What an absolute joke. Two months after a very straight-forward and uncomplicated on-the-job injury the 'staff' continue to require micro-managing of medical bill resolution. Claim administrators are initially friendly enough but quickly lose interest in managing your case after the second week. Very much akin to the worst DMV experience with poorly educated/trained employees that are simply another cog in the machine. Only the cheapest, most apathetic employers would select Sedgwick for their Workers Compensation Claims Management. Resolutely disgraceful.

I was in a minor car accident on 7/3, I was told by the shop that was repairing my car it would be fixed within 1-2 weeks. The adjuster (Sedgwick) was notified on 7/8, the claims adjuster didn't look at my car until 7/19 and the claims report was not done until 7/24!! There was a supplemental estimate which Sedgwick needed to approve. Needless to say, it has been a month waiting for the approval from the claims adjuster and now I have to pay out of pocket for a car rental until my car is done. My insurance only covers rentals for 1 month. This is absolutely ridiculous!! My car should have only taken 2 weeks to repair but my insurance company made the mistake of having Sedgwick do the claims adjustment. This is the worst company I have ever seen, almost 3 weeks to do a claim adjustment!! The shop who is fixing my car kept apologizing to me for Sedgwick, they said they have NEVER had an adjuster take that long! I don't know how this company stays in business with all the bad reviews. I know if I ever hear anyone mention Sedgwick again, I will be sure to tell them my experience with them.

As employees of an organization we must deal with Sedgwick's negligence, the lack of professionalism, and outright does not care about the continuity of our financial responsibilities. Sedgwick ignores us because the company we serve (work for) ALLOWS it. Insurance companies are in the business of gaining money. Sedgwick's absence center works along with the short-term disability examiners using one email and fax number, yet they seem to not help each other with sharing medical information. This is done by design to allow time to pass and not payout benefits. I blame the hiring organization of Sedwick for thinking so little of their employees to employ Sedgwick to meet the quality demands of their benefits needs. These organizations review the overwhelming complaints and are aware of Sedgwick's extremely negative history as we all do. Companies that care about their employees and want to build a good working relationship with them should reevaluate Sedgwick's customer service and hire a better insurance provider.

A few months ago we were heading in to grab lunch at Chick-fil-A at Town Ridge Square in Raleigh, NC, I tripped over a poorly marked parking bumper and landed on my face on the cement sidewalk. As I tried to get up from my fall, bleeding and in pain, two workers came out and told me that this "happens all the time to customers." After x-rays on my leg, face and hand at emergency care that day and a visit to the orthopedic surgeon the next day, I found out I had broken my hand. After countless follow up calls, I finally found out from the heartless insurance company, Sedgwick, that Chick-fil-A will not pay any of my medical bills. I am still in constant pain from my broken hand and have scars on my lip and chin. After dealing with Sedgwick on this issue, I really have to disagree with their “Taking care of people is at the heart of everything we do” statement on their web site.

Every time you call you get a different person, and have to explain all the details of your claim with them over, and over. Every person you talk to contradicts the others and gives you different instructions on how to handle your case. Then they all tell you the other person was wrong and give you a new set of paperwork you're supposed to complete. You're supposed to have a claim manager, yet you never talk to them. They tell you they'll call you back then they never do. Rinse and repeat. These people are lazy, rude and completely useless. This incompetence is causing unnecessary risk to people's jobs and it needs to be fixed. Obviously it won't though. This company has sucked for years, and it's clear that the owners and companies that use them don't care. If you're a regular person reading this, please use extreme caution when dealing with this company. Get ready to jump through hoops and bend over backwards trying to get these people to their jobs.

Really screwed my Friend on his Worker's Compensation Claim. Their own treating Physician filed documentation with the WCAB. The document stated the injury was work related and cumulative trauma. Five days later, nickthey denied the claim, based on some BS Employer level investigation. He dismissed his Attorney who was Complicit. Did nothing for 22 months. I have taken the case over. A Hearing is scheduled in 2 weeks. I know a Trial will be required. I have found a great deal of Ammo in all the paperwork. I will hang them within this so called system. I feel sorry for all of you who had to deal with their Criminal BS. They were fined here in California about 5 years ago. Several million dollars I recall. They pay no one, they cheat, they steal, and they lie. I will do my very best to take them apart, in a very broken system. May God Bless you all.

