“Good for twilight conditions. Primarily for camping at night. Works in total darkness with an IR light. Best budget Night Vision for the price.”

“I probably would have given 5 stars except for the lack of accessories for mounting the camera on anything other than a tripod (no they don't supply that either). Many of the videos they show are of folks using them on firearms or head mounted for hands free operation. After contacting them they stated they do no sell accessories and could not provide any information for anyone that does. Other than that the camera itself is quite amazing and I would recommend this to anyone.”

“I"m the one that did the big IR light on the boat on They hull truth. Its a good bang for the buck at 3 or 4 hundred dollars but in pure dark conditions without a IR your on your own. With a small abundent light the camera works will still have not got it to connect to a tablet phone is all. need easier softwear so more tablets will upload. I bought two thinking I could upload it , it wouldn't. Its on the back burner for now.”

“I first learned of SiOnyx by walking by their booth and talking to their reps at Shot Show 2020. Color nightvision was something I became aware of recently. Being an owner of both night vision and thermal vision scopes, I figured I just HAD to try out the SiOnyx's Aurora. The low $399 price didn't hurt either. I've been experimenting with mine in different lighting conditions. Being a Boy Scout leader, my Troop often go camping in areas where it gets really dark and the foliage soaks up the light from our flashlights. What I really like about the color nightvision is I found it really enhances the power of my flashlight. By using the two together, I can see so much more in the dark, especially in the peripheral areas where the main beam of the light don't shine. Makes it safer and easier to avoid roots and tree branches when walking around in densely foliaged areas. The micro USB charge port means I can use the cell phone charging batteries to keep my Aurora topped off out in the field.”

“I'm very impressed with the units performance. Such an affordable sale price too. The unit is easy to drop, especially in a boat over the side. I think every unit should come with a neck lanyard. They are cheap, less than $2.00 if you buy bulk. Great insurance and good public relations.”

“Amazing Night Vision camera. I had previously purchased a competitor, the quality and detail of the SiOnyx was light years ahead of the best competition. I highly recommend SiOnyx to recreational boater for night vision. The crispness, sharp details, overall picture is amazing.”

“Awesome product. Especially considering the price. I'd say Gen2+ level. But with a camera function. This product it the single best alternative for the very expensive real thing. Tested and used it thoroughly. Simply amazing... And the new generation SiOnyx promises even to be even better. 100% score up till now. Not kidding.”

“The sionyx aurora action is an amazing NV and twilight viewer/camera. Considering competing NV equipment, this product is downright cheap. I just find it to be a lot of fun to use. The results are something you are just not going to get without spending a fortune on military grade hardware.”

“I've used it to record on Halloween night and it worked great. I've used it on the boat to see clearly on a fairly dark night. Used it for daytime recording and it's not bad, but it really does nighttime better than any other camera I have.”

“We purchased two types of SIOnyx, (one camera, and one sensor). After extensive experiments, we found SIOnyx indeed amazing, robust, easy to handle, presenting us impressive results. Currently, it is hard to imagine how we could conduct our experiments without them. For scientific application, would you increase the frame rate? Thanks”

“Great service and a well made product. I really like how it can be linked to a smartphone or tablet. However, I wish there was a way to get it to display a split-screen image so it could be used with a virtual reality headset.”
