“The unit died at Arlington Cemetery. A call was made to appraise of situation. I was told no one was available to help until 5 PM. Cemetery closed at 4. I was allowed to use a room to try and charge to get back to hotel. It was scary taking train back not knowing if I could get there. I was promised a 200.00 rebate on cost of rental which never was done. A replacement battery came overnight, but my son pushed me 7 miles around the square so I didn’t lose an afternoon of my trip.”
“The equipment was less than ideal. It pulled to the right, was scratched, covered with half removed decals and had a front wheel that was damaged. We used Scoot Around last July and had a great experience.”

The scooter I rented was for heavy person and worked good until it stopped working one day in port. My wife and I had to push it manually back to ship. It was not a dead battery it just would not go. Ships crew said it was a key problem. The ship replacement was for lighter persons. It worked but I was not as comfortable.”
“There was some initial disappointment......in that the promised, "The scooter will be in your stateroom upon your arrival" turned into an inquiry with the Ship's Director of Customer Service to locate and deliver the scooter. In fairness the unit was delivered and was in use before we left port and also in fairness it would seem that the Cruise personell were responsible for delivery to our stateroom and had simply not had time. That said, the scooter worked very well and made a huge difference to my partner's enjoyment of the holiday and allowed us to enjoy some onshore excursions that otherwise would have been impossible. I will also add that before I contacted Scooteround I had exhausted every enquiry with local disability equipment vendors that were no help at all ! A 10 minute call to Scootaround had our needs catered with no fuss, problem or confusion. Thank you Scooteround, I recommend your service to anybody in need of mobility equipment on short notice and short or long term rental.”
“The battery charger did not work, only had the use of scooter for 2 days on cruise. It ruined the cruise for my wife, since we had to stay on the boat and couldn't get around. Had to call several times to get partial credit....NOT HAPPY!!”
