I ordered a fleece which arrived promptly. The garment is nicely designed and practical. However, the range of colours was virtually non-existent: the only one in stock was navy and as I wanted to buy the fleece as a Christmas present and as there was no indication of when fresh stock might be available, I compromised by ordering the navy. When it arrived I thought the quality of the material was ordinary for something priced so highly. Overall a slightly disappointing experience!

Not Happy!!! DOESN'T MATCH PREVIOUS PURCHASES. TOO TIGHT, SLEEVES TOO LONG, BODY TOO LONG, NO LINING. Wife is a standard 14, your item isn't!!!!!!

Size was wrong and it cost me £8.50 to return it plus the postage of the new item. Wouldn't order from the company again.

Our returns policy states that returns will be at the customers own cost, unless of course it was our fault in some way with delivery and we will organize a free return or refund the customers postage. I've been buying the men's range for many years as gifts for the men in my family so I thought I'd buy a Burley fleece for myself. I was disappointed both in the fit and the quality. I bought a size 16 because I I wanted to be able to wear a sweater underneath if i needed to. However, because the fleece was very shaped it was very tight at the waist and hips and HUGE on the shoulders. I would have changed it for a size smaller but they were all out of stock. I was somewhat disappointed with the texture of the fabric as it wasn't as soft and comfortable as the men's range.

The lack of a two way zip at this price is not impressive. The colour bought was significantly different from the Lincoln Green illustrated. (Photo colours are tricky, but this was too different). Wrong Colour sent on a Men's Gilet: Lincoln Green was ordered - bottle green arrived. Did not return to Schoffel, as would have had to pay for registered post to do so, so would have been £5 or so out of pocket. So just kept the wrong colour. Otherwise fine.

Or please send me images of the gilet so we can identify the colour you have been sent. Fast and quick service (five stars), pity it was the wrong breeks you sent! As it is I quite liked them, so will hold onto them (Ptarmigan checked ones sent instead of plain dark olive), but it could have been better!

Slow response to email enquiry. Returns postage cost to be paid by customer. For such a high quality clothing company these are disappointing, I would have expected better customer service to be honest.

I can assure you that we do aim to respond to all email enquiries as quick as we can, due to the Christmas period we are busier than usual and can take longer than usual. For this I apologize. Returns are currently to be paid by the customer, however we do offer free delivery over £150, and do not charge to resend out an exchange. A top quality garment but unfortunately the sizing is way out. I bought the Islington Gilet size 20 but measures nearer a size 16 so will have to return to Schoffel.

I bought this new style fleece gilet because it has sensible pockets which could hold (for instance) cartridges. It is far superior to the old slanting zip pockets on previous products. What a shame Schoffel can't run to a "2 way" zip. Much more comfortable sitting down/driving etc. Also seems that the cost accountant has been about as the normal leather edge finishing has gone.

The delivery was good,as were the goods,well parceled and good quality as always. However I decided to return and exchange the item delivered for an alternative colour as it was darker than it appeared on the web site and I was very disappointed to discover I had to pay £8.45 postage on the package to return it by recorded post as your instructions on the returns policy had recommended. After paying £173 it does not seem at all good customer service and I would hesitate in future to use your online service
