stay away, agents dont communicate fine print, And on some policies, they refuse to do payouts. Better use a banking system to save

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from Sanlam Insurance regarding a funeral policy I took out for my late uncle. After his passing—while the policy was still in its trial period—I immediately informed the agent who had assisted me. He assured me that the policy would be cancelled and that no further deductions would be made from my account. Despite this assurance, Sanlam has continued to deduct money from my account for two months. This is not only unethical but emotionally distressing, considering the circumstances. I trusted the information given to me by your representative, and now I feel misled and financially exploited. I have tried to resolve this issue, but there has been no refund or confirmation of cancellation. I urge Sanlam to take accountability, refund the deducted amounts, and ensure that no further charges are made.

The quality of service provided by Sanlam, particularly in their responsiveness and communication with clients. Lack of accountability and follow-through, where queries are met with vague responses or no feedback at all, even after multiple follow-ups via email, Unprofessional conduct from support staff. This pattern of poor communication and service delivery is deeply concerning, especially for a financial institution entrusted with managing long-term investments and life policies. It undermines client confidence and raises serious questions about operational effectiveness and client-centricity. I urge Sanlam to take immediate steps to improve their service standards, enhance transparency, and prioritize client engagement to restore trust and uphold their reputation in the industry.

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Sanlam: Reference No. 6724173 I am deeply frustrated and disappointed with the appalling level of customer service I have received from Sanlam. Despite notifying them well in advance about my pension payout request, it has now been over a month, and I am still waiting for the funds to be disbursed. Throughout this time, I have been met with repeated delays, broken promises, and an alarming lack of accountability. Each interaction with Sanlam has only added to my frustration, as the company continues to offer excuses instead of concrete solutions. This is not only unprofessional but completely unacceptable for an institution entrusted with people's financial futures. The poor communication and lack of urgency demonstrate a complete disregard for clients' needs. I expected far better from a company of Sanlam’s stature, but this experience has been nothing short of disgusting and disheartening. I sincerely hope this matter is addressed with the seriousness it deserves, not just for my sake, but for the many others who may be facing similar issues in silence.

I’m an overseas resident who is well past retirement but I’ve had endless problems getting a payout. It’s taken many years & now I’m having to deal with SARS. I thought I followed the redemption process diligently but there was no one available to attend to the last 1% attention

I had a bereavement of family member but Sanlam fail me with this i contribute with my own money but im having a policy which didnt payout on time and have been referred for assessment you know during grief i must still answer your calls and give answers about family member Sanlam made me feel like i was submitting a false claim hence all documents is with them and its natural cause i felt very humiliated regarding this and i took a decision to move all my policies from sanlam because that is not how you treat people when you in need of them.

Why the hell do I need to submit a claim at their offices and follow up with a call? Pay my claim and I cancel. I am claiming for the first time in 9 years and I have to suffer like this?

With my tech background, I could tell right away that they were using a methodical, data-driven strategy to track and recover my assets. They utilized digital forensics, IP tracking, and third-party platforms to follow the trail of my crypto transactions. No fluff, just straightforward, structured communication with visible results. The experience felt like working alongside an expert cyber unit rather than a typical customer service department. If you’re someone who values process and accountability, I highly recommend their team.
