Worst company ever Not able to speak with a adjuster My offcycle check has been pending since 5/17 and payday is 5/25 and it’s still pending They blame my employer for everything when it is sedwick! On top of being sick we have to deal with this bull!! Not fair to anyone to have to go through this !!

I wish I could give negative stars. I no longer work for Walmart, but I had to deal with Sedgwick quite a few times and every single time it was nothing but stressful and inconvenient. I had an 8 week medical leave due to surgery and was not paid until a week before I went back to work. They denied my leave for covid because I wasn’t sick enough to be in the hospital (even though I tested positive 3 times on both home and lab tests, and worked in food service so it was LITERALLY illegal for me to be at work). Recently I injured my ankle and went to the emergency room and then an orthopedic doctor. The orthopedic doctor put me in a walking boot and said I could return to work on light duty. Sedgwick didn’t send the paperwork to my doctor until almost a week after my initial claim, and I’m sure they only did so because I contacted them about it. I left Walmart for a new job within the following two weeks, but I was in consistent contact with HR, who informed me that they never received any information whatsoever from Sedgwick. Today I was informed that my claim was denied due to not receiving information from my doctor. Not that it matters anymore since I’m working elsewhere, but this is entirely false, as I actually watched them fax the paperwork to Sedgwick after I signed the release form at the doctor’s office. This company is inconsiderate, unreliable, and overall a nightmare to work with. 0 stars. Do not recommend.

My PCP and a specialist both determined the same diagnosis I have. Sedgwick declined my short term leave. Had multiple appointments with both Doctors and the reason for the denial were 1) didn't follow health care process 2) the medical I received was not conducive with the reason for my short term leave. It's ironic that both my doctor's came up with my treatment plan but somehow Sedgwick knows more than my doctor's about me. I agree with the other review that there needs to be something done about Sedgwick handling of these cases, perhaps a joint lawsuit against Sedgwick. Every person you can actually get a hold of tells you a different story. One person will say they have all the information they need. Then they deny your case and say you didn't give enough information. I had to deal with a case worker Mitch, who would never return calls or emails but just went and denied my claim. What horrible communication this company has. They must only approve family members

The case manager is hard to reach. Would take a week or more to respond to messages in the portal/account. She would not answer the phone call. Not a great experience so far. I wish my company did not contract to them.

Let's say my case started badly after being injured on the job they recorded the incident but Noone told me about worker comp I finance all my medical treatment. When the doctor pulled me out of work(SURGERY) HR got nervous and sent my case to Sedgwick. I waited 1 month b4 I got a dollar and medical attention. When I do get medical attention I had to see 5 doctors remind u I got all my 🩻 MRIs and they still started from scratch. After changing 3 adjusters and getting surgery done OH LORD the nightmare 😫 starts the doctor at Garden State Orthopedic F$#k up my nervous system then my adjuster Glen Lumbar went missing not even his supervisor Amanda replied. Then a nurse case manager came on board she tried 🙄. They paid for NOTHING after their surgeon messed me up. They send me to pain management big joke the man had no clue what he was doing. He said I was wrongly diagnosed so I handed him a neurologist's report he jump on his 🖥 and Google and then run me out of his office. I just paid for all my treatments then I went back to the surgeon he send me back to work full duty I said sir I'm not fully healed I went back and in 5 minutes opt manager pull me out and it's 2 months now and I can't see the doctor...the doctor released me back to work with fluid in my knee. When I reach out to my adjuster he forward the message to his supervisor that replied by saying u have an attorney DO NOT CONTACT us see u in court. These r some HEARTLESS mfrs but I will pray 🙏 for their kids that karma doesn't reach dem...

This company needs to be reported to Better Business Bureau, THE WORST. I am exhausted of trying to communicate with them. My husband claim was reported to them since February 14,2023 the accepted the claimed but is not moving forward. Kori S. who is in charge of the claim does not respond to emails or phone calls. I am tired of this, If I don't here from Sedwick soon I will get a lawyer, I should it done that at the beginning I would it safe me a lot of headaches.

Absolutely the worst insurance company ever. Most excuses I've ever heard and they keep giving me the run around. The claims adjuster is very mean and don't ever seem to be happy. She couldn't give to s**ts about losing my mom in the auto accident. Something needs to be done either a huge lawsuit or cancel this insurance company completely.

This has been the worst experience of my life? My car was damaged through no fault of my own with a cost of £2200 to repair and this company has wormed their way out of any responsibility on behalf of three client ? The couldn't even get my name right thats how unprofessional they are. They did zero investigation before they came to the conclusion there client wasnt to blame and they were not going to pay me out. Luck has it I now have a witness and I am contemplating taken them to court ? Watch this space sedgwick im coming for you 😡😡😡😡

I had back surgery in January got approved for short term disability when it was a month proper to my back to work date my doctor added more time off cause my body is healed enough for me to preform my job performance. They waited until 3 days before my claim expired and faxed over paperwork for my doctor when they knew a month proper. Instead of me relaxing and healing. This company have you stressing during your time of resting. Now I have to appeal a decision that was made by people that are not doctors never to make a decision on my heath. Somebody make ot make sense. I hate my job changed to this company it's been a hot mess from day one.

