“The tour schedule and places we visited was well organized and our driver / tour guide Pat Curran was fantastic. A great historian and story teller and an accent that "American's" could understand. We went in mid October and the crowds were light, weather was a mix of everything. We highly recommend this tour.”

“We had the best trip with Smartours. It was very well organized and it was effortless for us. Our tour guide was fantastic and made any slight problem disappear. The hotels were lovely and the staff at each hotel were attentive to our needs. The China itinerary was perfect, we went to all of the cities tht we want to see. We loved seeing authentic Bejiing as it used to be, and having a meal in someones house. The cruise down the Yangzee River was wonderful. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful mountains and farm land. We can't wait to take another Smartour and have been recommending Smartours to all of our friends.”

“My wife and I went to Spain. Charles was our guide, and he was very good. There was a woman on the tour who was a "handful" (getting lost, not staying with the group, etc.). Charles was incredibly patient with her and tried very hard to not let her antics affect the rest of the tour people. Spain in September was beautiful!”

“Guide in Bucharest was I’ll prepared. Had trouble tracking her down when we arrived at hotel on our own. She left no info about when and where to meet next day”

“Tis was the trip of a lifetime. The tour director, local guides, the accommodations, itinerary, transportation arrangements were all magnificent. Our guide made even usual travel procedures like check in seamless. She was very sensitive to the needs of the group and individuals and so knowledgeable!”

“The worst tour company ever. I spoke to Ms McKeon of your office who was dismissive and rude. When I spoke to her about an insurance claim she hung up on me in mid sentence I wrote to the CEO and never got a response.”

“wonderful tour, Granville Lee-Warner our tour guide for most of the tour was the very best tour guide We have ever had. We have been on at least ten smartours tours over the years, and he was the very best tour guide. Greece was an unexpected jewel of a tour.”

“I was so disappointed in this tour to India and Nepal. I learned nothing about India, other than there was a caste system, arranged marriage and lots of beggars aka friends, day guides had such accents it was hard understanding them. So disappointing!”

“Please the stop in Vienna and Frankfurt were awful, only use El AL NOT Austrian/Lufthansa. The security backup, patdowns and rude security people was horrendous; plus the added time in air and airports. Otherwise, tour was great, guide very informative and helpful. I was told Elat was sold out and went on a waiting list,; turns out there was room, and I WAS NOT called.”

“This was the trip of our lifetime thanks to having a wonderful guide in Ron McGregor whose knowledge of South Africa and his marvelous stories enhanced our travel. Our hotels and safari arrangements were also first class and we had great experiences on every leg of our journey. Victoria Falls was a highlight despite huge crowds getting into and out of customs. Our tour to Chobe National Park was the best in regard to animal viewing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with a desire to see the wild animals in their natural habitat but also to experience the wonders of South Africa and its diverse people.”

“Tour guide was outstanding! Hotels were outstanding! Food was not very good on dinners provided but breakfasts were very good. Hours for accessing tours were not acceptable--1:00 a.m. wake-up call for one tour, bags out at 4:30 a.m. a few times. Everyone was tired; around 60% of the people were sick.”

“Great hotels. All flights on time. Generally good guides throughout trip. It would have helped to get the detailed itinerary and flight information much sooner. And the scheduling of some tours immediately upon arrival and after long flights was not ideal. But in general I thought SmarTours did a great job.”

“I have traveled with Smartours before and was unhappy with a few things this time. First of all there was no help with the flights when we required advanced seating due to disability. Neither Smartours nor British Air would help us. Even though we are a group, we should be able to get assigned seats beforehand even if we have to pay extra. We were unable to do any of that. Also our guide who was informative and very nice, was not like most guides. He did not stay around to see if we got to our rooms okay upon check in and was therefore not there if we had a problem. He also walked very quickly without checking if he had lost anyone behind him and he disappeared often when we had a local guide. This was very unusual and not what I am accustomed to. The hotels were ok although especially in Dubrovnik, not a all centrally located. The first or second hotel had horrible toilet paper and no AC and not a great breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour however because the countries of Croatia/ Slovenia waere beautiful and the people on the tour were great so despite some inconveniences, we still had a wonderful time. Plus we lucked out with the weather. I do think after the park with the waterfalls and lakes, we should have been picked up and taken back to our hotel as walking 200 steps up after a full afternoon of walking was very difficult for many people.”

“Rhine cruise on the Crucevita was excellent in all respects. Itinerary was perfect with excellent selection of shore stops including Heidelberg. Food and services was exceptional. Cost was low for quality of the trip.”
