They should inform everyone that there are NO REFUNDS. You don’t find out until you get a lemon and have to go through the hassle of getting warranty work done from people you didn’t purchase it from. I never received the hardware for the repower kit. But they did call back and communicate some. Great experience NOT!

Mr. Reichenberger, You did purchase this kit online, where our return policy is also posted at the bottom of every single page: https://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/returns/ which does state that items that have been used are not eligible to be returned and they must follow the manufacturer's warranty policy. This is the link to the item that you purchased online: https://www.smallenginewarehouse.com/49t877-jd-f725-r5?searchid=518934 as you can see it does state that it has a 2-Year Manufacturer's Warranty through Briggs & Stratton. The warranty would be through the maker of the engine, not us. Just like if you were to purchase a vehicle, the warranty is through the maker of that vehicle, not where the vehicle was purchased. Lastly about the hardware for the engine, when you called in for assistance, you had already installed the engine. However, if you are referencing the mounting bolts, most new engines do not come with those included, rather, you are to reuse the ones from your old engine that you are replacing. I hope this clears up some of the confusion you may have in believing that we were not helpful to you or that you received a lemon and that we weren't following the correct protocol in assisting you. When ordering a part for the motor I had bought a few years earlier I had received an email with a quote. When I responded to the ordered I received a 2nd email with a different shipping charge. I responded the the email asking for the first quoted pricing with no response. A week later I called to find out why I haven't received the part or an email with a tracking number. The response was that the order was canceled. I was not pleased. The person on the phone had straightened the problem out accept for the fact I was still charged the wrong amount for shipping. I will not accept the fact that I was quoted I price and billed for another. This is not acceptable.

I placed the order the salesperson was very helpful. I received the engine installed it on my log splitter filled with oil went to fill it with gas of course I was doing this in my garage come to find out the gas line was not installed properly so I had a tank of gas all over my garage for I set a email to the salesperson I received an email several days later that they opened a claim have not heard back I look very lucky that I didn't burn my house down

Thank u Robin Mandy very difficult to reach u all e mails sent back creating work for me is not appropriate as my time is valued also could not text u so for the box picture waste of my time also drove 2 hrs to find out dealer will not do warranty work

The sales service was great and delivery was great. But since I had to replace the brand new starter upon installation and it still won’t start unless ether is sprayed in the air cleaner only to shu off as soon as ether is gone and been waiting 6 days for technician to get with me I am very disappointed and a little angry. I shouldn’t have to work on a brand new engine I spent over$2500 on

I chose SEW because of their Customer service reviews. I now give a 2-star rating because of their lack of customer service. The engine came in 1 day and had great promise. As I went thru the kit there were parts wrong and or missing. I called customer service, talked to Robin, She created a ticket, and asked for pictures (which I sent that night). I heard absolutely nothing else from SEW until this request for a review. I sent 10 emails over 9 days and received NO RESPONSES! Ended up buying the missing parts from Amazon and engineering my own fixes. Not what I expected.

Engine was advertised as new. Engine mounting points were bored smooth; needing to be tapped. However you can see where there were grooves for bolts. Looks like mounts were modified. Am I missing something? Large Sticker missing from engine cover. Paint is falling off on sides and worn off from bottom. Was there supposed to be paperwork sent with motor? I did not receive anything, not even warranty information. Also, the ling to the operations manual on my digital receipt does not work. Manual has been removed.

Received engine damaged, no damage to shipping box, air filter assembly bent, air filter missing cover. Company requested a lot of pictures, approx. 10, easier for me to buy one myself.

Great price and great delivery. However the when starting the engine it ran away like it was going to blow up. Shut it down immediately! Contacted the company. I hope they will do right by .e so I can write a positive review!

New Kohler engine installed and will not start. Examination revealed no spark due to pistons not moving. Additional phone calks to be made to Small Engine Warehouse and Kohler Engines on 07/01/24. Additional issues were noted with SEW not aware of tracking or shipping company.

I bought a brand new briggs and Stratton 25 hp for my mower and I needed it very quickly so as soon as it showed up I installed it and it ran very poorly it had weak spark on one side due to a faulty coil and when I notified them of it they suggested I take it to a shop 2.5 hours away to get it diagnosed instead of sending parts I needed I ended up spending another 80 dollars on a new coil. not so impressive service people

Not impressed. Not a great kit. I had to make spacers for the rear engine mounts, and the spacer provided for the PTO tensioner pulley needed to be shortened alittle. It only came with 1 of the 2 PTO belts, I have email SEW twice about getting the second belt, with no response- just bought the belt from tractor supply 👎. This is a very simple engine swap and should be a direct bolt in, but it wasn't. The Briggs engine does run really nice, hopefully it lasts a long time.

I’m sure the engine works, but I haven’t received it yet. I filed a claim with both UPS and SEW with zero reply from either after 4 business days. I’ve attached a photo of my new engine NOT sitting at my door.
