“Greece is similar to Mexico, economy wise. Lots of ancient history and nice scenery. Hotels were probably on average 2 stars rating. Santorini tour should have been included, not extra.”

“Because our initial flight was rescheduled to depart from a different NYC area airport our trip started on the wrong foot. Missing the connection in London added to the aggravation.But, upon finally arriving in Zagreb the trip became a wonderful experience. We visited some amazing places, stayed in top notch hotels, and were accompanied by informative tour guides. The bus ride between destinations was never longer than 2 hours and we were given enough free time to explore on our own.”

“The communication from the corporate office was WAY TOO late in arriving prior to our departure (less than two weeks). No one could (or would) answer questions about travel arrangements prior to the trip. We were not clearly communicated with that the bus days would 10 to 12 hours on a bus for a 3 hour or less trip. The hotels were not conveniently located near the city centers or near preferred areas. The hotels were nice, just not very conveniently located. Our tour guide was great, but the organization by the SmarTours corporate office was terrible. Won't be taking another trip with Smartours. We bailed and rented a car rather than ride the bus. We were not expecting mandatory seat rotations on the bus trip, I now understand that is customary for bus trips.”

“We had a great time. Our tour manager, Grandville Lee Warner was excellent. I would have liked a little slower pace so a longer trip with more time at each destination. Also, include meteora.”

“Superb accommodations, knowledgeable and caring guides. UT in Vietnam was especially concerned for our well being, providing free water and cooling wet wipes as well as Vietnamese candies just because. Our Cambodian guide was also very knowledgeable and had a steady temperament even in the face of impolite and arrogant remarks about his country and its troubled past by one ugly American tourist on our tour. I admired how he handled this oaf by just detailing the harsh realities he had to deal with as a child in Cambodia during its war torn years to survive, We have now taken about 8 trips in the last 3 years and one more planned for this year and our only issues have been the rude, insensitive and unappreciative American tourists who travel with smartours. If you can afford the trip you certainly can afford to tip the guide, the bus driver and others who serve us so well and make or trips educational, comfortable and safe!”

“All aspects related with SmarTours services were quite good, some improvement could be done in choosing a better hotel in Jaipur, the hotel itself was not bad but the neighborhood did not invited at all to have a walk. The most import issue was the guide we had, Jasvir SAURANA (a) Jessie, this tour guide made forgive whichever matter could appear for his excellent service and complete disposition to help each of us in the tour. He had several histories about different places we visited and giving us more information than we could expect. We appreciate very much his profesional job. Please give him our special acknowledgement to him. Thank You very much for this amazing tour to India and for the guide you assigned to Us.”

“One of the best tours I have taken / well organized/our tour guide must have a PHD on Egyptian culture/ there wasn’t a question she could not answer. The Marriott hotel bed was the best I’ve slept in & I wasn’t the only one that mentioned that it was several of us. It was a great trip from start to finish.”

“The trip, hotels, meals, drivers & our guide Lee Bo (Oscar) were all fantastic. Oscar was knowledgeable, concerned about everyone & had people everywhere we went to get us to the front of every line... no waiting. We've been on a few Smart Tours trips now, and they've all been great.”

“The air itinerary going to Croatia was terrible, multiple stops. I will never let Smartours schedule my air travel again. Tour was very good, great bus and driver. Tour guide was knowledgeable but was not very nice to many of us. Hotels were good as was itinerary. Small group was very good. I don't like dealing with your staff in New York. They don't follow up when you ask them questions--”

“Tour was excellent and Ron is outstanding as a guide. It exceeded our expectations. Hotels were good. Having to go to JFK was awful when connections are available out of Orlando. I hope to never have to go any where near Johannesburg Airport ever again. Moving us from gate to gate just because it is policy is absurd. Given luggage size for a carryon did not apply to our tour and was a real handicap.”

“It was our 3rd trip with Smartours. Previously South Africa , Machu Picchu and the Galapagos islands, all excellent. Our Guide UT was fantastic. Took pictures of the group everyday and uploaded them to lour smart phones. Extremely knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. The itinerary was well thought out and spaced properly. The hotels were all 4 & 5*'s. We have booked 2 more tours, Egypt & Morocco.”

“The tour to Greece was very good but, totally exhausting. We had very little free time, constantly on the move. Both tour guides were great(Granville and Nina). The cruise ship was a horror. Breakfast was good, lunch and dinner, NO Thank YOU!!! I came home sick with bronchitis and several people I traveled with were also sick. The boat did not offer enough hand sanitizers which is why I believe I am sick. You need to find another cruise ship line,this boat was disgraceful.”
