The staff in the store (Romford) were extremely helpful when it came to selecting the right television. I decided to take out their extra guarantee and after 14 months it developed a problem. The people in the aftersales supercare dept are very polite, but the repair companies they subcontract to are extremely unhelpful and inept. After waiting over a week an engineer to turn up, he stood in front of the telly for less than 5 mins. He was described exactly the same details that had been written down on their form about the fault and then said ok we will be in touch. Unfortunately another 2 weeks have gone by and I have still not been told what is going to happen. Whenever I call I just get told we are waiting to hear back. Even though the service provided by Richer Sounds sales staff was initially good I will never take a guarantee out with them and probably wont shop there again because of the incompetent way they treat you when anything does go wrong.

Thank you for your review although I was terribly sorry to read of the poor service you've received relating to your faulty television. I'm at somewhat of a loss to explain what has happened here, I certainly would have expected the repair process to have been both much more coherent and efficient and will raise with the repair team urgently. Very poor after sales service, they refuse to give a contact email so you can never complain in writing so when they change their story you have no proof.. Between my partners and my account we spent almost 10k in there. We will never buy anything in there again.

They're ok when your spending spent nearly £6,000 in less than two years, they always seemed happy to see me, when something goes wrong they act like they have never seen you before. Took them 6 months to repair a speaker under warranty, in the and they changed it but they wanted me to pay £150 for what isn't as good a product as the other one was discontinued.

Bought Samsung tv £1,649 remote doesn't work, when I told the manager I was told they don't guarantee remotes because people throw them at the tv.

All ready to buy my TV and Soundbar so set off to John Lewis to compare and purchase. One sales rep showed me the TVs then when I selected, handed me over to a second, then when I enquired about a sound bar, I was handed to a 3rd. None of them knew which would be most compatible with the other and none of it could be delivered the next day when I wanted it. For £100.00 less at richersounds I found the PANASONIC VIERA TX50CX802B on the website and with a call to my closest store in Chelsea had the good fortune of getting Matthew who couldn't have been more knowledgeable and helpful. He arranged deliver for the next day NO PROBLEM and suggested the CAMBRIDGE AUDIO TVB2 as being a very good option. MAN.... he was SO Right. Love it. I knew I was buying a soundbar but had no idea that I was also getting such an amazing Bluetooth device for streaming all my music with incredible sound. If not for him, I would never have picked this brand. Working in 5* hotels and knowing service, these guys provide it! and they care about their trade. It was so great to get Matthew after having experienced 5 guys at JL that seemed to have transferred from the suit department. There was one glitch setting it up as I was trying to use an HMDI cable, but with one call into the shop, I got Jermaine, who explained the Fibre Optic link in 2 seconds flat and guessed that as the problem from the get go. If its anything audiovisual... go see these guys! Keith

I bought some sound equipment with a new LED TV on 11th Jan 2015 from Richer Sounds Birmingham store. This equipment was meant to decode the optical digital sound signal from the TV and play through a stereo amp. I never managed to get the TV to work this way and as the sound from the LG Television was acceptable and I live 60 miles away, never got round to returning the faulty goods until 01/01 2016. The person who served me was a new trainee and managed to locate my purchase on their database with a little help from the manager and fully refund me. This was not an easy problem to resolve as I hadn't bothered to take the receipt with me. Top marks for team work and good customer service. I will definitely use you again.

No problem when you come to buy staff but if something goes wrong later. You are left in a spiral of a "i cant make decision (manager)" "i cant do any thing more " "we need to speak to manufacture in Germany " " we are waiting for approval" etc. And thats all after they damage my Av Receiver after repair of a Hdmi input. It came back with big bump Inside out where Power Unit is, so badly that all unit wobble (one feet around 1-1,5 cm in air ). So it been send back 2 more time. With no fix . I came to store 3 times after calls that my unit is back repaired just to discover that is still same shape. Why they cant open box to look inside or they was doing just to wind me up. They offered me a unit what i dont like and dont want i offer to pay the different in price for different Receiver Still didn't receive any refund or credit without mention of any overcompensation for my time, fuel, parking fees etc. Its a JOKE. And that all for 5 years VIP extra warranty. As a customer you are invited to leave a product review . If you write that the item isn't worth the money / poor quality or dosen't make any improvement to your system ? They act like BIG BABIES and refuse to publish your review and tell you to go to customer services who basicly BULL YOU UP & FOBB YOU OFF with pathetic excuses . Honestly I have never met such a mardy company . Talk about throwing the toys out of the pram when they don't get their own way . " pathetic in my book " frieghtened of somebody saying a product they sell is garbage !

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Richer Sounds Leeds, I bought a new TV from them on Monday and Darren arranged for it to be delivered the SAME day, Mike the delivery driver was brilliant, he came to the door before bringing in the TV, incase there were any people about who could see new equipment being delivered, how thoughtful. I actually set up the TV myself, not bad for someone approaching 70, had a couple of questions during the set up operation, but a quick call to the shop both times and help was clearly given, without making me feel like a neanderthal. This is the best service I have ever had from any company and I can't recommend them highly enough ...... this is the company to buy from without a doubt

Bought my first 40" smart LED tv, I god a very reasonal price with the best discount. I also checked on other things they sell, they were really in good condition and probably last 50 years or more. One of the best stores!

My mum loved the LG 32" TV. The delivering was on time and I would definitely shop again at Richer Sounds.
