Absolutely terrible communication. Rona refuses to honour a warranty that came with my purchase and is well within the warranty period. Every person I speak to just passes me off to someone else. I had one person tell me the issue isn't covered. How do you diagnose something when you haven't inspected something, or even read the emails I've written? The responses I get via email make it very clear that they haven't actually read them.. One csr was kind enough to offer me 10% off up to a max of $50...like that will make up for the $500 brick I have sitting in my room. I will never purchase anything from this terrible store ever again as this is probably the most ridiculous "customer service" I have ever had. The warranty is literally spelled out on the product manual, with contact info for Rona, and says Rona will cover it, and somehow Rona thinks the warranty they offered doesn't apply to them.

BH Allen Rona on West 1st St North Vancouver. I have spent over $20000 on outdoor furniture here. I had an issue with a tank in their tank exchange program See my Yelp review for more details. Anyway, Ben the shift Manager would not exchange a full, faulty propane tank for good tank. I needed a receipt. Really? I told him my 8 year history with the store. Ben did not care. They just lost a loyal profitable customer for a $28 tank of propane.

This is regarding your abhorrent installation services. I bought a garage door opener and paid $199.99 for the installation. When the installer tried to install it, the keypad was defective and I called Chamberlain to send me a new one. The installer made a note in the 732120 file. When the garage key pad arrived, I contacted the installer directly, as I was directed to and he texted on July 23 "I can send him (the installer) next Monday or Tuesday." Then I got another text message from him: "Hi unfortunately tech won't be able to come today. I've been trying to get Rona to schedule an appointment for several hours but with no luck." So, then I called Rona the next day and spoke with someone who confirmed that the installer had made notes that he would need to return to finish the job because of the initial faulty keypad. I later got a phone call from Rona asking if Tuesday Aug. between 7-12 pm would be a good time for the installer to finish the job. I agreed. Today is August 5th. I waited beteeen 7 am and 12 pm for the installer at 12:30 I began making phone calls. The phone number attached to the text from Rona, not the installer HAD NO ONE AT THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE. NO ONE ANSWERED ANY CALLS I MADE OVER A TWO HOUR PERIOD. I called head office, they suggeted I call the store. I then called the store. The woman there said she would call the installer and have them call me. That phone call went to voicemail. When I called the number back, THERE WAS STILL NO ONE ANSWERING. I called head office again and said I wanted this resolved. When I asked to speak to the manager, the woman HUNG UP ON ME. At 2:39 I received a phone call from the installer saying that my appointment was NOT booked with him. So, who called me and booked the appointment almost ten days earlier? No one seems to know that answer to that one. Jennifer, from the local store, called me back to follow up, which I appreciated, but HOW ARE YOU GOING TO MAKE UP 8 HOURS OF MY DAY? The run around the being on hold, the phone number THAT WAS ATTACHED TO THE TEXT TO CALL SHOULD I NEED SUPPORT with no answer, the website that is included in the text for the booking is a bad URL, the fact that the installer did not come back to finish the job, which would have been just a few minutes, all despicable business behaviour. How will you make this right?

I bought a sander…Upon my first use, it was not performing as required. It was flimsy & not a good solid product, it would hesitate to work upon a little pressure. I went back to the store today, lined up waiting…I was the only one in line while 2 cashiers were talking about their nails. I was finally served in which the cashier said someone needs to check my item. What…this has NEVER happened to me before! The young man said “you used it didn’t you”? Of course I did, how would I know it is not a sufficient product! He called the Manager, Sajjad…he advised via phone call to the cashier that he won’t refund me…He finally came out of the office, already nodding his head & said we do not refund power tools! I have never heard of such a thing!! I explained the situation while the girls were still talking & laughing! Sajjad advised me that I should of asked for help in picking a sander…I replied that I did….he was rude & arrogant, telling me this is thei

Sorry Rona, but you are recommending your customer Froud product under name of Appliances protection plan ( Comerco ). Please change your contract with any another company otherwise it will affect Rona's Reputation .Don't spend your hard-earned money on this kind of spam; we think we will be worry-free after buying this kind of protection plan, but no. Since February 2021, the two burners were not working, and I gave a call to the protection plan providers. A technician came in on March 11, 2021, to have a look on the range and he mentioned that he will order the parts and come later to fix it. I waited until April 2021 to hear from Rona that when the technician will come and fix it but no one called or showed up. In line to this, I decided to give a follow-up to the plan protection provider as to when we can have our range fixed. Since April 2021, I have made 12-15 phone calls to the protection provider, and every time I have felt that I am being harassed by them, all the agents have provided misleading or different information during calls and agreed to return the calls after a day or so and actually they never gave a callback. As to date, I have not received any call to make an appointment so that I can have my range fixed. I have bought several products from Rona in the past and have had confidence in the products and customer service, however this bad experience has shaken me to give it a second thought. After spending many days n hours with Comerco and Rona they booked 20 july for fix but yesterday again i got the call n again same script words they said , they have product but their technician is busy, rebook it. but i refuse to again rebook after five months. They have a simple work plan. They delay you Try to find parts even take months always your call on waiting hours unprofessional staff no timeline if they fail to fix They are not provide a new one or any compensation. Now my request to customers like me, please go to any another store or provider.don't mess up your life with comerco.

