Item ordered on January 8th. No email sent to confirm payment or delivery lead time. When I got In contact they then Stated as 7-9 weeks. At the end of this lead time informed the item would be delayed by 2 weeks. After a few days of emails the unavoidable delay was avoided. Set up delivery for 13th of March. Had to take a whole day off work. Got a phone call at 230 informing me the delivery would not be available. Punted from department to department. Lost a days worth of pay and now cannot take delivery on any other day but a Sunday for the next two weeks. ScS refuse to engage, other than to inform me that my concerns have been noted and remind me of thier delivery days. Emails now take at least a full day to be responded to. Questions are ignored other than to say "my concerns are duly noted". The only choice I have is to now cancel my order or wait for a further two weeks. Frankly the most unbelievably poor customer service I have ever received. Will update of anything actually changes.

We bought a whole furniture set in store spending a fair bit. At the point of sale we were pressured into buying the cleaning kit that comes with the furniture. We were told it comes from the manufacturer and is strongly recommended. After a heavy sales pitch we formed out £50. This was before Christmas. No professional cleaning/care kit came with the delivery so we waited a few weeks and then contacted scs. They said they would talk to the manufacturer for us. Another few weeks and we called again, same story. This Friday (15th March) we got a generic House of Fraser kit - sofas, furniture, and flooring. There is a 225ml bottle of degreaser, a 225ml bottle of surface cleaner, and some wipes inside. The upsell is an absolute con.

Bought carpets and underlay from there Livingston branch.After the carpets and underlay had been fitted I was left with close to 20 sqm of underlay left over enough to do another 2xrooms. That's after their own estimator came out and sized all the stairs and rooms for us. Thought it would be really easy to take back the unopened underlay to the shop and get my money back as they made a mistake with the amount they supplied. But no what the salesman (MO) didn't tell me was that i needed to purchase far more underlay than i needed in order to qualify for the free fitting . On speaking to the salesman MO,the store manager John, Regional Manager, I am no further forward in getting a refund. So please be careful when buying from these people they will not think twice about taking far more money from you than is required. I would never buy from this company again disgusting way to treat people, spend the best part of £3000 in there store to be told we will take back the underlay but you will then be due us money as you then won't qualify for the free fitting absolute joke. Thanks SCS for a terrible customer experience.

Couldn't, get sofa into flat told them it would be difficult salesman said it will go in because we take all the cushions off but now can't have a refund because told it is sale stock now got to pay £80 extra for it to be put together in the flat do not spend any money with this company .if you purchased a sale item from Tesco they would be more than happy to refund your money I thought customer always right. not with SCS it seems never again.

1st they delivered my sofa with the wrong foot stool n I had 2 wait 13 weeks for the write 1 n now my cushions have gone in my sofa n this has been going on since last year n still not been repaired very rude people never answer my emails n have never rang me 2 let me know what is going on so mad about this 😡😡😡😡😡

Message to Dave re: itching! Recently purchased furniture from Sofology, my husband itched and my reaction was much worse with coughing, burning skin, red eyes and flu symptoms, I could not sit on it at all. All attempts to get rid of the strong chemical odour failed and I had to shut my lounge off. Luckily I have no young children! After much complaining ( the fabric didn’t match either ) I did get a refund and the furniture removed . Apparently you have a 30 day cooling off period by law and can demand a refund if it’s not fit for purpose, also the trading standards and ombudsman can help you , SCS may pay attention if you say you will take the matter to them! Good luck, it’s no joke, it will have been sprayed with something toxic on its way to you!

Lied to by salesperson at Horwich store. Trevor never called me back as promised. Matt salesman told me all our items would be delivered together on one day,to save me taking time off work. Now they have told me that wont happen and there will be different deliveries. They have ordered the wrong trim on one of the sofas, told me they couldnt change it as the sofa was already made, then the following week when i asked where it was, they told me it wasnt made yet and wouldnt arrive for another 4-6 weeks. I shall never order from them again and will be telling all our contacts what a poor experience we have had with SCS after spending over £5k with them!

I was lied to on more than one occasion by Trevor the salesman at the horwich store just to get a sale from promising a free foot stool with my purchase giving a free kit worth £50 told me guardsman had poor service and is no longer business.once I decided to buy it he denied free gifts and opted to giving a small kit free to 10% off the footstool and not notifying me of no cancellation policy he also tried to then add £30 for the kit to my bill good job I noticed unfortunately we liked the sofa so agreed let’s hope when I receive it we are happy will never return as a customer and will worn all family and friends

My furniture is poorly manufactured using cheap materials. The wooden frame has no wadding around it just material stretched accross it. Not only can the wooden frame be felt it is also clearly visible. There arent even any zips in the scatter back cushions. I suffered personal injury due to staples being exposed and this company claim the furniture is of good quality. I am severely disabled and house bound, therefore i had to purchase these items on line. Had i seen it in the showroom i would never have purchased it. I am seeking legal advice re my personal injury and have arranged for an independent furniture assessor to write a report for me. The way i have been treated is disgusting. Shane on you SCS

