SAMi® is a video-based sleep activity monitor for parents, caregivers and individuals that need to watch carefully for unusual movements at night. SAMi can detect and alarm on all types of movement, with settings that can be easily customized to your individual needs. During sleep, the SAMi camera's proprietary technology monitors for unusual or abnormal movement in the field of view. When abnormal movement is detected, an alarm sounds on the Apple device running the SAMi iOS app (iPhone / iPod / iPad / Mac) and displays a live video / audio feed. Within seconds, the individual or caregiver can take any necessary action. “Sami has been a game changer for us. Night times were always a very anxious time, being worried to miss anything. Sami gives us the comfort that if something were to happen we would know about it and deal with it. You can set the sensitivity and time which I think is brilliant as it means it doesn’t go off constantly throughout the night for no reason. It’s easy to use and easy to set up. I would recommend this product every single time!”

“I am very impressed with the SAMi camera- it gives us peace of mind and has allowed my 11 year old son to sleep in his own room again. I like how I can customise the sensitivity to movement- it means we can pick up on both partial and generalised seizures and the alarm hasn't let us down. The function to keep videos to send to his consultant has also been fantastic. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking after someone with epilepsy.”

“We acquired the SAMi3 system for our autistic & epileptic child in March 2023. The software for replaying the recorded videos (as part of the SAMi3 software package) is not stable, and hangs up periodically, requiring a reboot of the system. This continues happening even after updating the software per the advice of the SAMi3 team. Since it is a very expensive investment, we are reluctant to dump it, and continue suffering through the hiccups it keeps having.”

“Sami has given me a peace of mind whether I am sleeping or doing errands around the house, I know Sami will alert me if my son has seizures of muscle spasms. I love the record function so I can send videos to his neurologist if I have questions. You can also set it to how sensitive you want Sami to be, how much movements you want it to detect and what level of sound you would want your onto alert you.”

“I love this camera! My son has a genetic disorder called Dravet syndrome and it has given me peace of mind. I sleep next to him so I do catch the seizure before the camera but if I didn’t I do believe the camera would pick it up. I love all the features! Especially the fact that it saves the video incase I need to show it to my son’s neurologist.”

“Sami has been a life saver for my daughter and I. She was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 2 and there was not any device that fit her needs. She is now 11. I get the notifications of movement through the night. I can send the video to her neurologist and add the video to her seizure app to keep track of seizure days. I can view her camera away from home to check on her at night. This is our last stop. I wouldn’t even consider another device! Thank you so much for coming up with this idea!”

“The SAMi camera has been a great resource that I have been using with my family because it helps keep me at ease when my son has seizures at night. I can capture all his activities even during the day if he takes naps. It gives us a broader picture of what type of seizures he is having when someone is not near him. This monitoring has also helped his neurologist see what I see at home. I truly love it and am very happy I was introduced to this device. It has played a big role in our lives and I can have some peace of mind that when that sensor alarm rings, I jump out real quick to see how my son is doing and if he is okay. I have some ease during the nights and a positive change in our quality of life.”
