Very , very bad costumer service, the smart meter is total rubbish. They took my money but I had to stay without gas because their sistem doesn’t work and didn’t process the money so on my money I stayed in the cold. After I called them , they said is my fault because I topped in the weekend!!! With other words I have to make a booking to top up my gas !!! Not to mention that the lady Ema was her name was extremely rude and didn’t answer my questions or pass me to the manager!! This is really unacceptable!! Is third time that this happened since I had the smart meter!! Very poor service!!

DO NOT USE SCOTTISH POWER. Absolutely horrific do not even deserve one star. Charging so much for our electricity and gas (we are now moving supplier and will be saving over £400 a year). The WORST customer service I have ever experienced - There is apparently a problem switching our electricity over to the new supplier - they said we have not paid our last bill (which we paid a week ago....). And its impossible to sort out as every time you call them you get hung up on as they are "too busy" to answer your call. Sometimes you do get put on hold (for example just now i was on hold for 32 minutes) being told every minute "your call will be answered shortly" only to then be told "sorry we are all busy - goodbye!" and hung up on - there is simply no way to get in touch with them .

Terrible, they lie, they will falsely charge you, their prices are too high.... and they will change their terms without telling you! Don’t put yourself in agony by going with them, AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE! They should be fined severely for their unscrupulous and exploiting behaviour.

Tryed to get a gas meter changed, spoke with someone who said they could not book it so would send me a letter with a date (Which never got sent after I chased) managed to book an appointment with someone that did not seem to know what they were doing, so I called back the next day to confirm the date (Which had suddenly changed date). Now that I had no confidence, I have called back an additional 3 occasions to check the status, first call the appointment date changed date, second hung up on me, third told me it had been cancelled, luckily my last call was the day before the appointment so at least I did not waste a day off work. Booked the change with the national grid instead. I would strongly recommend not using them, especially if you need to contact them. I don't normally complain, but I have purposefully created an account on here just to let people know how bad they really are.

I have had a broken meter since May 2019 it is now December and still not fixed, they have made quite a few appointments to change meter but they have been cancelled by Lowry Becks or Scottish power, and when engineer came he said I can't do that job, so now I have had to get ombudsmen involved to see if they can help sort this out. I also think they are very expensive .

The worst company ever increase the bill by£70 without notice when trying to talk to complaints department get told not in this Saturday as its the festive season.Customer service adviser rude and aggressive cannot wait until August to leave although i am sure they will make that as difficult as possible

THE BIGGEST MISTAKE IVE MADE IN A LONG TIME !!! IF YOUR THINKING OF MOVING TO SCOTTISH POWER DONT BE FOOLED BY THEM LIKE I HAVE... IVE HAD NOTHING BUT PURE HARASSMENT BOMBARDED WITH CALLS TEXT LETTERS ASKING ME TO READ METERS FOR THEM AND IM DISABLED THEY WRECKED MY HOLIDAY THEYVE STRESSED ME OUT ALSO LIED TO ME .....

Do not go anywhere near this company who are worst for cutomer service and good at demanding payment. I opted for a dual fuel tariff but am waiting for it to be setup since 20 Sept 19. Customer service agents promise to fix the issue every time (more 8 times) I call but nothing happens. I decided to complain and asked for a reference number at the end of the call and the sharp Customer service agent gave me a fictitious (invalid) no. so that I could not use their complaints system that is uneccessarily complicated to put people off complaining. I strongly recommend that every one stays off SP to avoid undue stress.

DON'T GO WITH SCOTTISH POWER!!! My partner and I have been submitting meter readings for the past year. For about 6 months now our account goes from in credit over £200 to in debt over £900. Supposedly there has been a glitch in the system for over a year. They are trying to tell me that for over a YEAR they have been unable to input our readings that we have given over the phone AND via email because of said glitch which has led to over £900 in debt they're trying to force out of us! Ridiculous, their only offer is £25 credit. Absolutely unprofessional behaviour and I will be seeking legal counsel as well as contacting the media. Stay far away!!!!!!

They are horrendous I had a faulty electric meter was told they would be out in 4 hours electric went off af 7pm and the engineer did not turn up rang at 8am when they opened and was told them did not submit the request to the engineer And would be another 4 hours and did not turn up then either. They dont care I have 3 small children how can they treat people like this .

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I have never dealt with a worse utility provider in my life. We moved in a new property that already had Scottish Power in May. It took 3 months to set up my account and hours spent on the phone and on the chat help. No one wanted to take responsibility, they kept on telling me the issue is with the Specialists team and no one from that team was giving me updates. After multiple very frustrating interactions, I managed to get the gas account set up in Sept. At that time, they told me there is a technical issue with the electricity part of the account and that again it was with the Specialist team. It is now almost December and that issue has not been resolved. I cannot pay my electricity bill and the amount keeps piling up. Direct debit doesn't work either. This is really the worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you move in a property with Scottish Power, it's worthwhile investing the time to move to another supplier

Very unhappy with Scottish Power. I am on a variable rate plan at t try he moment following a 12 month fixed term. The price increase from a £94 direct debit to £148, but the other day this was increased to £198. I found this unacceptable so asked for a reason which I did not get, but was fobbed off with the operative trying to sell me a fixed plan. I asked for an explanation of the increase which was not forthcoming so I have now switched to a fix with British Gas paying a direct debit of £104 with a high saving over Scottish Power. So thanks for the lack of service which motivated me to switch.

I have had previous problems with Scottish power, they were getting mixed up between my account and another account which was in debt. I have just moved house and ends up new house is with Scottish Power and have to pay them the period of time until my switch went through, asked them to send me an invoice so can pay at pay point they refused, was on the line with them for 30 mins and lady said the only way to pay is over the phone or online, went on their website and banking details was listed, they were just making things difficult for me. Customer service are a nightmare they have no idea what they are doing.

Without a doubt the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They are incapable of getting anything right! They even struggle with the basics, like posting out a gas card so I can actually put credit on my pre payment meter. Useless company

Boiler Care.. Boiler cover with Scottish Power...annual service ok at first good thorough service but since last 2 years consistent issues with boiler. After several visits from subcontractors still not fixed the problem. Had almost every part on the boiler replaced but still same issue. Heating comes on and then goes off and stays off. Got a young disabled son too who needs to be kept ward. Informed that until the boiler completely breaks down nothing can be done!! Excellent customer service that is!!! Fuming cold house and cold kids!!

Tried to get my meter fixed since September. It’s now November, called innumerable times, without any luck. Just today I received an email from them saying they can’t see any top ups for my electricity!!! Wonder how!! I have no words to describe my frustration!

I've been waiting over 1 year for smart… I've been waiting over 1 year for smart meters. I've created several complaints and been told lie after lie. Almost got to the end and twice had my instalment appointment cancelled. Now being told I have to wait another 2 months before they even call me to make an appointment. Ridiculous company. Please, please, please, stay away. THEY DONT CARE ABOUT YOU.
