“I bought a £10 voucher at Sainsbury’s and when I tried to redeem it on Skype it turned out to be out of date. When I went to the customer service they refused to change the voucher or give me a refund because the transaction was successful. They said I should contact Skype. Skype confirmed that the voucher had expired and sent me the confirmation and the expiry date.
I went back to the customer service, spoke to the manager, and they gave me another voucher ‘as a gift’ as they said. I had the same problem with it.
I phoned the central office and all they said was because the transaction was successful they couldn’t refund the money. I asked them, if you buy faulty goods can you not return them because the transaction was successful? I couldn’t get any sense from them.
I wrote a letter to the complaint department with copies of the receipt and emails from Skype and sent it by special delivery 6 weeks ago. I got no response.
I don’t expect to get my money back and I wasted so much time! At least I want to warn other people. This is the way they deal with customers.
What a shame on Sainsbury’s!!!”
“Glasgow home delivery now i hour more than the slot we had chosen and no sign of any driver yet. One call from the store an hour ago to say that they would be a few minutes late. Half an hour later a call from me to customer service said they would be an hour late. Looks like too few drivers for a busy night but in evening delivery slots its important toget it right for families.”
“I was looking for a particular item in the store, I asked a member of staff where a particular item was, and although it was not his department he found out which isle it was on and took me to it.”