Sedgwick Literally Ignored ALL of my emails, and phone calls for THE ENTIRE TIME my STD Claim was open. They asked me for updated medical documents, set a due date, I submitted my documents 2 days prior to their own due date along with PROOF that they did IN FACT GET THE DAMM DOCUMENTS, then they continued to Ignore my emails to confirm, then LITERALLY RAN OUT THEIR OWN CLOCK, CLOSED THE CLAIM, Then called me laughing about it in my face LYING THEIR ASSES OFF saying "Oh we haven't gotten anything". They dont care about people. They're liars, and they're always working on a sociopathic Darwinistic side agenda which is their approach to business.

Terrible company to have to deal with! I was on leave for a medical condition that resulted in surgery. I had my pay “garnished” twice for a leave that lasted a month because I was told I was overpaid twice. I was supposed to be on paid leave until 3/20 per my provider however Sedgwick only approved me to be on leave til 3/14. How does my provider have no say in how long I need to be out for? The issues I’ve had with my company AND Sedgwick and getting paid make me want to leave the company I work for altogether

They told me to allowlist one number, then called with another. Never called back and sent threatening SMSes about getting charged for my leave. Also categorized my eldercare leave request as “baby bonding” in my company portal for my management chain to see.

This company absolutely cannot handle your claims. And if you find out that you have them through a workman’s comp, rest assured you will be screwed over. No communication whatsoever. Refuses to work with me through email. Asked me to fax them something from a public library. Tells me they’ve paid bills and I’m still receiving bills to this day. They will not answer my phone calls or voicemails. Damaged my credit because I was sent to collections. This company needs to completely shut down. I’ve had to get my HR manager involved every step of the way just to make my claim move forward. It’s been over 2 years dealing with this and I feel like it’ll never end. I need someone higher than my agent to contact me immediately or I feel like I need to get a lawyer involved. This is gross negligence.

Details: Please note that in this review the 'product/service' that I expected Sedgwick to delivery is my the direct deposit of my paycheck, which they failed to complete the process competently and instruct my employer to proceed with payment. Unfortunately, this is my second experience with Sedgwick in an 8 year period and both were negative. My current situation is very similar to my first experience in that I did not receive my pay as I should have and I was told that I would. So now in addition to foucusing on my healing journey I am spending my days chasing Sedgwick Examiners who do not return calls, repeating my story to Sedgwick call center employees who do not have an escalation process to invoke outside of sending you to a third voicemail , who also doesn't return phonecalls. The sad part about it is that the call center employees confirmed that the documentation was sent to the wrong doctor three times. However, no one is able to tell me how the issue can be resolved. For example, we will reach out to the correct doctor today and get you paid as soon as possible or we need your help with getting this confirmation completed by your doctor.. . NOTHING! Sedgwick advertises the hours of 8am to 8pm. I called back at 6:30pm in a final attempt to understand how I can get paid only to find out that the examiners and their supervisors are gone for the day. Mind you that at 8:02am my exainmer was in a different time zone and wouldn't be in until after 9am. As for communication and setting my expectations - I received the following text message on April 6th, 2023; Hi, Your claim has been approved. You can expect your pay on your next regularly scheduled pay date. Please contact us at (888) 931-3100 if any concerns or issues. Then when I called on April 17th, after NOT being paid, the very first call canter rep tells me that yes they can see the text message that I received above but they don't know why it was sent to me because the status of my case is still pending due to the documentation that was sent to the wrong doctor three times not being returned to them. So at the end of the day, you can't trust what Sedgwick tells you and you have to spend tons of your time chasing them because they don't return calls and there is no escalation process that doesn't involve a voicemail. Had I known that you can't trust them when they confirm you will get paid, I would have re-routed or even stopped my autopays from that particular account. But out of the 6 live people I spoke with, only 1 understood the financial impact their failing processes and incompencies are causing me at a time when I have increased medical expenses and should be focused on healing and physical therapy. There should literally be an option dedicated to people who didn't get paid - Press 7 if we told you that you would get paid but you didn't because so many of my co-workers have had this same experience. I literally don't know why large major corporations (such as mine) are using Sedgwick as a Third Party Service Provider. I too would have selected '0' stars if it was an option.

Worthless company. They require a form to be filled out by your doctor and if he doesn't want to fill out the form, then you're basically screwed. They give you a lot of run around and other people to talk to, who will just talk in circles because the it's ultimately YOUR responsibility to get the doctor to fill out the form. What they said they require is a diagnosis and a timeline when you can come back to work. The doctor I got when I had pneumonia was worthless. He was sketchy, he said he knew what I had so there was no need for him to do blood tests. There was no medication besides OTC stuff to treat the symptoms to prescribe and the virus has to run it's course and it would take 2-4 weeks. I asked for a note and he said he wouldn't write one and I told him I didn't want to lose my job and he said they can't fire me for this anyway but it's against the law for him, as a doctor, to share details relevant to my health. I told Sedgwick what he told me and they just got stupid. They wanted me to go to a different doctor who would take the notes he made and fill out the form for him. After many hours of talking to these Sedgwick people, I gave up. I simply didn't care what happened anymore because it was beyond my power to do anything and it cost me my job.
