Charges for changing insurance to a crutitsy car charges high. Not helpful on phone with garage we wanted to fix car .as result we paid for do ing car ourselves.

I used to insure with SAGA some years ago, but found the cost of the policy kept going up every year despite making no claims so I shopped around and went to Direct Line and saved over £100 at the time. Have been with Direct Line for a few years and same thing began to happen policy kept increasing in price. Surprise, surprise came back to SAGA and saved quite a bit on the policy! Wouldn't it be nice if insurance companies stopped exploiting loyal customers by inflating annual premiums, but instead thought about rewarding loyalty. No problems with the policy, but the proof of the pudding would if you have to make a claim. Nice that it included European Cover as this is sometimes is an additional charge.

Unfortunately could only give 1-star as there is no provision for ZERO! The most stressful time of my life dealing with a claim through these useless people, SAGA has made a SAGA of our lives throughout this claim, 2- years plus since our claim for storm damage that wrecked our home and we are still dealing with the total fiasco that Saga and their nominated insurer and claims management co- Direct Group has created, it is now lodged with the Ombudsman but still they keep sending me 'surprise' insurance invitations with a made up defaqto or should it be DEFECTO rating!! Would not recommend Saga to anyone, the worst experience in my life, they should be brought to book for miss selling, avoid at all costs.

A wonderful tour of Chile, Argentina and Brazil, which ticked all the boxes. Congratulations to tour guide Zeca Cordero whose knowledge, sense of humour, attention to detail and excellent English helped to ensure the success of this well thought out trip. Thanks too to the enthusiastic local guides and drivers.

Easy to deal with and quite efficient, the premium was as good as any of the other quotes that I received and therefore I've re- insured with them.

SAGA just don't care about 92 year old lady whose flooded bungalow is uninhabitable. NO HELP whatsoever. Do not use them

Useless company who do NOTHING to assist customers who have experienced a home emergency. 10 weeks down the line they still haven't written to my Mother who is 92 and unable to live in her bungalow due to a flood. By now the problem should have been sorted - cannot imagine what would have happened if she had not been able to stay with a relative. This is not how you expect a company to act when they say they give a 5 STAR service. Disgusting. Am going to contact Watchdog, insurance e ombudsman etc

My elderly parents needed to make a claim when one of them taken ill with a declared pre existing condition. Had to sign a disclaimer for the circa £30,000 bill before they would release patient from hospital, and even though patient had sustained injuries from nursing staff. It took many weeks of stress for the matter to be resolved and needed myself and my sister to take the pressure off my parents who couldn’t have managed handling the claim themselves. They are hard of hearing and Saga tried to explain disclaimer via a phone call to the hospital in Spain from the UK. Never would I recommend Saga travel insurance.

Not the very cheapest on motor insurance,but on comparison with other policies, offered competitive terms and cover.so I renewed for a further year. However,the renewal deal was done on the phone the day before the renewal,but having paid £276 for a Lexus 250 SE-L, I had letters from SAGA yesterday saying renew at £249 ,which I am questioning. It may be the application of £25 for Admin,which I disagree with. If you buy a policy you do not expect the insurance company to charge you a fee for the paperwork ? Most deals these days are on-line,so no printing of paper for the insurer,only for the client should copies be needed,UNLESS YOU INSIST on paper copies by post. Even then it seems like a premium has been added,a bit like the 20% automatically on USA restaurant bills to pay for the staff!!!! They wanted to sell other stuff,home insurance,cruises etc and issue e-mails on their other products,so they can keep the sales curve intact over time. Of course you can refuse this. Overall I have no massive negatives(£25 admin fee aside), like all commercial business's they want to sell you more,you just have to be ready to say no,should you wish to. So far the e-mail paper response has been quick.

Joined Saga - within a year I needed to be hospitalised SAGA did not lay out - there was no pre existing condition but they were rude, unhelpful and used the small print - service dire, have since changed insurance providers - would not recommend!!!

Not always my choice, as not always the best value, but always in top four and often the best. Their call centre seems better informed than most and more willing to help.
