“Original crew was going to be late so they sent a replacement crew that was just as late. Crew that finally showed up was terrible. Two hour estimated job took them 5 hours to complete. Front load washer that was in basement was dented on the back. They tried to carry it by hand and bumped it on every step until they finally took it back down and put it on a dolly and were finally able to get it up and out. The crew took 2 breaks one for a half hour and another for 15 minutes and then said they wouldn’t charge for a half hour since they were late.”

“We used SML to load our truck in Puyallup, WA, and they did a fantastic job loading it safely. When we arrived in Clive, IA, and opened the back of the truck, everything was still where they put it! To help us unload the truck, we used SML again. We had set the appointment for 2 helpers and when three showed up (at no charge to us for the extra man!) these gentlemen quickly, efficiently, and cleverly unloaded our truck and filled the storage unit we had rented while we hunt for a new house. Both experiences in two different locations really impressed us. SML is awesome! We are so grateful for all of their help and all of the gentlemen we dealt with were very polite, professional, kind, helpful, and incredibly efficient.”

“The movers were very nice. However, the entire process was very shady and I almost called in at one point to make sure these men actually worked for SML. First, I received a text that just said "hey" when the movers arrived. I asked "who is this?" And he replied with the name of a DIFFERENT moving company. I said I had a move setup through SML, not the company he said he was from, and he replied "I also do moves for SML." Was already nervous at this point. Another thing, both of the movers were deaf. This typically wouldn't be a problem except that I already had no idea if this was legitimate or if I was being scammed somehow, but now couldn't express my concern to the movers. On top of this, when the the first man arrived, we had to wait 5 minutes for the other mover to show up, and I had to repeatedly state I didn't want the clock to start until BOTH men were present. He still didn't understand and started unloading smaller things anyway. Luckily this didn't become a problem because we still stayed under budget. Then, when the gentleman presented me with the paperwork to sign, it looked like a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy, and it didn't appear to have any of my move information on it- Not my hourly rate, travel charge, anything, but I was expected to sign it. I did this blindly out of desperation but did NOT feel comfortable signing it, but didn't really have a choice as we had to have the move done right away. The only damage was that the man badly gouged the footboard of our bed. I didn't notice this until the following day. Overall, the men were extremely nice and efficient. I tipped them both. The real problem is the way SML has the moves organized.”

“Very professional, courteous, hardworking pair of strong young men. It costs money to use this service of course, but I feel you get what you pay for and the value was top quality. This is my fourth time using this service. Will be using again.”

“The packing of our truck was very bad, we bought the packing kit which had rope/shrink rape and tape, and also had 2 dozen blankets from the rental truck company and SML crew did not use any of them when loading the truck. As a result our goods shifted and dislodged on each other, no real damage accrued but made unloading difficult.”

“SML was great on both ends of our move from NC all the way North to CT. They were a little late so they adjusted their time to fit our two hour window and both groups of our movers were super nice and hardworking!”

“I ordered 2 movers for 8/31 between 11:30/12:30. Apparently something happened & 2 movers finally showed up at 3:00 PM. which put quite a stress on me bc my condo does not allow any moving after 5:00 PM. Which of course it ran over. Then when I got to MN and I ordered 2 movers to help unload, all I got was a complete run around and empty promises for two days. They kept telling me the movers weren’t answering their phones and promising they would call me back in a half hour, an hour, etc. never once did I get A call back starting from Thursday 9/6 to Friday 9/7. At 11;30 AM on Friday 9/7 I called a different co and last minute I was Able to procure 2 movers arriving within 2 hours. So needless to say, this 70 year old woman will never use your company again! Plus they were half the price of your company. I have Another Penske truck ordered for October but since i can’t count on anyone even showing up, i will not even order from you. You offer a service but you can’t deliver! Very poor way of running a business.”

“This is a professional outfit! They are recommended by Penske trucks and take things very seriously. They assign you an agent, mine was Robert, (highly recommended) and stay in communication with you from beginning to end. There prices are cheaper than you think. Highly recommended.”
