“Stated 7 weeks for delivery only to find there statements mean nothing Once they have your money you just have to wait Ironically we have an e mail giving instructions on how to care for a sofa we haven't even received yet avoid this company”

“I really regret ordering a sofa from SCS. The company seems eager to get you to place your order, but once it's done, they no longer care. I went back to update my order 2 days later, and the same person who was so helpful the first time did not even care about listening to us ! I was told my furniture would be delivered within 6-8 weeks (confirmed for the new furniture too), but it’s actually 12 weeks and no one tells you that before you pay the deposit !!! When I called to inquire (because I had to, no one sends you updates), they simply told me the original 6-8 week timeframe was wrong and there’s nothing I can do, including canceling my order. Extremely frustrating! Customer service is awful. Would not recommend at all !!”

“Sofa keeps being delayed, ordered it on the 4th of July and we still don't have it. We had a delivery date sent via text, but just received another text this morning to say that it has been delayed again, with no other delivery date given. They haven't even explained why it has been delayed again. It should have been delivered by mid September. Absolutely fuming and do not recommend at all. I would suggest buying from another company and we certainly will never use them again! There excuse will be "in the contract you signed it stated four weeks either side blah, blah...". It just further proves that you should use a different company to ScS. What has annoyed us is that they keep delaying the sofa with no explanation and no apology. We have had to keep delaying our white van man that we've booked to get rid of our old sofa. It's all added stress that we don't need with a newborn baby!”

“We ordered a sofa from them online. The colour displayed was a darkish cream but when delivered was actually bright white. I have contacted SCS to discuss options which were responded to with tough luck take us to the ombudsman. So we have. Also please read the terms and conditions in full especially in store cause if you have a problem their T and C’s state they will not do a thing”

“Just like to remind people I had a problem with scs 3 years ago with tree piece suite they denied any liability had few months leather coming away Absolute disgrace . But I got the furniture ombudsmen involved sent all evidence to them they SORTED scs out full refund over 3500 pounds well done to them they don’t muck about”

“If I could score a minus number I would, absolutely appalling service, I paid cash for my sofas on 2/2/24 only to receive the incorrect sofas, 8 months later still waiting!! I have now cancelled the order and will never shop at SCS ever again and will advise family and friends to do likewise”

“Leather chair less than 2 years old. Very very saggy leather on arm . Not covered by Insurance as its structural. It should be closed as bad workmanship.”

“My wife and I bought a la z boy sofa 6… My wife and I bought a la z boy sofa 6 years ago, we were told it had a 10 year warranty and it even came with an a5 card boasting about it's world famous 10 year warranty, as we live in the UK we bought it and waited 3 months for delivery.. The cable that operates its reclining mechanism snapped even though it has light domestic use. SCS didn't want to know and la z boy uk weren't interested either. Luckily as an engineer I ordered the cable on Amazon for next day delivery and spent half an hour fixing it myself. We won't be buying from SCS OR LA Z BOY ever again out of principal. Do not believe their sales blurb... 10 year warranty is BS Lol ... apparently the cable isn't part of the mechanism”

“Bought a carpet using the fitter recommended and arranged by SCS. Fitter did a bad job and SCS have said not their responsibility. Worse they won't provide me with any of the carpet fitter's details and he's not responding to messages so I can't make any kind of claim against him. SCS just keep shrugging their shoulders ad saying not their problem. Would never buy anything from them again.”

“If I could give less than 1 star I would! I paid just under £3,000 for a suit that is not fit for purpose! the chairs and the sofa colaps/no support on 1 side when sat on, the technician that came out said it was my fault because of where I sit on the furniture!? How the hell does he know where I sit? he then told me that that's just the way they are made now! cheap and shoddy! his words not mine, I am a pensioner and feel totally ripped off!”

“Anyone thinking of buying from scs do yourself a favour and stay well clear I purchased a corner sofa and armchair and dinningeroom table and chairs they post delivery date several times when they eventually delivered they fitted the legs back to front on the chairs and when I complained about a fault in the sofa they charone £75 to visit and confirm the fault which happens to be 4 missing springs poorly fitted during manufacturing but refuse to replace cushions damaged due to having no springs benothem they are by far one of the worst companies I have dealt with ever and I was a virgin media costumer for years”

“Followed around the store and watched making me feel very uncomfortable. Staff interrupting private conversations and then when you speak to them they go into hard sell mode. I walked out after telling a staff member I didn't want the warranty but tried to tell me I needed it.....I highly recommend not going here. Absolutely hate hard sell and the sculking around you.”

“Went in to buy a recliner chair for my husband. Staff were lovely and we were offered a chair that was in store on a slightly discounted rate. This was because the store was going to be having a refurbishment. We were told that the chair would be delivered on 29/07/2024 which we agreed to. A week or so Later we received an email saying would now be 19/08/2024. We tried to call branch however it’s a central number. We called central number & were told it would be looked into and branch would call us back. Nothing came. I then posted a message on social media and was contacted via DM for details. I provided details and was once again told they would contact me. We are now ten days later and nothing. They are not responding. No one has called or emailed. The chair was ex display & the shop being refurbed for at least two weeks now. I would not recommend. After service is rubbish”
