“I bought 5 fans total and all of them are totally awesome! I've seen reviews complaining about the instructions but I don't know what they are talking about these fans were so easy to install and set up to my network it's hard to believe people had trouble??? They are very quiet the lights are very bright and dimmable and no wobble out of the box no balancing needed! Would I purchase again? YUP! I've got a house full of them and not one regret in my purchase!”

“Sleek modern product that was a lot less than traditional AC motor fans. They are silent running, easy to put together and hang on the ceiling. Much easier than traditional AC powered fans. Links to Alexa easily but still have the remote to use if you wish. All of that works very well. The motor does give of a few clicks when it starts but after a few seconds is silent. Good quality fans with a modern look.”

“I reluctantly ordered this wifi ceiling fan switch because the advertising said: "not for remote-controlled ceiling fans". My 18-year-old, "remote-controlled" ceiling fan is on a 20 ft ceiling and not easily replaced. With a little experimenting, I wired in the SmaFan switch. The fan now works fine with the switch and the phone application! I can even access all 3 speeds. The only issue I have is that the fan-light only works with the original remote switch ...which I never use the light anyway. The reason I marked it 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the instructions for wifi-connectivity were a bit unclear and it took me a while to connect. the switch connected to Bluetooth, though, without a problem. It even now works with Alexa! (For those interested, I discovered I had to have the fan set at full-speed with the original remote before wiring in the new switch.)”

Hi Kenneth, Thank you for your detailed feedback! May I know which fan model do you have? We only saw you have purchased the wall switch on our store. Ultimately, as for the fan models in our store, you don't need to have the fan set at full speed before wiring in the new switch. You can give us the model name and we can assist you further. When you pair the switch, follow the steps and you can connect the wifi easily: Step 1-choose"Add manually" and add the smart switch. Step 2-"select 2.4 GHz wifi network in your house".Step 3-kindly wait for a few seconds to scan the devices. Then the switch will be added successfully and you can use and enjoy it! If we make you confused, just feel free to reach out to us!

“These fans are attractive. The only reason I am giving them 3 stars is that the screws that come with the fans don’t fit a junction box. I had to buy special nuts so I could use screws that fit the junction box and still attach the fan to the ceiling. I should not have had to do this, the fan should come with screws that work with a junction box.”

If you install the fan on a wooden ceiling, we have four screws that can be used to lock the holes of the bracket. But as for the junction/outlet box, the fan should be installed on the outlet box with the screws matching the outlet box itself. Many of our customers have different outlet boxes installed in their houses and the screws are attached to the outlet boxes too. We have a warning note on the bracket to state about the outlet box like the other companies do. Think you might miss it? No worries, we are always here to assist further. “I didn't know anything about this company but I found them in my search to replace my 2 old ceiling fans from early 2000s. Most fans I came across were either ugly or very expensive, but Smafan had a lot of nice designs and the price was right. I ended up with a single Icebreaker Outdoor 60'' Smart Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit. I needed an electrician to install with scaffolding but I've seen the instructions and it's pretty easy DIY if you can reach your ceiling and have 1 person to help. The fan operates very quiet even on max speed and moves a lot of air and the light is both dimmable and color temperature adjustable among some other nice features. The only tricky part was connecting to the app, it requires you to switch your phone's wifi connection to 2.5G then pair, then you can switch back to whatever network you use. I've never used another smart device that requires that so it's a bit strange, but if you follow the instructions it's clear. Also there is no beeping sound to notify you it is in pairing mode as written in the instructions, only a red light (maybe my model does not have?). This connected to my Google Home Assistant with no issues. Anyways I'm not going to remove a star for the app pairing as it did not affect my satisfaction with the product, but if there were something improve about this product I would look at that. I am considering buying a few pendant lights they offer as well.”

“The fans we ordered are great looking. We had some issues with the motors making a knocking sound. The company quickly sent us replacement motors that fixed the problem. We are very pleased with these fans.”

“Overall, the fan is aesthetically pleasing, but it doesn't integrate with our google home infrastructure very well. It squeaks a lot while spinning and is just very loud. Not a super smart fan.”

“Called looking for a fan with a slower speed than I had found thus far. The rep said he will research the question and get back to me. It took a day or two but he sent email with a recommended fan. I ordered two of them as they were on sale, and am very happy with the result.”