After being fobbed off for 2 weeks i have just found out that my sofa is still to be made by the factory in China, they eastimate another 4 weeks which will be 14 weeks from order day. BEWARE

Do not buy from here send you a broken sofa . Make you wait 5 weeks for a repair and vinny and Dave at the chester store who are supposed to be managers don’t even bother to return your call . Never again Terrible service

i was told due to my wife's illness you could be flexible on delivery due to a lot of hospital visits and operations. At first i was told delivery was going to be either Monday or Tuesday i explained that those dates are not possible and was offered Saturday. Unfortunately something came up on Saturday and i can't be around all day like asked and i was prepared to so i went to the store to re arrange then i was shown where i signed and about the 7 days delivery slot i did explain that you told me you could be flexible but only in the 7 days when i tried to get my sofa re delivered. Due to your attitude and lack of co-operation i went to franks and ordered £2000 worth of carpets.

Completely misleading pricing. Given wrong information in store, then price continuously went up each time I spoke to someone. The carpet fitting isn’t free- this is simply not true, i ended up paying g £400 to the fitters on the day. SCS also failed to let me know when the fitters would be arriving, thankfully I chased it up to be told they’d be there at 7.30 the next day! I couldn’t get all the furniture moved in time meaning I was charged extra. Not worth it, not as cheap as you think, sloppy and unprofessional.

Absolutely appalling. Bristol store at Cribbs Causeway, do not go near them! Keith in carpet section has ignored our calls after his store and fitters fit a incorrectly measured carpet in our hallway. 4 months later and Keith is still not returning calls nor any help from SCS central management. Absolutely horrendous.

We bought 2 Kiki sofas, one in green and one in grey, when they were delivered the sofas came in halves, which cost £100 more, so they could get them through the doors. Had all the add-ons, insurance and care package, came to about £2,500 The legs wasn't central on both sofas, the cushions made you feel you were sitting on mount Everest, both left arms on each sofa didn't match the right side. When you sat on the sofas the side without the leg collapsed straight to the floor, when you sit down they creak, we are staying in our bedroom as you can't sit on them. There customer service seemed to take an attitude direction when we told them we wanted our money back, they were very sarcastic. Told us we wouldn't get our insurance money back, so that's great, we've got £280 insurance on sofas we don't possess. The care pack which we paid £50 for, we've never received it, delivery men said it would be sent. Please do not go anywhere near this company, their attitude stinks.

Do not buy from this liers Do not buy from this liers. They told us in the shop that they have a special offer, free fittings and that is not actually true. You have to pay the fittings in the day they bring you the carpet. They are LIERS and I will never come back to this shop again and neither recommend to anyone

I purchased flooring which had been deliverd . When i had someone to do the fitteing 4 box of flooring is dameged i call scs after care they told i have waite 5 working to sort this out now i had half of floor done . It was just one day job now i have pay the fitter 2 day of work which will cost me £500 thanks to scs . Scs item are no good pls avoid scs if you can

Just back from visiting SCS Livingstone after being "served" by a rotund bald headed furniture salesman who's main aim that day seemed to be 'be as unhelpful as possible to customers' his initial price for the suite we wanted was £1400..even though it was advertised at just over £1000..he took it upon himself to quote for dearer seat filling and added a 5 year cover charge, none of which we asked for .....after asking him to explain the increase 2 or 3 times we finally got the advertised price from him...but only after we had yet again to ask continually if the display suite featured the filling we were paying for or the dearer version. We were unsure about the colour, so asked if we could take a sample of the cloth (the sample we wanted was already on display on the full suite, so we were not depriving them)..with a promise to purchase that evening before 6pm over the phone and post the sample back the following morning...the answer from 'Super Salesman'..... No!! ...we left the store....we wanted the suite, but decided then and there we did not want to give him our business...We have 3 Highland shops of our own, and would not employ this 'big shot' in any of them ...we will not be back

this is a last resort. my daughter who works at scs derby put me onto the lvt flooring. i purchased it and paid about 1500 she let me use her disount. this was for the hall, living room and the kitchen. the floor arrived but the fitters came three week later. theyphoned me and wanted to come at 3pm i am disabled and do not like anyone in the house after dark but they insisted saying they had too much work. the day they came i realised my first mistake a fitting charge of 555 pounds had been add.ed at the last minute and was not mentioned, partly my fault for not reading the invoive properly, so make sure you check its not as cheap as it seems the day they came i was then told i had only half the underlay, so could only have two of the areas done. i reluctently picked the hall and livingroom. the trainee lad set about doing the living room and andy the fitter for 30 years did the hall. when they had gone i realized they had left my kitchen door and dog baby gate off, when i walked down the hall i had a stroke and my foot drags i noticed my foot kept catching on the floor in the hall, when my daughter looked at it and the boards where not joined, the lounge was perfect but the hall is a right mess. she put paper in some of the gaps and sent photos to someone called shaun in derby, he said he would get back to us but after about 6 phone calls i have no underlay and no fitter has got back to us whether i ever get the rest done is anybodys guess my son wanted to rip it all up and take it back to the shop, but i cant stand more mess ill update on what happens ,
