If I could give no stars I would. Do not order anything with scs - please look at the Facebook group scs complaints and you will see how awful they are. Ordered a carpet In April, the surveyor came to measure it. Has it delivered on 17th may. The carpet guys started to fit it then told me the carpet was too short, the guy has measured it wrong. Waited a few days for the sales office to call us and let us know what's happening or to apologise and nothing. Bear in mind I had to obviously move everything back Into the room that I'd just moved it out of!!! Anyway a few days had passed and nothing at all no call to explain or to apologise. So we called them, said they knew nothing about it and said they would contact us when the new carpet was in. No care in the world, no apology, nothing. Not fussed about the day off work we'd taken for the carpet to be layed or the time I'd spend moving everything out of the room then back in again. So I emailed the ceo, asking for some clarification on maybe some compensation or a due date of the carpet, all I got back was they do not compensate and our date for delivery is the 7th of June. So another two weeks wait on a carpet we should have had put down on the 17th may. No customer service, no care in the world this company as long as they have your money they do not care

Well I would give 0 but no option what can I say delays with carpets over and over again can't wait forever when you are given guarantee in the end I have had to cancel

This is 5th suite I have bought over the years within weeks the arms had an indent in them technician came out and said it’s natural settlement what a load of rubbish it’s never happened before. Also when you sit on one of the seats you sink into it. Paid £2;699 for a load of rubbish.

Besides wrong colour of sofas delivered they are poorly made. Delivery driver used my toilet and didn't wash his hands. Cushions weren't wrapped in plastic and it was pouring rain and left on the floor of the front room. Floors and rugs covered in dirty wet boot marks and the sofas absolutely stank of damp. Head office refuse to acknowledge and say its down to the store to sort out but they've been unable to contact the store. £1.600 I've spent on these sofas and I would strongly advise avoid SCS at all costs. The service in store lulls you into a false sense of security with the offer of a drink and all its done is left me with is a bad taste. Please save your money and the heartache of such shoddy sofas and the shocking attitude of the call handlers who've got the attitude of tough we've got your money. They need to be dissolved as a company they are a rip off.

One star for delivery service no stars for product. Purchased griffin settee n chair quality horrendous even the repair man said foam was of inferior quality, even so scs said there is no structural fault and won’t repair settee even tho settee as lost 2 inches in height and middle cushion produces out. Avoid if you can.

DO NOT USE SCS. A catalogue of errors and I've just been let down a 4th time by their fitters. This has been going on for 2 months but customer service do absolutely nothing. They tell you they're sorry, they tell you they're speaking to their ops people, they tell you the manager will call you back. Nothing happens! Shockingly bad service and no communication from the shop once you've purchased. They couldn't care less. Unbelievable. They've dumped the carpet here so we'll have to pay someone else to fit it I guess. 😞

Bought a 3+2 seater sofa, nearly £700.when they finally turned up they brought 2 x 3 seaters and the three wouldn't go in my bungalow so they took them back.i went back to the shop and the manager wouldn't listen to me,wouldn't do anything for me so I rang the head office who were as bad as the shop manager from hull scs.she said it was my fault because I'd signed for 2 x 3 seater but I don't understand computers so expected the salesman to do the order correctly.i spoke to Carol the first time then had to ring back as I needed 2x2 seater which are cheaper than the 3s but they wouldn't change them knowing the 3 wouldn't go in.that was penny I spoke to.after another month or so of waiting they sent a 2 and a 3 knowing the 3 won't go in but she wouldn't do anything she just kept saying it was down to the shop if they'd change the 3 for a 2 but it was a no again.the only thing I could do was just tell them to leave it my garden which they agreed to straight away.i had a 10 hour heart bypass last year and am still recovering from that.if I could put -5 I would but you have to press one star.PLEASE AVOID SCS AS YOU WILL SPEND A LOT OF MONEY,THEY PROMISE YOU THE WORLD BUT DONT DELIVER ON WHAT THEY SAY.I was laid on my bed over 2 months waiting for .y 2 seater .scs wouldn't even do me a refund even though they still had the furniture.anybody buys from these conmen make sure you want and get what you've paid for but I wouldn't even bother.

Absolutely rubbish company. Ordered and paid for our sofa 2nd Jan 2024. Was told 14 weeks max delivery time. Changed it 3 times now told mid July. 6 months for a sofa. No apology just blaming the red sea but they don't know where its being made.... avoid this company if you have any sense....

The worst service I have ever experienced. We have had multiple issues with poor quality carpet and appalling fitting and 4 months later, this has still not been resolved. I am now faced with taking legal action. Do not use SCS!

The lady called Clare who did my order was very helpful she explained everything I needed to know.She gave me very good advice about items which can help look after my new sofa.And I also enjoyed a lovely cup of coffee while the payment process was completed.I would recommend them to to all my friends when they are ready to purchase furniture in future.

