After being with Saga for several years car insurance renewal price for this year was £864 compared to last year £356. No change in circumstances except turned 70 years old this year. Absolutely shocking. Shame on you Saga.

The car insurance process was terrible for a non fault claim although the advisor was polite and I thought all was good, 6 months later the problems began. I now know that Saga cancelled my claim with the underwriter the same day they submitted it. Then they transferred the claim for car hire and repair to Enterprise who I have heard pay Saga a fee to use them. Then 6 months after a no fault claim Enterprise contact me asking me to help their solicitors to recover costs from the at fault party and asking very intruding and personal financial questions and quoting very significant amounts of money to be recovered which was extremely concerning to me. It has been so very stressful and is now 7 months after the incident. If I’m insured with Saga and underwritten by LV that is who I expect to be handling my insurance issues. Not Enterprise! Very dissatisfied with Saga insurance processes. Also the online submit a complaint form was faulty and so I had to submit by email. The response to email was extremely slow. I wouldn’t use Saga car insurance again and if you do choose to use them insist they don’t use Enterprise for any claim you make.

I cannot view my policy online. Iv been intouch a number of times over the past 2 weeks with no response from anybody. I would not recomend them to anybody and will not be renewing my car insurance with them.

Waiting ages to talk to someone to discuss a complaint there number is with held so every time you call back you are put on hold and you eventually get though you can’t talk the person that knows about your complaint could not recon saga to anybody

Bought a new car identical to my old one price doubled so had to go else where charged me £200 which I find to be ridiculous!! T&Cs very misleading no support avoid at all cost absolutely rip off!!!

Wanted to change address on my car insurance but was told underwriter wouldn't insurance me at my new address. Asked why and was told the risk was probably too great but underwriter wouldn't',t give a reason. I challenged this as my partner was given cheaper insurance by his company at our new address. Was then told underwriter had tried my details again and I could be insuranced for £80 more on my current year or for £3 more if I started a full year of insurance. Not sure if Saga are totally incompetent, dishonest or both. Will never use for car insurance again. Also took 3 weeks to get through after numerous long waits on phone and being cut off twice after 20 minutes.

Last week my car broke down far from home where I was working, I'm insured for a hire car but couldn't get through to Saga. Today I've brought a new car, so need to update my policy before I can drive it. Made 15 (really!) calls to Saga, that last one holding from 5.15 to 6.00 pm, still no answer. Tried online but, like guy below, it told me 'Sorry our system seems to be having a problem'. So I can't collect my new car tomorrow which I need for work and going to have to hire one & take the hit. I don't know what's happened to Saga. They used to be so good.

I tried to cancel a home contents insurance. I was told there was a 10 minute queue. After holding on for 20 minutes I was finally put through to Travis. He spoke clearly and precisely and after hearing my request said he would put me through to a different dept. He passed me on and I was put into another queue. This time I was told the wait time was 15 minutes. After 20 minutes I gave up. Why was I passed from one queue and then to a second longer queue. I always liked Saga because I could speak to someone. That has changed for the worse. Sorry Saga you have lost my trust.

Trying to change vehicle on car policy. Sat in call queues for 15min than 30min with no answer!!! Tried online to do the change and the sage web page just kept saying its encountered a problem. Tryed online cah but that just put me back to the saga web. Considering junking the sage policy and using another insurer as I'm picking up the new car tomorrow.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. Made 14 Calls waited for more than 25 mins each time and still no-one answered. This company obviously is not interested in any new business. Called all of the numbers that were on their websites etc, SHAMBLES.

What an absolute joke this insurance company is, they say you can do alterations online but when i tried two days running it said to contact them, this is where the real issue started, no answer, wait at least 15 minutes online so i tried that for over 1 hour to no avail, try messaging, i tried this and it took over 14 hours for someone to email me so that was no good as it was the next day and i was at work, tried to call again and waited over one hour and no one answered it saying they were extremely busy. i have got a new car and cannot go out in it as i cannot change the insurance to my new car. god help me if ever i needed to claim. If i was you i would stay completely clear of these.

My Land lord insurance went up 150% and I didnt not see the letter about the increase.They took the new premium without permission (which legally they are allowed to do) Upon enquiry I was given the option of take or leave it attitude.Due to the insurance company costs were more so my premiums went from 250 to almost 600 pounds. Another company covered me for a fraction of the price so i cancelled. Now they are threatening to take me to collections over 25 pounds I allegedly owe them.

Have been a home insurance customer for four years. Received my renewal today and the premium has increased by 122%!! Not only that, I waited over 40 minutes for my call to the "support" centre to be answered - this is scandalous. So unprofessional and very disrespectful to customers. When I finally managed to speak to an adviser, the best she could offer me was a reduction of £40 - so that my premium would increase by a mere 109%. Big deal. Extremely disappointed and will not be renewing.

Waiting time to speak to an advisor regarding car insurance policy is over half an hour, currently 34 minutes, going to give up and not renew if this is the standard of service. Shame on you SAGA

What went wrong| was your question. Simple! call centre obviously is understaffed. Have rung now 4 times in last week to sort something and been advised customer wait times in excess of 15 minutes. Waited over 20 minutes 3 times with no response. Currently still not answered after 35 minutes. I have given up. Even the inland revenue wait time is less. Hopeless

Avoid at all costs for home insurance…..the worst customer service experience I’ve ever experienced. 8 months on from a water damage claim my elderly parents are still living in temporary accommodation due to the appalling claims service provided by Saga Insurance, their loss adjuster Davies and the contractors they use. Work still hasn’t started on getting the house back habitable, my best guess is it will be a year after the loss before they can move back in. Disgusting way to treat vulnerable elderly customers, I actually work in insurance and what I’m experiencing makes me ashamed of my industry. Insure with someone else.

BEWARE...IF YOU HAVE BUILDINGS INSURANCE WITH SAGA! Have been with them over 4 years..and always satisfied to be fair. When I received my renewal quote however..even though we had NOT made a claim..they were demanding a 280% inrease this time! I tried to contact them by phone...and having waited 28 minutes listening to "muzac" gave up! Went on Compare the Market and got improved cover from a reputable provider for only 70% increase..roughly 40% of their quoted price! Clearly a rip off!
