the only reason this is a 1 star is because I can’t give 0 star review. This has become the worst bank ever. if you are thinking of joining DONT. this review is not for the physical branch in Bloomfield. it’s for overall service. today my Card was declined because apparently my new card with a new expiration date, which I have not received yet have is now in their system. so I can no longer use my card that I have that has not expired yet. the customer service representative that I spoke to even said it was not right. when I spoke to a very useless, not helpful at all, arrogant manager named MIKE, his response was “nothing can be done”. save yourself the aggravation and find yourself another bank, which is what I’m doing. also, this is not the first negative issue I’ve had with them, but definitely the last. WORST MANAGER IVE DEALT WITH!!!

New App is so unreliable. Experiencing problems logging in on both my wife’s phone & mine. Have tried uninstalling & reinstalling numerous times, but still having problems. “Oops something went wrong “ message is beginning to annoy me.

If zero stars was an option than I would've selected immediately. Staff are the most useless collective of paid professional that I have had to deal with in a long long time. They are more interested in finding clever excuses as to why they 'can't' help you than actually doing what they are paid to do. They won't be seeing my custom ever again & all thanks especially to the staff in the Church Street, Enfield Town branch.

transferências internacionais em dias de câmbio alto pra liberar apenas quando o câmbio cai, toda vez que vou à agência ou ligo no atendimento, o atendente por algum motivo não pode ajudar, além de muitas outras coisas. Fico pasmo com quão descaradamente roubam e ferram seu próprio cliente. Espero que qualquer pessoa considerando ter conta com o Santander repense e vai para qualquer outro banco.

Tried to open a saving account with them. Given I already have another account with them I assumed this would be easy enough - but no. They wanted all of my ID paperwork sent to them again. Tried calling to get a better understanding of why this was needed again and after 45mins of being on hold got cut off. Absolutely terrible customer service from an absolutely terrible company - am taking my business elsewhere.

This new banking app is so slow if can get on it doesn’t respond sometimes at all .Bring back the old app seriously thinking of leaving Santander through this

The new app is dreadful, why do you have to keep messing about with things when they worked perfectly fine…. I am 76 hrs old and find this so complicated… I’ve ended up with a cat as a wallpaper and don’t know how to change it… the wallpaper picture is far too dark… I find it difficult to see the figures on an insipid background and when I have tried to change things I just do not understand what to do…. Also you referred to biometrics ( not a clue)… I’ve had to come out and investigate what that means… This is utterly ridiculous, not everyone is tech savvy… I have no idea how to check my statements which were so straightforward before…. It’s a case of press this, go into that….. So disappointed with what you have done

Awful app. Discrimination if you do not have photo ID! Now having to wait for some paperwork to be sent from them. Mobile app worked perfectly ok until new app. Santander are awful. Doesn’t help that I live in a town with no banks or cash points!

Not liking this new app AT ALL! Too many colours - stick to red and black. Too many fonts - so hard to read. Too distracting because of all the above. Can’t do anything without having to really pore over the little pictures and wondering what the heck they are! Why do we need pictures of what our cards look like on thr home page - these should be a separate tab. Too. Distracting! Can’t find anything quickly. Problems trying to pay credit card - input numbers and then it just disappears. Had to verify a payment on my mobile app and because a phone call came in I mid payment I couldn’t find where to verify easily. Thought it would pop up as a MAJOR tab on home page but nowhere to be seen! Old app was so much better! If it ain’t broke - don’t fix it. Same as when they started introducing videos to the cash machines!!!videos?? It’s a bank not You Tube. Seriously thinking of moving banks now on the basis of this totally frustrating app. Sort it out Santander please 🙏 Like other reviewers, am loathe to even give 1 star!!

A month later I tried again to make an overpayment on my mortgage. Since the app was 'upgraded' it can't be done, the app won't let me type letters in, only numbers. So I can't enter my post code & complete the transaction. Why are Santander not fixing this? I walked into town to visit the branch - and it was closed for refurbishment. Why not forget the redecorating and hire some competent IT staff instead ?!!

Zero compassion for mortgage holders My mother is the sole carer for my elderly grandmother who has significant care needs. She has been struggling with repayments. Santander offered my mother no assistance such as a repayment holiday. Whilst she was abroad tending to another family emergency, they repossessed the house, she had no notice of the court proceedings. She paid what was outstanding and now they are asking for all of the monies owed. A horrible bank with no compassion, beware if you are ever on your face they will not help you.

New Santander app takes ages to load and often doesn’t. What was wrong with previous app? Don’t like this new app one bit.

I deposited some money today using the atm . the money took my money . then came up with a message saying hardware problem and kept the money i called. the assistant over . she took my name and customer number and phone number and said the money should be in my account later . it been 12 hours so far still nothing. .

I recently paid off my car and was waiting for them to issue me the title. However, I noticed the delay for about 6 months and had to call them to find out where it was. I recently was told that they sent to the wrong address and was denied. They have to issue me another title send which will take about 7-10 business to get it. This is by far the worst banking system ever.

Unfortunately a big fraud, after more than 18 months I still haven't received any compensation from the bank. I had my account blocked and yet this bank allowed €1000 to be debited from an internet company. To date, I have not received another apology or compensation. Never again!

Everytime I try to set up new payee on my company business online banking gets blocked How on earth can we grow and have more staff Now I have to come back from holiday. Santander is the worst bank in the world. You simply cannot pay new staff and enjoy your yearly holiday

What a bad experience. I have shares in the bank with accrued dividends due to a change of address. I have given written instructions as to what they should do. Apart from acknowledging my request, they have done nothing. My inquiries are met with feeble apologies or promises to chase things up. I want my money but it's like pulling teeth. Are these people crooks or just disorganised?
