“My travel companion and I until the trip to Switzerland/ Stresa have enjoyed a comfortable and interesting journey. Our guide in the last trip was young and appeared disinterested in her job. She refused to go to the top of the Matterhorn leaving those who went unaccompanied. If there had been any problems we had no recourse but to deal with such as medical emergencies. Also we did not appreciate, being cornered with the Stresa guide who was selling her wares. A very uncomfortable situation. The sites themselves were wonderful but not a lot to do in Villars.”

“We have travelled 8 times with Senior Discovery Tours. Most have been very good. Some of the itineraries have disappointed - bus for 2 hours each way to spend an hour or so at destination. I understand this is to not overextend the day but sometimes it is just a waste. For the most part the hotels have been excellent; meals up and down. In Ireland, we had the same dinner, at different hotels, at least 10 times. In summary, we feel we got good value for our money and hope to travel with SDT again.”
“The tours that I'd taken (8) were all good, though some were better than others, especially the places that I'd never been to before when I used to travel with Globus and Cosmos. I especially enjoyed Sicily and Malta as I did not see this with Globus or Cosmos. I did find that
in some places I did not have enough time to do the cities. One good example is Dublin from the tour last Oct (Northern Wales and Eastern Ireland). When I was with Globus I could cover more places and see more in Dublin for the time where we were there compared to last year.
In general, it's not enough time in any place after the city walk.
This is just personal. I prefer more scenery and culture and history, and architecture. But I don't like to spend too much time in museums and theaters (eveninigs).
And despite SDR's caution regarding physical ability, some participants are not up it (in 2 of my 8 tours).
The only problem now is for long-haul flights, it might take 3-4 years to recover before we can travel again.”
“Our first trip was to the East Coast in September, 2018. Our tour guide, Karen was excellent - we met amazing travellers and enjoyed the tour. Subsequently we decided to book for Spain in March, 2019 for one month. Imagine our delight and surprise when Karen met us at the Airport with a big hug. We loved the program in Torrelimos and especially the extra walking tours that Karen arranged. She really took care of everyone We were ready to book for Greece when the pandemic hit in 2020. We would eventually be interested in a 3-week program with historical tour + island cruise.

“I have enjoyed the previous couple of tours with your company. This year I was booked for Croatia and Slovenia which I cancelled not only due to Covid but the earthquake in Croatia back in late March. It seems I’m not fated to visit that country. Prior to coming to Canada I lived in Austria for about 9 months and while there had a tour booked to what was still Yugoslavia. There was an earthquake and my husband and I had to cancel. 😢 Hopefully things will get back to some sort of normal and we can all travel again. 🛫”
“My late wife and I went on 5 tours with Senior Discovery tours. They offer excellent value and just about everything is included. Hotels are carefully selected and are usually in the heart of the cities you visit. The tour managers and guides are experienced and take care of their guests. We went on all 3 of the Mexico tours, largely because of the manager Liliana.
Single rates are available and post Covid I may travel again. My only complaint is that some tours have excessive additional charges from Western Canadian cities.”
“I have taken three trips with Senior Discovery Tours and had a great time on all of them. The tour guides were friendly, informative and knowledgeable. The food was amazing, especially on the two cruises aboard the Princess Cruise Line. I have no complaints about my trips, and hope to travel more with Senior Discovery. As an aside I think ships should offer free wifi or at least offer it at a more reasonable price.”
“Travelled twice with you, once to England and France and then once to tormellinos Spain. The first trip the only thing to complain about was that we could not access internet in our room in London and not enough free time and our trip to Spain where we had to transfer planes which was a total nightmare and the food in the hotel (we were there almost two weeks) was a buffet and it was very monotonous and the room which was always clean had little air conditioning and the view was definitely not the best. We would rather pay more for better accommodation and food. We will never pick another trip where we need to transfer planes . But on both occasions we had the most hospitable and friendly tour administrators possible, they were amazing. Some complained in Spain that our tour guide was a bit too young to understand the needs of the seniors but we absolutely loved her, her name was Ruby and she came from Montreal.”

SDT IS VERY ORGANIZED - well planned with informative and trained guides to lead us on our journeys. Thank you. Most hotels are at least **** clean and has WIFI.”
“I have travelled lots and Senior Discovery tours in my favourite way to travel. Everything is paid for before you leave including tips. the only money you need is for souvenirs. The guides are extremely good and look after all our needs. We stay in very good and clean places. In our India trip we stayed in amazing old places with lots of history when we were not in big cities, Will sure travel with them again.”
