“I visit the Bromley store regularly on a Friday early evening and so far every time there are very low stocked shelves, the bananas especially are always in a unedible state, vegetables are dreadful and some fruits mainly berries are nowhere to be found. In your infinite wisdom you change things around which makes it extremely difficult to find what you want and for my 94 year old mother extremely distressing. At the till she was sure that her bottle of milk was leaking as there was milk on the belt but instead of changing it the girl insisted that it was condensation or another one on the shelf that had been leaking on hers. When she got home the milk had leaked all over her stuff and a puddle of milk at the bottom of the bag. I am appalled at the state of this shop and although I have complained to the manager before nothing seems to change.”
“The quality of fruits and vegetables are very bad e.g. Tomatoes that still look fresh while they're over a month out of date and I felt a scent of chemicals from pineapple that escaped in few secs...why so much chemicals? Vegetables should be healthy !”
“Discriminated against because I was disabled by a member of staff. When I asked to speak to a manager he agreed with my point, went to speak with the co-worker, then came back and seemed to have switched sides of the fence. I was outraged, and offered a free cup of coffee as an apology for what I experienced. I'll never be shopping, eating, or even browsing there again. They claimed that because I was disabled I had to show ID to collect my click and collect order, even though the order only contained food items and no age restricted items. I had taken my payment card only as proof of identity, as I can't drive due my disability so have no licence and am not allowed to travel so have no passport. When I checked their terms and conditions when I got home, I was right, and a payment card should have been sufficient. Doesn't matter who you speak to at the company, they just back up each others lies. I don't like dishonesty, and this company stinks of it. Avoid shopping here like the plague, possibly one of the worst experiences of my life.”
“I shop in Chiswick High Road for years and only one manger was very friendly helpful and also smiling I found that the staff are quite rude and mangers this lady has now left to manger hayes which I am very disappointed there's nothing on selfs for days its as if they cant be ask to work yet this lady that has been moved also working hard on shop floor I never see that in others in all the years I have shopped there please bring her back her name is jernata not sure if spelt right”
“Sainsburys/longbridge
The store is very clean and the sainsburys staff is nice but there was a woman in a blue exclusive top with also the sainsburys wrote on it she was rude staring at me and giving me dirty looks, I think it was because I mentioned there was no toilet roll in the toilet and it's not a very nice I felt very disturbed by this woman's actions, sainsburys is a nice place to shop but not a very nice place to go to the toilet when there is no toilet roll”
“DOUGHNUTS
what have you done with with the doughnuts... totally different and nowhere near as nice. As an office full of ladies who loved your doughnuts we will now have to go elsewhere!! Hopefully the Yum Yums have not been altered!!”
“Having all the family at the weekend, some staying overnight. Did an online shopping, everything delivered well within timeslot on a Friday. Excellent service from driver.
Can't find fault.”
“I went into the portswood sainsburys looking to buy cookies but ones that aren't too crumbly or crunchy and a nice lady helped me choose which ones would be the best soft chewy ones, and recommended triple chocolate ones. They were 10/10”
“ordered black De Longhi kettle and toaster on line, when delivered black kettle and WHITE toaster, husband in for delivery so he sent the WHITE toaster back and kept the kettle. I rang customer services when I arrived home and spoke to a very nice man who organised for the manager of the store to drop off toaster on his way home, as they had just had another delivery, the toaster was delivered within the hour , wonderful service. My only gripe is that when you order and pay for something on line it is still left on the shelves and any one could buy it ,then you get something else in its place, no the most efficient way for on line orders, I was lucky as there was a new delivery, but would not have been too happy if there was not.”
“Sainsbury online shopping, one word HORRIFIC!!! Beckton Branch who was delivering my order FAILED to deliver and yet they were adamant it had been delivered. Will NOT be using them ever again and would urge all to refrain from using them!!!!”
“I visit my local store regularly and find the staff on all departments extremely helpful. The other day i made a visit to the customer service desk to return an item, which to my dismay had lost it's tag! The lady explained the policy and i was refered to a very polite and friendly member of the clothing department called Chris. She then inturn spoke to her boss and gladly gave me a credit for the item,of which i was extremely grateful as i had also lost my receipt. The other members of staff on the desk included,Karen and Lynn whom were extremely helpful and friendly too. I would therefore like to say that as a customer are all so quick to complain, but even less likely to praise the ones who deserve it. So "thank you to you all" at The Galleries Washington branch for always making my day!”
“We held a garden party last Friday and decided to have a buffet.A friend of ours recommended your entertainment food.So we ordered from the brochure. We were so pleased. The food was superb. All our guessed commented on it.We will certainly be coming back”
“Just ordered from sainsburys for the first time, I don't really shop at sainsburys but I thought I would give them a go and change my normal supermarket shop. The delivery was prompt in in the time slot that I booked, I was well informed throughout the entire process through emails.
Once the delivery driver came he explained all the details to me about substitutions, delivery times and how the who,e process works. All items accounted for and in perfect order.
Very impressed with sainsburys and the service I've just received and will be shopping with sainsburys again.”
“Placed my first online order yesterday at 22.45 and requested delivery between 3 and 4 this afternoon. Arrived at 3 and the driver brought it up to the first floor. On seeing I was using crutches he kindly unpacked the bags sorting them into chilled/frozen and the rest. I was really pleased with the service and delivery. One slight hiccup when choosing substitution options as couldn't go directly back to checkout but apart from that all good”
“We purchased a Blaupunkt TV which is now 15 months old, did not buy extended warranty as most TVs seem to be quite reliable. Not in this case, the sound has failed but the picture is good.
Blaupunkt did not want to know about it at all - not even if we paid for repair !!!
Sainsburys asked us to take the TV to an independent engineer and pay for a report and then they might consider some sort of support - but the cost quoted was £50 plus delivery and collection - most TV engineers are also TV shops and suppliers, when you tell them it was purchased at a superstore like Sainsburys then you are paying the price of no valued service back up !!
The TV cost £125, cheap you could say, but no, very expensive for 15 months viewing !!!
I had e-mail contact with Sainsburys customer service ( I question the SERVICE element ) about six times with absolutely no result ( in fact it was suggested that the fault of no sound could be down to 'fair wear and tear'
No progress has been made at all in fact I offered the thing back to them for nothing, I am just amazed that we spend approx £4800 per year on shopping and fuel - and for such a small service jesture they are happy to put that at risk,