Title: ScS Fails to Uphold Consumer Rights - A Cautionary Tale When I purchased the "Cassia 3 Seater Static Sofas" from ScS in November 2023, I expected a quality product that would provide years of comfortable use. However, within just three months, the foam seats began to sag significantly, indicating a premature deterioration of the upholstered interiors. Despite promptly reporting this issue to ScS and having a technician assess the furniture, the company dismissed my concerns, claiming there was no manufacturing fault. This response was not only dismissive but also a blatant violation of my rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. According to ScS's own terms and conditions, if there is a defect, the company should discuss whether repair, replacement, or rejection of the product is most appropriate. Furthermore, their warranties cover upholstered interiors (foam, fiber & feather filling) and covering material (fabric & leather) for 12 months. The rapid deterioration of the foam seats within just three months of ownership clearly falls within this warranty period. Frustrated by ScS's lack of accountability, I escalated the matter through multiple channels, providing detailed documentation and evidence of the defective condition. However, the company consistently maintained that there was no manufacturing fault, disregarding my rights as a consumer to expect products of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and durability. Despite my persistent efforts to reach a fair resolution, ScS repeatedly dismissed my concerns and advised me to seek assistance from the Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman, an external body that should not be necessary to involve for a reasonable resolution from a reputable retailer. Even after escalating the matter to the CEO, Steve Carson, ScS remained unwilling to uphold their obligations under consumer protection laws. Their dismissive attitude and lack of accountability have left me with no choice but to pursue legal action through the Small Claims Court. My experience with ScS has been a frustrating and disappointing one, marred by a lack of customer care and a disregard for consumer rights. As a cautionary tale, I urge others to be vigilant when purchasing from ScS and to be prepared to assert their rights if faced with similar issues. A company's true character is often revealed in how it handles customer complaints and upholds its obligations. In this regard, ScS has failed miserably, leaving me with a sour taste and a determination to seek justice through legal means.

Very bad service had to wait over 8 months for spare parts.SCS said we would get the parts in 12 weeks. Rang customer service most weeks to find out what was going on. No one got back to us went into our local SCS to see if they could do anything nothing it was down to customer service. Lost our first order second miss the time slot.then they told us that the parts in the warehouse but they weren’t. Finally last week Emmiera came out to fix the sofa and chair they couldn’t do more for us. I would never use SCS again. Customer service is very poor

The appointed Tech. From Emmeira arrived today and took photo’s of the sofa and inspected underneath. When I explained that my wife has now got bleeding piles with sitting on the hard sofa, he just replied saying that he doesn’t work for SCS and was only here to make sure there was no manufacturing faults. He also said that it would get softer with sitting on it. My wife has been sitting on the sofa for 8 months ! How long does it take for this to happen ? she is also attending the surgery now with bleeding piles. My next step here will be to contact the Environmental Health & Raw Deal, we are disabled pensioners and cannot afford to be throwing away over £2000 just for my wife to end up with bleeding piles. I hope scs read this and do something about my complaint before I take further action as mentioned above

Purchased a sofa from here and was told it came with a free foot stool which I like so ordered the sofa. Upon delivery nearly 4 months later there was no foot stool in sight, when scs York was called was told that there wasn't a footstool included in the offer, the paperwork receipt even stated that there was a free food stool. When questioned a member of staff in store was fobbed of with the answer of ' I made a mistake and these things happen' and I won't be getting my foot stool. Then recieved a call from a staff member stating I can buy the 'free' footstool for £300 which was refused as why would I buy something that was free, then recieved another call saying I could have the 'free' foot stool for £100 again refused as they still didn't understand why I'd buy a FREE foot stool. After arguing in store and on the phone and sending emails have been told will finally get the free foot stool but just to add insult to injury will have to wait another 4 months for that to arrive. Absolutely shocking service from SCS and appalling that they treat their elderly customers this way AVOID AVOID AVOID

Paid close to 4K for two sofas and In only 4 months one seat cushion was clearly not right, it was sinking down and making a strange noise, a tech was sent who said something had gone inside and he recorded the noise, he said he would order parts and we would hear within a fortnight. Heard nothing so called and was told the manager had overruled the tech and nothing was wrong, we were disgusted and so they sent a second tech who refused to compare it to the other seats, would not sit on it and said it was fine, we suspect he came primed with what he was to say because since then we have contacted the ombudsman who has received both reports and the first one now mentions nothing about it needing a repair even though the tech had typed it all out on his tablet and told us he would order parts. They are a deceitful, fraudulent company regardless of all of the “positive” reviews. It would be interesting to see how many actually go on to have issues because there are thousands of complaints on Facebook alone and the bad reviews on Trustpilot seem to disappear over time 🤨

Don't buy from this company I payed 3k for electric recliner sofa and chair, only has it 2 years and one of the cushions has slanted, SCS say it's usual wear and tear, so what they are saying is their furniture has a life span of 2 years. Utter rubbish, customer service couldn't care less, I definitely won't return...

Received sofa in different colour not what shows on website. Despite that i was told there is nothing wrong with it as sofa is not faulty.

2 leather sofas delivered, wrong colour, customer service said, we have got in touch with manufacturer and they are sending a sample. Waited 12 days no sample, no one contacted us. Allen customer service again, response was manufacturer says it’s the correct colour. Which it wasn’t. Was told to contact omnibus man. Somone got this wrong, plus you get no paperwork it’s sent by e mail. Do not trust this company plus customer service is rude.

Ordered 2 Sofas, they were delivered with wrong feet, was told they’d be out to sort it out within 48 hours and they were not! So had been in contact back and forth for ages untill they finally delivered the correct ones but they’ve now given me an appointment so later to get them put on, so because of them we’ve had 2 sofas in our living room with different feet on each for absolutely ages! The customer service was just appalling, kept getting told someone would call me back but no one ever did nor did anyone respond to any emails.