Ordered online. Never received my order. Argued with Customer Service. They are "investigating". Said it would be at least a week before they got back to me. Meanwhile I can't afford to buy somewhere else until I can be refunded

This was my first and LAST experience with Rona. I ordered a product on line that arrived with the box open and the product completely destroyed. I called Rona Customer Service and was told if I returned the product to ANY Rona store that I would receive my refund right away. So I drove to the Bradford Store on Dissette which is the closest to my home and they told me they were not a corporate store and could not return it. So I was lied to by Customer Service. I had to go to the store in either Schomberg or Barrie, neither of which are near me. I drove to the Schomberg store and returned the item. A miserable experience and the last one with RONA.

These people are idiots. I ordered the same range hood twice and they kept sending me the wrong size so after a month of waiting for shipping for both I now have to order from somewhere else. The annoying part is when I brought this up to customer service they told me it was the right one when I could clearly see on the box that it was the sku number for the 36 inch one when I wanted the 30 inch one. According to them 30 inch range hoods are supposed to be 36 inches. How stupid are they???

They hired subcontractor to delivery my new A/C the guy had no dolly. Took a photo of him "dragging it across the parking lot and sidewalk to my apt" Box all ripped. Called the store no Manger picked up the phone. Called so called "Customer Service" their recording refers you back to the store...Nutz. paid $75 for shotty delivery. Horrible. No wonder many RONA gone out of business. Don't shop there!!!!

Placed an online order on March 27. And was shipped the wrong part, it took till May 3rd to get a return label then was shipped back and received on May 7th but took till July 7th for the refund! This has been the worst customer service EVER and I will never be ordering online or in store!

Just spent 1:04 hrs just to place an order for some heavy duty shelving units. And it was the worst buying experience ever. Sleepy customer service rep - had to ensure her for over an hour. She spent half the time trying to get authorization for a price match from Rona $249 to Lowe’s $198 item. Because it’s the same family of companies she tells me there is not 10% discount on price matches! Then the rest of the time was repeatedly trying to complete my profile. And after all that Rona’s ordering system wasn’t working so no credits cards worked. So after an hour I could not place an order!!! For all this utter waste of time, their faulty ordering system, and having to buy from Lowe’s all over again, she can only offer me 10% off my NEXT order! Not happening. Home Depot here I come,

I represent a company that sells to Rona. In order to send them invoices, I have to submit them via a portal online. I don't have time to submit the invoices manually through this portal; however, if I don't, they will charge the company an administration fee to process the check and actually pay us the money owed. This is an example of big corporation forcing other companies to do THEIR work, and save them time and money. It's disgusting and they should be ashamed.

Unbelievable how terrible the customer service. No communication between distribution centre/head office and store. Head office tells you to call the store but no one answer at the store or they cannot help. It has been a month now since I ordered my product and I'm still waiting. I've repeatly call the store and send email to head office. I'm just getting the I'm sorry reply and please reach out to store. Why is the customer doing all the work here?

Ordered on line. Showed it was in the store. Standing in line at customer service to pick it up and we get an email telling us it is no longer available. They sold it to a customer who went to the store in person instead of ordering it on line. Terrible!!!

I purchased an "Ener-G+" HEA-21288-LED hanging infrared gazebo heater from Rona after looking at reviews and specs on all other available similarly priced units available at local hardware stores. The service at my local Rona store was superb (Tsawwassen Commons) and the product itself far outshines (sic) any similar products available on the market. I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend others to consider getting one if they are looking for an infrared gazebo heater.

Outrageous service. Bot a Craftsman lawn mower through Rona on line. Machine was delivered to my house directly from Craftsman. I assembled the machine according to instructions and added oil and gas. Gas ran out of the air filter and the motor would not start. I contacted Briggs and Stratton. The technician said the float in the carburetor was likely stuck from the factory/warehouse. Contacted Rona customer service. They said an exchange would not be possible because the box the machine came in had been opened. They directed me to Craftsman (MTD in Canada). MTD said the warranty was with Briggs and Stratton and directed me to a repair shop. Rona won't take the machine back once gas has been put in. So now I have to contact a repair shop, drop off the mower, wait for it to be repaired, and pick it up, hopefully with no issues about the warranty being honoured on a machine that has never run. No peace offerings from Rona. No more dealings with Rona going forward, no more Craftsman products after this one, and no more Briggs and Stratton. Had plans for construction projects, will insist Rona not be the supplier of materials. Was a former regular customer.

Bought 1x4x8' Spruce lumber from Rona Trenton..Lucky if I have 6 straight pieces out of 20 lengths.. Wont be buying again.. :(
