Returned items in April. No reply re e mails untill I sent via PayPal. Over 4 weeks still no refund so have had to claim via PayPal .poor service. Won’t use again still no refund

No customer service / no acknowledgment or refund of returns. Returned 2 items totalling £60 at the beginning of May. Phone lines have been down reportedly due to a service provider issue for two weeks and no response to e-mails. Would never order from them again Not hopeful that I will receive my refund -the boxes below should have an option of ‘not received’ under refund. Also ‘No response’ to communication!

Hi all, I wrote a review yesterday as I too like lots of you was frustrated with trying to contact the company about an overdue refund, Itook someone's advice and went to Roman's Facebook page and messaged them with my order reference and Thankfully I was contacted and received my refund within 12hrs .

Agree with all these comments I myself sent back a jacket foe exchanheard nothing sent 3 emails phone line was down very disappointing I always shop at Romans but thus put me off I probably wont return to online shopping with this company if they don't get there act together

AVOID THIS COMPANY. No reply to emails and apparently their phone lines aren’t working. I returned over £100 worth of goods which I know they received 5th May. My advice is buy their brand through Next or pay for on Klarna who have at least paused payment.

"NO Customer Service Response" -- I returned 2 dresses £117 On 25/03/2022. parcel still showing with Leeds royal mail, I tried to claim compensation from Royal mail. That was rejected as the proof of postage contract is with Roman, and apparently they should refund me. After several emails, Roman have "NOT" replied to myself, I am now trying Resolver Co.uk. and so far they have "NOT" responded to Resolver, Absolutely disgusting. I will never use Roman again. Through no fault of my own I am £117 out of pocket.

Returned an item, no refund despite emails asking where my refund was. Took it up with PayPal and was refunded almost immediately. Won’t be buying from them again.

This was posted on Facebook 3 days ago, hopefully will get the refund I’ve been chasing for the past month. RE: Outstanding Returns‼️ Due to a system outage at head office on 4th May, our returns process has been delayed, as many of you are aware. This significantly impacted our connectivity at head office which led to many emails and customer service queries being undeliverable to our servers. We are now working day and night to ensure every email and message is responded to as soon as possible, therefore, we recommend only sending your message once to avoid additional delays. Since this system outage occurred, we have opened up a new warehouse to enable us to process refunds at a much quicker rate, which is proving a success. As we are in between changing over to our new returns system there has also been additional delays, especially for those returns arriving back in late April. We are now in the process of catching up on all overdue returns and appreciate your patience whilst we rectify all issues. We would like to stress that at this time ONLY orders placed between 14th April and 12th May have been affected by these unprecedented delays. Orders placed and returned to us after the 12th May should not have been impacted and our ongoing systems are now back to normal whilst we work through the backlog of orders. We sincerely apologise for the lack of communication and we assure you that we are working around the clock to fulfil every return as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience during this busy period❤️

I returned 2 parcels on the same day. 1 has been refunded the other 1 has not .. the 2nd parcel was not the order I asked for and it’s funny how that’s not been refunded. I have sent 3 messages and they have responded with they have a outage for their refunds and moved to a new warehouse and working to get refunds processed. Going to have to dispute with my credit card company as statement due to be paid next week. It’s ok them saying will be refunded but it’s over £200. I shopped a lot with RO but this has put me off ordering now and they have lost a customer.

I have proof of returned parcel being received on 24/4/22 but no response from the company at all until I escalated things via PayPal & placed a review on trustpilot approx 3 weeks later. I have since received a replacement for damaged item but still no refund despite an email saying it was being processed last week. I really hope they get their act together soon as it’s such a shame if I don’t have the confidence to purchase in the future

Same as everyone else it seems, after contacting Roman 3 times on their dedicated form regarding my return I finally got a email back saying they received my parcel on the 24/4/22 & to please wait up to 21 days for a refund, still waiting, They are in fact contravening the "Consumer Protection Rights "which states refunds should take no longer than 14 days ,bearing that in mind many of us loyal customers were quite understanding & prepared to give them longer but enough is enough now GIVE US OUR MONEY !!! .I've also tried the "Resolver Co.Uk" a free service recommended by the "Money Expert" waiting to see outcome of this !!! Needless to say I'm another customer who won't be buying from them again.

Really poor customer service. I am still awaiting a refund after 13 days of returning the item. I have filled out three contact forms and have had no response. There is no way of contacting them by telephone. Very frustrating and doesn’t make you want to purchase from them again in the future.

Ordered 4 dresses - only 1 suitable. Lovely dress and good value in the sale. Was going to order more after my refund had been received but 4 weeks later no refund received. Royal mail tracker says delivered to Roman on 24th April. I emailed them 21st May chasing refund of £90.90. I received an email acknowledgement stating they "aim to respond within 2 working days". 4 working days later no update so tried to call them on 0121 6360701 and recorded message says they have a phone outage and to email them!

I have been waiting for nearly a month for a return, that is confirmed as delivered back to the Roman warehouse, to be registered. Whist I appreciate they are having issues the customer experience has been shocking.

Same as everyone else sadly, returned two items in April through Royal Mail and nothing. Emailed last week and finally had a response today saying we have received your items but can you confirm the item numbers and sizes- why would they need this if they have received the items? I am a long term customer of Romans but won’t be using them again, my mum is having the same problem trying to get a refund

Return received by Romans on 1st May. I got one reply to my email but it took a week and then asking for more details and nothing since. Just delay tactics! So annoyed,I want my £70 back! Disgusting service for a company that I thought was reputable. Need closing down as seems to be a common trend!
