“I booked a redelivery for a gift for my future daughter in law and it was supposed to arrive on Thursday but it never arrived I called royal mail and they said that it would arrive today on the 11th of June but it has not arrived today”
“I just do not understand how a company as large as this appear completely unable to provide the service they offer and more importantly charge for. I sent a letter registered post. Recipients indicate to me letter did not arrive. Tried to check on Royal mail tracker this morning at 06.55. Site responded with the message ' Sorry, we're currently unable to confirm the status of your item with reference NYxxxxx' Please try again tomorrow' ( are they joking???)...Just to put this in perspective - It was announced in January of this year that Simon Thompson is now CEO Royal Mail with immediate effect, picking up a £525,000 salary, 13.6% pension allowance and potentially bonuses if the company makes any profit ( should be easy if they charge for items they do not provide) and meets performance targets - none was paid this year, but recent bonuses have boosted Royal Mail CEO's pay to around £1.5m per year.
Previously Simon was Managing Director of the NHS Track & Trace app. If it wasn't tragic it would be hilarious”
“Why bother texting a really large time slot like 'your parcel is due for delivery between 11.42 and 15.42, allow me to wait all day only to find out when I contact you that the package hasn't progress, oppsy. But don't worry you can wait around all day tomorrow when we might decide to deliver it, you're a joke and no wonder talk of privatisation is rife”
“Error all the time on your page. You do not now my address but deliver mail here every day. I have lived here for years and the property is not new. Your website is inadequate unhelpful and not fit for purpose. Re-directing customers to your site is disingenuous and not customer focused Royal Mail goes from extremely useless to a waste of time. “I wish I’d read all these reviews before posting my large letter with 24 hour tracked.
The letter contained important blood samples for tests I was already anxious enough about, without the added stress of them potentially being lost in the post.
Tracking as others say, is useless. The recipient eventually informed me my package had arrived, several days late, but the tracking was never updated.
I will definitely not be relying on
Royal Mail for anything important again. It’s not the first bad experience I’ve had - some birthday cards never got delivered a few months back too.
I feel for everyone who’s suffered as a consequence of their poor service.”

“Sent a birthday parcel to my brother. He's been at the same address for 30 years. Returned to me undelivered after three weeks saying 'insufficient address'. The POST OFFICE says it is nothing to do with them but between me and the ROYAL MAIL. Royal Mail can't be phoned, messaged or emailed. So I'm down £7.80 & no one wants to know. Pathetic.”
“2 parcels missing since the beginning of the 1st and 6th have 3 times to get answers no luck there the track and trace phone system just handles your parcel is on the way. The annoying thing their track and trace only handles one number only then get cut off is just standard so you don't know before hand whether your delivery will arrive on that. Try ringing phone just rings Royal Mail update your website to the 20th century okay what were dealing with in the world is not the best thing. “parcel sent out 48hr tracked.supposed to be delivered to blackpool from london. 4 days later it was sent to pendle sorting office by mistake,not blackpool, dont they look at the postcode, fy4, is for blackpool, total incompitence in my opinion, never had this trouble with hermes or other carriers, no wonder this company has gone down the toilet. supposed to arrive sat before 3pm, the same morning checked tracking and it mistakenly sent to pendle, another 3 days waiting i suppose,,.”
