesnt work. Dont waste your time Situation: need to make a flight ticket purchase, so get a temporary credit card. Step 1/9999: create an account, email, confirm, passport (wtf, to use a temp cc), face pic Step 2: login and relogin and relogin and relogin. Step 3: If you manage not to mess up the onboarding you should get access to the temp cc numbers; Finalize the purchase, then it will surprise you with a new confirmation boss: Confirm on the app. It wont specify that theres 3 apps and you need the business app. If you manage to find the right one, it will bug out. Level 1 Bug out is login. It asks you for a pin. Support will tell you to log out and login so then Level 2 is it will ask you for your web password instead of pin. I am currently at Level 3 of the purchase confirmation boss. After you successfully enter your password on the app, it sends you an email for you to click confirm. After you click confirm on the email (I just entered the correct password...) it will say you didnt enter the correct code. Bro its a click... Theres no other button. The button says confirmed verify. Anyway, good luck navigating this mess if you proceed.

Someone fraudulently opened a business at my address and had a Revolut business card sent to it. Reported to Companies House and also to Revolut. After scrambling for a while online to find an email address, I emailed Revolut informing them of the fraud. I received a response a few days later asking me to follow a link to report the matter. The link asks for login which I couldn’t do as I’m not the account holder. Another email to Revolut who responded telling me to click the ‘forgot password’ link, which I did to go onto input several of my own personal details before it asked for an upload of my ID. I refused to do this and so another email to Revolut who insisted I needed to provide all info in order to report the matter. Yet another email to them to inform them that I won’t before they suggested that I use the email address on the same webpage, which happens to be the same email address I started with. Absolute joke of a company. I’m trying to do the right thing and aid them in preventing any loss they may have as a result of fraud, yet it’s absolutely impossible to do so without hacking into the fraudsters account. Oh, and no phone number to contact them on either!

Impossible to deal with. Declined a transer of funds and nothing I provided (i.e. everything that they asked for and more) rsolved the issue. Ttrying to send money between two of my own accounts for which they had all account details at an FCA registered bank. They also had their requested screenshots of bank statements etc. They know better than me what I can do with my own money so I cannot use this bank. Wasted a whole day messaging back and forth.

My nightmare with revolut began on January 16th 2024, after being a user for years and enjoying with trust this company and its services while never facing an issue, suddenly everything changed. I converted my balance in USD to send it to a recipient that i have succesfully sent money before multiple times. The bank transfer gets cancelled, so i try to send the balance to another recipient, then another, then even to my own accounts but nothing, none of them go through. I am forced to convert the balance back wasting the conversion fees. After opening multiple request with the customer service, the reply is always the same exact sentece: “ An unsuccesfull check performed by our partner to which we have no power to change the outcome” I don’t know if it’s just me but this has no meaning if not giving me the idea that this company has zero control on its own services and the users money. Zero accountability for not allowing users subscribed to the metal PAID PLAN to use the benefits they are paying for, blaming a mysterious entity named as their partner to avoid the matter. The joke keeps going when not understanding if this is a permanent limit or not i keep trying converting my balance into foreign currency to make attempts in sending payments and seeing they all gets rejected i am forced to lose money converting back. I have even filed a formal complaint to higher ranks of revolut and got the same answer again. I don’t know if at this point i should take legal action against this company, but i suggest everyone not to pay for their services and trust them because when a problem shows up you will bump into a gum wall leaving you with the though that nobody is interested in helping you solve it. The last thing you would wish from a financial institution is making you feel powerless with your own money you trusted them with.

They are nice when talking about handling money (transfer, exchange, share) but when I had an issue with dividends for a stock and had to contact their Support then bad things started to poor. They do not have a ticketing/complaint system, they keep pointing to the chat , but the chat team only says "we're sorry, we understand, but there is no answer to your issue yet". This just keeps going on for days, the simple agents keep saying they are managers, keep refusing escalating the issue and they just don't provide answers.

Terrible app, very difficult to add money to and poor quality of customer support. It will not accept any credit card payment nor (despite touting it as their preferred payment channel) Google Pay if the Google Pay account is linked to a credit card. It also will not accept debit cards from many countries and, even among the countries it seemingly will accept from, will refuse to accept some debit cards for no known reason. Arranging bank transfers is possible (from some banks in some countries) but slow process. Even just to get card express mailed to you upon first opening account, they will not let you pay by credit card and are unresponsive/unhelpful about finding solutions.

Well, it’s really sad to say that Revolut isn’t as good as everyone say, I do understand that if you tu use it just to pay a bill etc you may be happy with it but it all changes when you having bigger amounts transferred to this “bank”… they have just lost over £9000 which has been paid to me and now they are giving me a £100 for the hassle ! That’s joke ! They advertise themselves as a secured place to keep you crypto, well we have trusted them and now we have lost all those money. So please if you are a trader or person which keeps crypto DO NOT USE them as they can easy loose your money ! They aren’t protected despite what they say.

Awful. Truly disgusting. They blocked my account because of a crypto transaction. I gave them all the necessary documents they asked and still they have my account restricted after 20 days while they said their review will last maximum 3 hours. Unreliable amateurs

This app trading platform has serious issue! I had a problem three weeks ago that is exactly the opening hours in NY market and it got forzen so I can't trade out the stock which was seriously dropping. I chatted with the support and they can't even help. Pnly after 30 mins after the market opened, it resumeed back to normal and I lost 300$, not much but lesson learnt. No one come back to apologized and say anything. The support even said it was in normal situation where I had all screenshots the timeline and situation show to him that was the opposite of normal. I had similar situation happened today exactly right after the NY market opened. I didn't lost money as I wanted to play carefully. Their system simply not able to support the high volumn and super active trading time, and I am moving my assests out from there. There are way better and reliable systems out there which can provide a more secured environment for trading By the way, charging 1% for trading in Bitcoin is completely insane!

Giving a one star as they won’t accept none! Absolute bunch of twinkle! Sold some crypto and the buyer was sending money to the account it’s not arrived buyer wants me to release on the trading platform which I can’t do until I get my funds! Now saying can take 24 hrs told me I need stay in the chat but keeps disappearing To say I won’t use Revolut again is an understatement and will be reporting to the fca as reading these comments they’re useless
