“The packing movers started out very slow! The unpacking went great! My coffee table leg was broken and and old ironing board was broken in half! The unpacking guys were very nice and took extra care that my floors didn’t get scratches due to the plastic gliders were broken off most of the legs to my furniture! Packers were late 45 min to arrivel time! We had most of our things already down at the truck b4 they even got there!”

“Thank you so much for your expertise service and always being in contact before and during the move. I was impressed with the loading. The guys were very mythodical when packing and securing my items! Everything came intact! The unloading was just as professional, these guys are extremely coniencious in their handling and extra hard workers! I will recommend you in the future!”

“Clearly one of the guys was experienced but the other may have been recruited that morning. The more experienced guy was good but there was actually some damage and scrap marks on some of the furniture when I looked later on. And also there was a couple of occasions i had to help these guys as the experiwmced guy was able to hold up his end so to speak but the other guy was really quite a small slight guy that didn’t seem to have a lot of strength and I had to step in to lift and move things along. All in all I think your set is is ok but as long as you get two strong experienced guys doing the move. One of the guys was clearly a last minute replacement.”

“The coordinators were personable, quick, and attentive. The actual moving crew they found was quick and showed up early. The method that things were moved was not good. My stuff was pulled out of the truck and not immediately brought into the house. Various pieces of furniture were strewn around on the walk outside and then just left there and walked by. Wet leaves from the walk were stuck to the bottoms of a lot of the boxes and furniture that were sat outside before being brought in, so tracked through the house. I don't know why they didn't just bring stuff straight in, put down some plastic to protect the carpet, wear booties, something. I took the time to label EVERY box with the contents, and added a separate label that said which room each individual box needed to go to. These labels were completely ignored and everything was jumbled up everywhere and we had to re-move just about everything to the appropriate rooms after the movers moved stuff in. If I wanted to pick up and move every item myself, I wouldn't have paid for movers. Moving is emotionally exhausting as it is, and trying to make sense of how to arrange everything is mentally taxing, plus there's a million other things to arrange and take care of. I was hoping to catch a break on the physical side, but ended up having to sort through to find what every box was and lift and haul stuff around the house to where it was supposed to have gone anyway. Could have gone much better. I've never hired movers before, but I had higher expectations.”

“The loaders were awesome. I actually got to my new home on thanksgiving day and had to cancel the unload due to arriving early and SML was not available, but I lost my deposit. It is sad that SML was more interested in the $110 deposit versus having a life long customer and positive word of mouth..... with that said I will never be a customer again and will tell everyone in the airlines that I work for NOT to use SML. It could have been a positive experience, but it was not.”

“We had 30 plus quilts. The loading people only used a few quilts to protect the furniture and did not block it from rubbing against other household items. Both the washer and dryer had the porcelain finish rubbed off in two areas. An Ekornes accent table has green paint on it from the bed frame rubbing on it. Consequently the bedframe paint is rubbed off on one of the rails. The base of the dresser has wood broken off from moving it around in the truck after loading it. The truck was packed well. The loaders did a good job getting all of our household good loaded onto the truck. We just wish they had been more diligent in proteching some of the pieces with quilts.”