This by far the worst company to deal with working at Walmart. What I had to face while I was pregnant how many claims they kept denying me. My doctors & me had all the proof they need still got denied. When I had to deliver my baby early still was not enough proof for to approve me. While my baby was fighting for his life in the nicu. Still wasn’t enough proof for them. Til now my baby back & fourth in the hospital & I still have to let them know what’s going on. Them agencies are rude & disrespectful over the phone. I was told that I had to put my job first instead of my kids why would they say such things like that to me. I wish they would get rid of those point for all employees you’ll never know what people’s go through on a day to day basis in they everyday life. I wish there’s a way you can sue this company cause what they do to peoples is ridiculous

i wish i could give 0 stars for this review considering i came here here to write a negative review describing their deplorable business and customer service practices only to be met with a long list of others' reviews perfectly describing my mistreatment. Took me complaining and calling many times and months for them to even consider looking at the "communication center".

We have been waiting for our estimate since 05/30/24; it is 07/22/24. You can't get anyone on the phone, from reps to supervisors, and you have re-tell them everything every time you call. I work with insurance companies all day long. They are, by far, the worst that I have seen. I don't recommend that you use them, because they probably won't be in business long. The only reason I gave them one star is because you can't leave 0.

Unless you’re used to getting ghosted all the time don’t even think about relying on them. This company spends their time not responding to calls, and making sure people don’t get paid and receive correct accommodations when they are crippled. Life Ruiners and should be renamed Sedgewicked instead.

Always need copies of the same paperwork. Claims to never get the paperwork. Claims they sent the paperwork but they never do. Drags their feet on claims. Overall terrible service. Definitely causes unnecessary confusion, stress & anxiety during an already tough time

Every time I have to use Sedgwick for short term disability it is a hassle from case management that never answer the phone or call back to absolutely ridiculous procedures that make me call for them to have documentation faxed to Sedgwick multiple times till they finally say they have it they will never follow up you as a patient recovering from surgery have to do their job for them to get the paperwork they say they need to them if you don’t stay up on it you won’t paid instead of your case worker making the calls and getting the information faxed over you have to do it for them! They simply love taking money for insurance but hate paying it out when you need it!

Sedgwick doesn't call even call when the representative says they will. Sedgwick doesn't follow up on emails as important information has been sent and NEVER responded to. There is no communication from this company other than surveys on how satisfied we are with their service. I'm not satisfied. As I'm apparently not important enough to get a call back, email, or any communication. No direction from a company that has too much to do besides waste time on people depending on them. Same story as everyone else reviewing Sedgwick online. The reviews aren't great and what stands out are similar issues not getting resolved from other people dealing with Sedgwick across The United States. Message received recently; "Hi, Sedgwick here. We have not received info from your health care provider. Please follow up with them to make sure we get your info by 07/22/2024. For more info, see video at: sedg.info/WMTFAQ2." And it has been since April 2024 that the first Leave of Absence has been put in. June was the 3rd Leave of Absence. Why so many Leaves put in? Because Sedgwick does not do their job and could care less about the people needing the Leave. My situation is caring for a disabled son who cannot care for himself! Numerous trips to the Doctor's office has been made in order to make certain EVERY question is answered. Then the phone calls, ISP, reports, reasons noted by the Doctor regarding my son needing someone, State and Federal governments awareness of my son's situation, have been emailed multiple times just to get a ridiculous message as the one listed. And now July 10th survey being completed today. But NO PHONE CALL from a representative. If I find anyone who really doesn't work much but wants full pay, they will be referred to Sedgwick. Hope they get a call back to be hired. Sincerely, John Kagle

This is by far the worst experience I have had with an insurance company or any company for that matter! Sedgwick is completely unprofessional! I wrote an email to Heidi Sayles explaining that I’ve been waiting for the claims to be processed far past my 10-12 business days, and that I don’t live in the US I was here checking on my business! I’m stuck here until this claim process is done! I was due back home where I WORKa month ago! I turned my paperwork in 6/6 decisions have been made on 2 of the claims to be paid out it’s been 2 weeks I’ve been waiting on a direct deposit! Not only am I still waiting they let me know that they are now sending a check out that will take 10-12 more business days to receive 😳! Another delay in my flight ✈️! I wrote an extensive email to EVERYONE I spoke with and cc the manager…🦗🦗🦗so now I have no idea what’s going on! No return call and no return email! I’ll be reporting them to the BBB and to my states Department of Insurance as well as to the Department of Insurance for California as that’s who I’ve been dealing with!

They sent me a letter. Confirming that my case was not going to be affected, and nothing was needed on my part. Then my case was never approved, and every time I call, they tell me an advisor is not available and that I will receive a phone call the next business day. This company has awful customer service audio, which makes dealing with them that much worse.
