“I paid for tracked delivery abroad (normal size envelope, around £10), it actually took a MONTH to be delivered.
In the same time I posted a card to the same address, about the same size, stickered it with 2 first class stamps and it was delivered in about 4 days. What the.....
Also, I'm trying to track another package but it's telling me there is no info. Well, where's the point of the tracking number??”
“Asked for my parcel to be 48 hour tracked, having got home realised I had been charged for 1st signed (far more expensive) but it said on receipt aim to deliver following day. 8 days later finally arrived. No tracking was available although said on their sight 48 tracked and just said posted at Wheatley post office, no other updates. Tried their customer services email no longer responding. Sight doesn't allow for you to go through claims process. Appalling service”
“Where do I start posted signed for parcel 8th December still showing in transit, buyer wants a refund tried phoning customer service 60 minute wait ,online complaints will not work, post office says leave it a couple of weeks. Not received post for 5 days even though I know I have 7 letters on way dated from 7th of December onwards. They are not fit for purpose and should be made to repay all late delivery post,I will now have to fight for refund if parcel is lost any other firm would be investigated.”
“Royal Snail more appropriate although I think that would be infinitely faster. I should have had 3 parcels arrive today all sent special delivery by 1pm not one has arrived! One has now spent over 24 hours sat at Gatwick mail centre which is where I assume it will spend Christmas and I will be a gift short. My dogs could do a better job of running the postal service”
“Constantly blaming COVID is the latest excuse!
So is it covids fault that all the big post offices have been closed down and that you employ criminals?”
“Stanmore High Street Post Office Manager was rude to me, humiliated me front of another customers because I didn’t know that there’s isn’t international letters delivery due to the coronavirus.I hope Royal Mail carefully select Branch Management in the future.”
“1. Just recd, 22/12/20 a bouquet of dead cut flowers sent 18/12/20.
2.Also recd bundle of 23 bills/letters/ cards on 16/12/20 some posted back on 27/11/20. Most had 1st class stamps.
3.Card sent 1st class on 8th Dec for 80th birthday on 15/12/20 arrived 22/12/20.
I could go on, numerous failures!!
DPD are performing well despite COVID 19 so what is wrong with Royal Mail???? Avoid RM like the plague! Use technology, the new normal! Avoid failing services. 😢nightmare! No direct complaints service I could find?”
“VERY VERY POOR SERVICE FROM ROYAL MAIL
AGAIN!!!!
ORDERED AN ITEM AND THEY SAID THAT THE WOULD DELIVER BETWEEN 10.46am-2.46pm
AFTER WAITING IN UNTIL 3.15PM ON THE LAST SATURDAY BEFORE CHRISTMAS, WHEN I RETURNED HOME THAT EVENING THEY LEFT A CARD TO SAY THEY TRIED TO DELIVER BUT I WAS OUT.
**IF THEY DELIVERED WHEN STATED THEY WOULD, I WOULD HAVE WAITED IN LONGER **
THE REASON I DID NOT WAIT IN ANY LONGER WAS BECAUSE A FEW DAYS EARLIER I HAD A PROBLEM WITH ANOTHEF DELIVERY.
ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT WE HAVE 2 LARGE ROYAL MAIL DEPOTS - RYDE AND NEWPORT.
ROYAL MAIL SENT IT TO NEWPORT IN ERROR.
THEN INSTEAD OF NEWORT TAKING IT TO RYDE 20 MINUTES AWAY THEY SENT IT TO GREENFORD IN MIDDLESEX.
I CONTACTED THE CEO HE SAID HE WILL ARRANGE
THAT I GET THE PARCEK THE NEXT DAY (I DID NOT)
AND I WAITED IN ALL DAY.
ROYAL MAIL APPEAR TO BE USELESS LATELY.
IN FUTURE ANY ORDERS I PLACE ONLINE OF THE RETAILERS USE ROYAL MAIL I WILL NOT BUY FROM THEM.
I DID SEND AN EMAIL TO MR STEPHEN BUCKLEY, ROYAL MAIL CEO - HE DID NOT REPLY.
MAYBE HE WAS TOO EMBARRASSED ADMITTING HE IS RUNNING A COWBOY OUTFIT.
IT'S A BIG THUMBS DOWN FOR ROYAL MAIL FROM ME!”
“Absolutely appalling. My medicines were posted fifteen days ago. I've now run out. I could walk from Leeds to Lincoln in two days. Still, could be worse, at least l'm still getting loads of junk mail.”
“Recieved a text message saying my item was going to be delived earlier today between 7.30am & 11.30am,then this evening recieved another message saying that my item was not delivered due to ne access.I will not publish online about how the royal mail does'nt know how to function.I will also inform all relevant departments.Cancel my delivery please,as i have no confidence in the royal mail.It was bad enough few years back when i did'nt recieve out british passports,as you delivery courier admitted he tried to deliver it several times at another address.TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!”
“I love Royal Mail and would be lost without them, They do a fantastic job and my items are always on time, even things i send are on time, I'm shocked at all these negative feedbacks, Royal Mail to me is the best in the world.”
“Was expecting a book to send as a present, ordered on 9th December but still waiting for delivery. Quinton sorting office are bad allthe time, losing things and posting through the wrong doors. Now at Chrstmas they are an absolute joke.”
“After posting an art commission to a friend over a week ago (intended as a Christmas gift) it has still not been delivered. I posted this first class and assumed it would be with him by now, and especially considering postage stamps are so expensive nowadays I am not best pleased. I understand covid is happening but as many people are saying on here, the website assures normal delivery times. Disappointing.”
“Posted Parcel 2nd class signed for on 08/12/20. Parcel has still not arrived at destination only 70 miles away after 13 days. Parcel contains Christmas gifts. This company is a disgrace and must be broken up as they do not provide the service expected. Customer care is non existent and it is impossible to speak with anyone. What a shambles.”
“I have spent £25 sending a regular lightweight parcel to Spain and after a week the parcel still hasn’t left the country. RM will blame Covid like every other company with bad customer service and poor logistics but you only need to read a few comments on this site.
The company is a disgrace. The word ‘royal’ is normally used to reflect a high standard. What a joke.”
