Total sham rip off by a disgusting company on every level... outdated systems that do not work... months of constant problems and weeks of my life wasted complaining that made no difference. I inherited the account from an old tenent who researched the worst company to switch to on purpose with the highest standing charges in the uk, before they were sectioned and removed by force from my flat.

Here is Scottish power with its pretensions and unassumed failures, they think themselves so indispensable to the whole of Scotland, therefore their level of services is poor and this company has a degree of dishonesty that can easily be questioned. They overcharge as well refuse to answer call on the phone and let me tell you that 22 and 23 are old fashioned lucky numbers get on your 39 rather. A company to shun as it s staff is in danger of being dealt with for their incompetence, that they like it or not! On time, I would advice current customers to look to other gas and electric companies they may be surprised at the difference of services!

The worst company I have dealt with by a country mile! Had new gas supply run into our property as our old oil boiler was uneconomical to repair. Scottish power arranged to install the gas meter on 23rd December.... no one turned up then again 13 January... no one turned up then again 20th January.... no one turned up. Had to rearrange heating engineers 3 times now and STILL NO GAS METER!!! The ombudsman are now involved and still awaiting the response from Scottish power.... absolutely shocking. We have 2 young children and have had no heating for over 4 months in total now. I now just do not know what to do :-(

Everything went wrong! 7 months on - still ongoing complaint and still not sorted out a tariff or bill. Avoid this supplier at all costs.

I joined you two months ago, sent in readings as required, quoted £28.10 per month which I've paid upfront for 2 months. I gave readings this morning, you claim my consumption has doubled and I now owe £40 next calendar month. This cannot be accurate as i have used no more than usual gas /electric

They have not only been charging me twice as much as EDF even though the lying soil told me i will save at least a 25% of what I spend on EDF. Twice they hung up the phone on me. Now I have to wait till I get a payment card before I can buy gas unless I want to get in debt. Disgusting they are a horrible company and just out to exploit the vulnerable. You get a -5 out of five from me. Diabolical behaviour towards costumers.

Applied for warm front discount in Nov 19.still waiting as of today.just phoned them,they say it take to end of march.spoke to dwp and they say end of Jan by law.cant get no joy of Scottish power.call handlers are very rude.sha

If it was possible to give no stars then I would. Customer service is awful they don’t seem to care. There callback system is terrible and when you hold you seem to be on hold for a minimum of an hour. That’s presumably because all their customers are complaining. They can’t organise a moving in date, a bill they are hopeless. Even if they provided the cheapest rates for gas and electric no chance would I use them.

BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! I wish we had the option to put no stars. VERY unprofessional service!!! I have 3 formal complaints already ongoing and three supposed "live chat". None of my concerns are being answered and they keep changing my direct debit amount based on what they feel like. Losing so much money with them!! DON'T!!

Awful customer service!! I have now called 12 times it in 3 weeks and still my situation is not sorted, I have been waiting 45min to 55min most calls to be told we will call you back & times I have been put on hold again & then cut, this by far has been my worse experience with a company, I will never recommend this company to anyone. When the staff dont know how to help me they just put me on hold & then I get cut off, i am so frustrated right now, this service has stressed me out so much, my problem is still not sorted, I will now be recording my next phone call and putting this on social networks just so no one esle goes through what I am going through

My working daughter with a 14 month old child has been involved for months with this company after asking for her power supply to be moved to a new meter and outside box in order for the house to be re-wired. They seem unable to make a date for it to happen, contradict one another, lie and seem unable to make their service work for themselves let alone customers. On one occasion, after saying that an 'emergency' appointments had been made, kept her waiting on the phone for 90 mins for confirmation and my daughter was then told the operative had gone home! She now has about 15 complaints waiting to be resolved and my guess is that when the meter box connection is done and power is restored, they will ask if the complaints have therefore been resolved - make me laugh. This is not the end of it: She paid for a service and needs to get what she paid for without all the games and deceit - ombudsman and MP are next on the list. She should not have to pay so much for such a shoddy service. This is the sort of thing that happens when you un-privatise a public service. I also think there are grounds to cancel the contract with no penalty.

First of all they shouldn't even get 1 star ! They don't answer their phones just kept on an ongoing loop of we will answer your call shortly numerous times for longer than 45 minutes each time. They don't send emails you have requested, they don't call you back even though they have booked it in with you. Bills are incorrect and then seem to never get fixed. Also giving information to people who are no longer on the account pretty sure that is illegal and has something to do with data protection. They are utterly useless I would suggest no one uses them thier customer service is shocking. The worst company I have ever used and will NEVER use them again......that's if I can ever get a hold of them to cancel my account.

Despite them being aware that they opened up three accounts in my name at different addresses they still try and get the victim of the fraud to pay the debt. They never phone back and give open ended responses. They are not bothered even with it being reported to the police, NFRC & OFGEM - they have been provided with their reference numbers. Patronising, condescending, unwilling to help company. Don't hold you breath on a call back - it will never happen.

I give nil stars. Exceptional trouble switching from them. Had a year of misery. Still ongoing after leaving. Sent me a cheque for my refund & then stopped the cheque. A previous cheque cut short by £20. Always phoning, getting nowhere even from Complaints dept. Always in tears. One department doesn't know what other departments are doing. Go with them & you will always have problems that will take toll on your health.

Very , very bad costumer service, the smart meter is total rubbish. They took my money but I had to stay without gas because their sistem doesn’t work and didn’t process the money so on my money I stayed in the cold. After I called them , they said is my fault because I topped in the weekend!!! With other words I have to make a booking to top up my gas !!! Not to mention that the lady Ema was her name was extremely rude and didn’t answer my questions or pass me to the manager!! This is really unacceptable!! Is third time that this happened since I had the smart meter!! Very poor service!!

DO NOT USE SCOTTISH POWER. Absolutely horrific do not even deserve one star. Charging so much for our electricity and gas (we are now moving supplier and will be saving over £400 a year). The WORST customer service I have ever experienced - There is apparently a problem switching our electricity over to the new supplier - they said we have not paid our last bill (which we paid a week ago....). And its impossible to sort out as every time you call them you get hung up on as they are "too busy" to answer your call. Sometimes you do get put on hold (for example just now i was on hold for 32 minutes) being told every minute "your call will be answered shortly" only to then be told "sorry we are all busy - goodbye!" and hung up on - there is simply no way to get in touch with them .

Terrible, they lie, they will falsely charge you, their prices are too high.... and they will change their terms without telling you! Don’t put yourself in agony by going with them, AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE! They should be fined severely for their unscrupulous and exploiting behaviour.

Tryed to get a gas meter changed, spoke with someone who said they could not book it so would send me a letter with a date (Which never got sent after I chased) managed to book an appointment with someone that did not seem to know what they were doing, so I called back the next day to confirm the date (Which had suddenly changed date). Now that I had no confidence, I have called back an additional 3 occasions to check the status, first call the appointment date changed date, second hung up on me, third told me it had been cancelled, luckily my last call was the day before the appointment so at least I did not waste a day off work. Booked the change with the national grid instead. I would strongly recommend not using them, especially if you need to contact them. I don't normally complain, but I have purposefully created an account on here just to let people know how bad they really are.
