You can always tell the quality of a supplier when something doesn't go right. One item was not correct and despite filling out a form on the website to get a replacement and followiong up with an email a week later still no reply.

Ordered and paid for a pellet BBQ on the Monday, no response for 4 days, and when I followed up with a phonecall after no response from a "contact us" query was told that there was a stock problem and they don't actually have it in stock. I wonder how long it would have taken them to inform me if I did not follow up.

Absolutely atrocious customer service. Ordered a bbq online. Went to collect to be told to come back as the bbq couldn’t be found. Was then contacted to day it’s been found then the next day another message to say sorry it’s not been found. Would not have happened in years gone by.

Ordered a Weber thermometer as a present. When it arrived the only protection was the Weber box itself. The address Label was stuck on the box over the instructions and the flimsy box was badly squashed and damaged part of which had been fixed by someone with sellotape. Their warehouse presumably. The packaging therefore looked awful although thankfully the recipient of the present laughed Reported to Riverside explaining it was a present. They asked for photos which I provided and they apologised and advised they would investigate further. They came back again apologising asking if I wanted a replacement or refund. If they had read my initial email properly they would have seen that I had already given it as a present. Either the apology was an automated response or their representative was in auto reply mode Where has proper customer service gone?

Placed an order on Saturday, they didn’t send it, Wednesday they email me to tell me they don’t have everything I ordered in stock, they still don’t send it. Friday they email again to say now more stuff is out of stock. Avoid this “business” if you’d like to get the order you’ve paid for in any reasonable timeframe. Go with Riverside if you like to have no idea what of your order you’re going to receive and when.

Very disappointed, first delivery never arrived, took ages for a response to email, staff working at home not giving the facility to make calls which would have saved a lot more time too. Couldn't forfill my order now as out of stock and the previous order not receipted back, then 2nd order never arrived on Tues as promised but today Weds and only after another email had been sent asking when it was going to arrive. Normally boxed so that you can lift easily, but no consideration, box weighed a ton!! Such a shame as never had a problem in the past.

I’m afraid I had a terrible experience. The company sent out the wrong model (most likely intentionally) as the one I requested was OOS. I suspect they took a chance and thought I’d accept the wrong model with a slight price correction. Normally these types of companies are fully insured against this and never lose out. The company did not even agree to collect the pallets that were left on my driveway and so I had to dispose of them at my own expense. It’s an immoral and dishonest act and as a consumer there’s no protection for this type is selling activity. I will never be shopping here again and the management of this company should be extremely embarrassed and ashamed of their conduct.

Disappointed with the delivery of the item and general customer service (Weber BBQ Traveller). I ended up cancelling the order. Ordered on a Tuesday at around 10:30am with 1-3 day delivery August 2024. I waited until the following Saturday (day 4) to contact Riverside to ask why I had not received my item. I was told the BBQ had been dispatched and was due for delivery Monday coming. I asked them if it would definitely be delivered Monday as I was going on holiday that day after (BBQ intended purchase purpose). They assured me it would and meaning I did not need a backup plan. Monday came and went without delivery. I rang mid-afternoon Monday to Riverside and got a new person who said the item had only been dispatched Friday and would be due for delivery on Wednesday (8 day delivery). To late, not the quoted delivery, and not the delivery I was quoted on my chase up call which left me scratching around for a BBQ last minute for our family holiday! Not impressed at all! Only credit to them was the fast refunded on my cancelled order.

Poor customer service. Couldn't deliver within a week key alone the one to three business days. When I raised it with them multiple times, they wanted to charge me £50 to deliver it within four days. Went elsewhere to get the bbq on time for my event. Embarrassing!

Very Poor Service. Ordered the Weber Spirit II e320 and I was contacted by the courier to arrange a delivery date. Then 10 days after ordering and paying for the BBq I was told that it was out of stock. Very poor communication for their so called customer service. Won’t use them again.

I ordered a BBQ and paid for next day delivery placing my order on a Thursday night. I expected to get it Saturday but got an email from the delivery company advising delivery would be Monday - too late for my Sunday BBQ plans. I emailed Riverside and have not received a reply some 2 weeks later. Next day delivery it seems is only available if you order Monday - Thursday however they will take your money for next day delivery whenever you order. Don’t expect a reply if you have an issue with an order from this company they don’t care once they have your cash.

Great BBQ, as expected from Weber. However, not so great from Riverside/ Whitestores! 3 Days after ordering a product falsely advertised as being ’on special’ after overpricing it by £30, gets marked down by £90.00. This is unfair trading, and against requirements set out in the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

Ordered a weber barbecue for my sons birthday. Arrived badly damaged. Customer service is horrendous and slow to answer. We requested a new barbecue, which is what we had paid for, and they requested a spare part instead. When you pay for a NEW barbecue you don’t expect to receive a badly damaged one which was clearly like that when sent out! Very unhappy customer!

I went to Riverside as someone had recommended it to me and I thought it would be the easiest route for buying a barbecue. My grandfather purchased the barbecue as a gift and input the wrong postcode by mistake. White Stores tried to charge him £160 for changing the delivery address. We then cancelled the order (which they also charged us for) and tried again. We requested 2 man delivery but only 1 person turned up (a day later than they had told me) so I had to carry the barbecue myself down a flight of stairs. Unfortunately, you only speak to people at White Stores with these concerns who are quite unhelpful. It is not clear when making the purchase that riverside do not deal with the customer support themselves. I got the purchase in the end after about a month, but overall it was quite a difficult/ time wasting experience for the sake of a barbecue.
