“Parkinson’s disease can be a bit of bummer ‘cos it can make your walking a bit funny, which may find a bloke looking for a bit more heel. Add in some weakness and the need for a shoe that doesn’t weigh a ton and the fact that I have two left hands and can’t manage laces, it can be a struggle finding a good shoe for a size 13(+) Mens. But it is not all bad news. The Shoe Garden stocks some women’s boots that a bit ‘menish’. And if I didn’t have Parkinson’s disease I wouldn’t have discovered that ray of sunshine, Carol. To any bloke who is in a similar pickle, don’t feel backward about looking at her website or shop-front dominated by pink and flowers. Carol was able to walk me through the maze of shoe sizes and was spot on with her assessment that the Fizzy (boot) was a ‘lovely shoe and very comfortable’.”

“This is my first time buying from the Shoe Garden and also my first time buying shoes online. I'm so happy with my experience! The Hush Puppy Spin shoes fit perfectly and are super comfy. “With a fairly narrow, foot narrow heels and very long toes as well as wearing a size 11 1/2; I have a hard time finding shoes. I’ve been in Australia for seven months and I’ve bought three pairs of shoes at Shoe Garden. Carol and her staff are very helpful, very kind and very patient. Anyone with a shoe size over 10 needs to shop there.”

“After seeing the Isabella Manhatton a while ago and not wanting to commit to another pair of boots as I live in the tropics... I saw them again on sale and just could not resist anymore! I sent a message enquiring about size and Carol responded very quickly, I ordered the boots and OMG are they gorgeous! I always hate how plain coloured shoes in large sizes make your foot look even bigger, so the row of studs on the nose of these just make them even better! They arrived packaged like an actual present with some lollies in the box, it feels like it's my birthday. Definitely makes a Monday a lot brighter!”

“Hi Carol, I took a bus ride recently from Brisbane to your lovely shop. I had never been to Brisbane before and being in my sixty’s and had a lifetime of looking for shoes to fit my size 11/12 feet only to be disappointed time after time. I wondered if it was worth the effort. What a lovely shop, you were so friendly and helpful. I prepare myself these days to walk back out of a shoe shop with nothing. Instead I purchased 2 lovely new pairs of shoes. You were even happy to post them for me as I was concerned about the weight on the flight home. My only disappointment is that I don’t live nearer. Thank you so much for your knowledge and friendly advice. I have been following you online since looking for my next purchase. Thanks Vivienne”

“I popped in to The Shoe Garden to buy a beautiful pair of pre-loved boots I’d seen on their website. After Carol told me about how she checks shoe sizing and how best to filter my online search, I was extremely confident in buying another pair of beautiful (new) boots online, which are a perfect fit! Having size 12 feet makes online shopping touch and go with fit, but The Shoe Garden has changed that for me! I am so grateful to have discovered such a great resource.”
