3 moths plus trying to get them to get my car repaired. Excuse after excuse. Now the body shop has been at it with them form 3 weeks. Rude , uncaring. I was hit by their customer a medical care company at that. If you see you have these people to deal with, do yourself a favor and lawyer UP .

Absolute worst. They deny all claims without even looking at them and you have to send them back to an examiner and will continuously fight them. They do the company’s dirty work. Causing more stress on the person who is trying to heal. I am disgusted that places like this exist. I will be suing them if they deny my overall claim.

A delay delay delay make you go to other doctors just make you be signed back to work when your doctor sent you out of work delay, delay delay, and the workers comp allows it so it’s the workers cop commissioners that allow these games to be played so play right back at these motherf

Deny and delay. They think they are doctors, and can make decisions on your health by looking at your Dr's. notes. If there is a delay in the doctor's filling out the paperwork, you are denied benefits and have to appeal the claim and all the documentation collection is on you. Meanwhile you are trying to recover from major back surgery. Unethical, fraudulent, criminal business practices are their specialty. If there was negative stars for the rating, that would be too high.

Horrible. They filled my leave as if I was adopting my first grandchild.I took leave to care for my daughter and her baby after birth. Wow! Continually rejected my leave due to their mistakes. Walmart please reconsider using this company. Your employees deserve better.

I've left my claims adjuster, messages. I've also left the case manager, messages. They don't return any of my voicemails or calls. They later send me notices stating that they've tried contacting me. The one time they actually called me, they hung up and never called me back. They now have a 3rd party company in charge of calling you to follow up on your therapy/doctors appointments. That company's name is "One Call." They called me a month later to let me know my therapy sessions were approved a month ago. Terrible experience with both of these companies.

I’ll just start by saying I truly believe this company NEEDS mandatory sensitivity training!! Especially when dealing with family leave issues due to a dying parent. I had a stepmom given weeks to live, due to stage four cancer throughout her body. I immediately fly to Arizona (where she is) from Texas to get the little quality time we have left. I’ve explained this to the case manager on my claim. They still interrupted me several times via phone calls while there. Requesting paperwork to basically prove the diagnosis was real. I obliged by sending several signed documents by the multiple doctors caring for her. Sedgwick rep claims that won’t suffice (after I’ve already jumped through hoops to obtain the multiple documents turned in) and that I need to take documents Sedgwick sends me AFTER THE FACT! All this mind you, and I’m not requesting nor will I be paid for the 3 days off. Claim denied and within a months time, mom passed away. Submitted requested paperwork on that too and still, claim denied. Heartless cold and callous people I’ve mostly encountered. I truly hope they receive mercy when their reaping is upon them.

This has to be the absolute worse company I have ever had to deal with. The one and only reason this company exist is to eliminate employees for companies like Wal-Mart. They think they know more than your doctor and take your benefits that you are lawfully deserve right out from under your feet and couldn't care less. They all deserve to go to _____. I have to believe in Karma that those whom wrong others will get what's coming to them. Deep down I am so glad that my dealings with these thieves is over.

Horrible. They cancelled my claim due to non receipt of doctors forms. How can I make the doctors office fill out the forms ? They’ve had three weeks and I’ve been checking constantly but I can’t make them fill out forms. Why penalize the patient for sloppy follow up by doctors ? I requested an extension for the paperwork and it was denied. Now I can’t get my STD started and I’ve missed a month of pay. Thank you sedgwick. Horrible company.

My company Northwell used Sedgwick to manage their leave. I had a terrible experience with them as did my coworker. My department is small (6 nurses). Two of us were on maternity leave and were overpaid. They then reached out to us months later asking one of us for $500 back another for $750 back. They said it was human error and people typed the wrong numbers in by accident. It happened on 7 different days though… human error cannot be happening that often and I find it very sketchy that it happened to 2 of us on the same type of leave. I do not want them managing my leave in the future and would not recommend

It doesn't get worse than this. You get a different answer depending on who you talk to. There is a high level of incompetence. You can't get answers to your questions. Some reps don't call back. It's shockingly bad and unprofessional!

