I telephoned them to inform them about animal cruelty regarding several cats and how they were being kept ie in rabbit hutches but the rspca just did not want to know and yet they big themselves up saying they care well after my telephone call in my opinion they simply could not be bothered.

RSPCA are not about all creatures great and small. The inspectors use victimisation, bullying, threats, dishonesty and personal vendettas. One inspector preys on single females. Lies on cctv and recordings. Walks past and ignores dogs in cages with no water but goes after a horse in veterinary care and farrier care. Won't ring the farrier or read vet reports. Shoots a polo horse says a vet was present but the vet that supposedly was there had no idea of the situation. In another case same inspector ignores extreme domestic violence case with police involvement, shoots a childs pony and admits to feeding a laminitic pony grain, again the story of what happened doesn't make sense. Another situation was dishonest on paperwork and signs it, still seizes the horse but admits on cctv footage that is a vast improvement and owner followed orders but yet again fails to read vet reports and talk to farrier, chiro etc and still seizes it. In another situation knows a owner is in emergency accommodation due to family violence and was at the time going through court but still interviewed them knowing their mentally health was not the best. Made the person suicidal. Same inspector admits on a recorded conversation that he used threats of fines and taking it further to get what he wanted. This inspector doesn't know the difference of horse colours. Same Inspector left dogs tied up on chains with no food or water until locals saved them when they were notified that they were nearly dead and than the same inspector tried to blame the owner and others. But with a history of like what RSPCA is today trigger happy just ask the Brumbies, there is no surprise that the shoot first ask questions later. Just like a director or the CEO of RSPCA being dishonest in parliament what chances do any animals have.

2 dogs left in a kennel for 29 hours alone and no one living at the property. Dogs are continually been left 24 hours per day 6 days per week. RSPCA never came out was told on phone that they have limited resources and do their best. I've never known anything as useless in all my days on earth. Shocking service

This charity is a con and does not help or protect any animals at all. They know what is going on with an animal but are choosing to ignore people’s complaints and are doing absolutely nothing about it. I wouldn’t trust any of them to look after any animal at all. I could do a better job than any of them. There is no communication from them or even with internal departments. These poor animals are suffering and they don’t care. How do they sleep at night, obviously better than I do cos I’m the one worrying and stressing about the situation.

I had a dog that I'd rehomed, he had been treated poorly by his original owner. I gave him a new home and took on all his medical conditions. When his eye took bad for the third time I approached the RSPCA to see if they would help. I was informed that I was "outside" of the catchment area so wouldn't receive any help at all. Following his operation (the third) he was deemed so poorly and I had no choice but to have him put to sleep, for his benefit not mine. I would never leave anything nor would I support anything that they do!!

Called the RSPCA about the appalling treatment of Black Caviar. Weren’t really very interested. What is the difference between puppy farms and forcing pregnancy on a horse on a yearly basis. Black Caviar was put down because she had mastitis and laminitis both treatable conditions. Question that needs to be asked, “why did she have these conditions.” I wonder what the Racing Industry contributes to the RSPCA?

If I could give no stars I would. Neighbour went in to hospital 3 months ago. Left black lab and cockerel inside a tiny house. The son visits most days for 10 - 20 mins and lets dog out in the yards. The house is in squaller. The dog sits alone with rags for bedding, on a hard kitchen floor. RSPCA only bothered if the animals are in immediate danger. I assume that means about to or have died due to lack of water. Offered no help. I will NEVER donate to this "charity" again.

Never again will I contact the RSPCA or make any donation to them. I spent an hour in a queue on the phone yesterday and got nowhere as I got cut off. called again them this morning about a pigeon with a broken wing and was told to take him to the vet as it needed specialist care. I told them I could not catch it due to my age, condition and lack of transport. I was told to try other organisations. Great . My donation will go to "other organisation" if I do find any, which I have done without success either.

I have insured my puppy for top cover with rspca for a certain amount per fortnight, and when I tried to add a new puppy, 2 months different in age, they are charging me $10 extra per week. Wouldn’t you think bringing a second pet to their insurance would create the opposite service.

People had to beg the RSPCA in Cornwall to come out after several calls was made over several days from different people about having a huge concern about 3 little dogs. Two very small dogs have been kept inside a cat carrier without food and water for more than two days and just left in this heat. The third little dog tied up with a rope no longer than 30cm. Eventually after pleading with them they came out. We were disgusted with the RSPCA officer after he had a laugh with the abusers and even shook their hand!! Nothing was done about it! Maybe the officer was too scared to remove the dogs because they are a group of travellers but his excuse was that the dogs looked fine to him. The animal abusers saw the RSPCA and quickly gave the dogs water and now suddenly all is good!!???? Today the abuse continues and it will continue to their sad last breaths. Again the 2 little ones are back in their prison cell and the third dog tied to a short 30cm rope. The RSPCA SIMPLY DOESN'T CARE!!!! PEOPLE PLEASE DO NOT DONATE OR SUPPORT THEM AT ALL. THEY ONLY WANT CHARITY THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT ANIMALS AT ALL.

The RSPCA always state that animal welfare is the core ethos of their being in existence. I had two lost Frenchies turn up at my house. When I rang the RSPCA to see if anyone had rung in about them, the answer was yes. The woman who answered the phone then proceeded to advise that RSPCA Hunter Shelter did not collect any contact details from the woman who rang in! Her response was we do not have the contract for Council anymore, fullstop. The lack of interest given by the person on the other end of the phone demonstrated to me the utter lack of concern for animal welfare the RSPCA have at all. RSPCA, people come to you at a time when animals are in need of attention and care. You need to lift your game if in deed animal welfare is the what you are supposed to be about. Yesterday you failed and lost even more credibility in the process.

Thank you RSPCA for what you do - we picked up our beautiful rescue cat - Malachite - from the RSPCA in Adelaide today after he had all his vaccinations and dental surgery - we were just so impressed with the level of care that you have done for Malachite and other animals and your efforts just shine through in the way that this previous 'stray' cat has become such a lovely part of our family. Photo of Malachite after dental surgery today - still feeling a bit miserable!!
