“I was the tour manager for last fall qm2. It was only my second time, the previous year it was my first. The first time I was actually trained and informed for about 3 hours, things were very well explained to me. The following year, it was expected of me to remember everything and was not advised on anything, I was given my package and that was it. I honestly didn’t think I was going to do this again and had no ideas to how I was to handle the second trip. I believed I was doing a good job until I came back and was advised that my services were no longer needed by your company. I did explain that I was not advised on anything the second time and was told I should have used my imagination! I worked for air canada and Canadian airlines combined for 43 years and was a top agent, and if we were off for one year we were given a week refresher training , as any well organized company would do. I was treated like an imbecile by your manager in Toronto and was made to feel totally inadequate! This upset me quite a bit, so you may look into refresher training to managers who do this only once a year.

“Have had one excellent trip to Spain with Senior Discovery Tours but have tried a few times to book other tours but have not been successful. Once, the tour was cancelled because not enough people signed up for it, the second time we were talked out of it by your agent, and a third time the tour was cancelled. We would like another tour with your company, but so far have not had much luck. We prefer one stop and stay holidays. Also, we like to cruise but Senior Discovery Tours offers only Princess Cruises. We prefer Holland America or Celebrity cruise lines.”

There were a couple days that involved very long bus rides. One stop was a long way off then back to main road that could have been skipped. Another day included a long trip to Halong Bay that took us to a market on the way there then again the next day that should have been skipped. Given how busy each day was I the busy day I would have appreciated time at the end of each day to prep for dinner. Maybe an hour to shower, change clothes, and rest before dinner.”