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS - I BELIEVE SEDGWICK IS BEING ILLOGICALLY BASHED!!! I have had Three - Count Them - THREE - Separate Extended Leave Claims through Sedgwick as a Lowes Employee, and I've only been their employee for TWO YEARS!! First, A Proper Shout-Out To Them for putting up with my apparently hazard lightning-rod life! The first accident, a rather odd pallet lifting and stacking incident in which I partially tore a tendon in my right forearm! This required surgery, a month and a half of recovery and physical therapy! Next, a winter, right shoulder ligament injuring trip-and-fall in the parking lot of my apartment complex. This occurred over a mid-parking lot cement "parking guide" with no raised markers. This structure disappears when it snows more than 6 inches!! I'm still addressing the safety hazard this poses! Again, over a months rehab and recovery! Thirdly, and worst, a severe auto accident involving a practically head-on collision with a cement embankment! (I'm starting to feel that Murphy is somehow a relative of some kind!) This fractured my Sternum, and though no treatment could help, I was again out for over a month! Each and every time Sedgwick immediately accepted my claim, expediently processed it and kept me updated through their My Sedgwick Website!! By the way, all claiments have 24-Hour access to this site, and are informed of this in the Snail Mail and Emailed claims documentation!! This is how to contact your Case Manager with any questions you may have!!! Sometimes I must wait a day or so for a response, but I simply consider how many injured people there are - then this becomes totally acceptable!! Remember; Patience Is A Virtue Folks!! You Are Not The Only Claimant They Have!!!! Also, I have always been paid by Sedgwick no later than Two Weeks after my claim was approved, and that only takes, at most, a week - as long as you provide the understandably required documentation! My goodness! A three week wait - to me, that's a pretty fast response to an unpredictable and processing-required occurrence!!! Face it - They Are A Health-Care Business, ever heard of HIPAA?!? It's a paperwork nightmare that they must correctly follow TO PROTECT YOU!! In the future, look more closely at whether you are actually Working "Properly" With Them --- Or Simply, Judgmentally, And Selfishly, Against Them!! PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT!!!! Sedgwick Is Not Evil Or Out To Get You - Just An Insurance Company Filling A Much Needed.Service!! Thanks To Anyone Who Reads This In It's Entirety - I Hope It Helps! THANKS SEDGWICK FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR ME!!🫡👍

They are the worst company ever!!!!! I have gotten the run around and they keep requesting documents. Taking 2 months, claim still pending. I received a email that things are complete, then need more information. No one should have to deal with this, especially when you are disabled.

This is the worst insurance company I have ever encountered in my life. I have a claims rep who is unresponsive. Ive sent 15 emails and 2 months have passed and Im still not reimbursed for my claim (which is a small repair). They also don't give you any alternate ways of communication if your rep is unresponsive. They're awful. Avoid them at all costs.

I have been employed with a company for almost three years. This company uses Sedgwick for employees to claim disability or leave. I filed a claim because I have a suicidal son. I received a phone call from one of their employees. She told me, that I couldn’t use my leave for an anyone, but myself. So, I explained the situation again. She still said I couldn’t use my leave for anyone, but myself. I kept my composure and said I appreciate your help and have a good day. This rude, unprofessional, apathetic, woman said “WHAT”. I said I said thank you for your help and just ended the call. I have been paying for long and short term disability since I’ve been employed with this company. I hate disrespectful and none empathetic people. I wish I could rate them without stars.

I was assigned to Carolyn Shutack as my claims representative. She does not return phone calls, emails, and when I called in to main office to address my concerns, they did not assist me and instead Carolyn finally responded. I am still owed money from Sedgwick, but doubtful I will receive it. I only had to deal with them because the person who damaged my car was insured through them via rental.

Sedgwick is the absolute worst short term disability insurance out there. They tell you one thing and do another! Then they decide not your Dr if you can go back to work or not. No wonder they have had so many lawsuits against them!
