“Very nice oak handrail, prompt delivery. Only snag is that the brackets are difficult to adjust to the correct angle and they are too loose or too tight with the Allen key adjustment. This makes fitting tricky as once screwed in to the handrail you can't adjust the angle without taking bracket off the handrail and using the Allen key making the job difficult. Delivery OK but a day late and no advance notice of delivery time.”

“The handrail was necessary as my husband recently had a 4th stroke and needed to feel confident going up and down stairs the stairs . It enhanced the look of our stairs and home .”

“Very disappointed i ordered from the internet from a photo showing a darkish oak finished rail The rails that i have received are bare wood and unfinished I now have to prepare them, stain them and find a stain that is close to what i thought id ordered These rails are not cheap and i feel unhappy”

Hi Roy, Thank you for your review. These are the best quality Oak handrail on the market made from real solid certified oak. All the fittings are of the highest quality. The handrails on the website are stated that they are unfinished along with the photo saying that they are finished in Danish Oak. I am sorry you feel miss led but this certainly isnt the case. Hi Brian, Thank you for your review. All are handrails are handrail kits. Under the description of the page there are installation guides and everything is in the description. All our timber rails are sold like this as a lot of customers like to cut them down and do their own thing with them. We would have gladly assembled the rail for you had we have known. “Gotta be honest, I was a bit disappointed. The screws were way, way too long and couldn't be replaced with shorter ones of the same type. The screws that fix the rail to the fixings were silver, whereas all the rest of the fixings were copper. The rail was a little bent (Although not so much as when fixed to the wall, it straightened up) There was no centre hole predrilled at the ends to fix the end caps. I know it was walnut, but for nearly £300 I did kinda expect it to be perfect.”

Hi Craig, Thank you for your review. The screws to that fix to the wall have to be of a substantial length to meet the loadings, they do work with the plugs and look good when done. You shouldn't of had any stainless screws at all. We can get some sent out if that helps? In regards to the timber it is a natural product and although we only well the highest grade timber it can bow after being cut our end. Again we can replace this for you if needs be. We don't add the end caps as alot of carpenters who use us like to cut the rails on site. If you are struggling to align it centrally a rubber mallet can be used to square it up.
