“As always the trip was very good. Only thing I didn't like was very dark rooms in the desert areas. Plus DANGEROUS SHOWERS in steep bathtubs with no rubber mat to keep from slipping.”

“Good value, good guides, good places, good hotels; good services re checkin for hotels and site visits Poor food; poor service and unclear directions from New York office. Nightmare dealing with Eastern China Air for reservations which need to be pre-arranges before days of flight Need to more accurately describe physical challenges of this trip”

“This was an excellent experience with a great variety of activities. The primary plus was the quality of the people who facilitated our tour: special kudos to Mr. Fernando Cottas Bordallo, our tour director who was wonderfully helpful and always organized; Nusa, our guide at Iguazu Falls, so knowledgeable and always on the spot when needed; and Paul in Santiago, very friendly and communicative. The pace of the trip was also enjoyable, as we were not rushed through experiences, thanks to the careful attention to detail. Very nice accommodations; the Sofitel Hotel in Buenos Aires was really well located within walking distance of the famous cemetery and the most interesting museums. The optional tours were a good value, especially the Petropolis excursion. A quick word to travelers: many internal flights, all of which went smoothly except for a cancelled flight in Sao Paulo, obviously not the fault of SmarTours. However, it was a good thing we were seasoned travelers and were able to maneuver ticket changes in an airport in which Portuguese was the primary language spoken. Leave yourself plenty of me if you are attempting to navigate the airport there. Many more pluses than minuses; fun trip which requires some stamina but you'll have a great time and see beauties beyond your imagination.”

“Our guides, Oscar, David, and Allie were amazing!! Loved all of the sites we went to. Everything was very well planned and organized!! I would definitely travel with SmarTours again! The trip was amazing for the price!!”

“Phenomenal accommodations. The tour guide for Krueger National Park seemed a bit unorganized and didn’t do a good job of reading the client. He was very nice but talked too much.”

“Our tour guides made the tour The Four Star hotel is a lemon. Please find a hotel in town. Much excitement and more to see in Havana. A museum, Temple, and landmark buildings should be considered Toooooo much travel on the bus. The choices of restaurants should also be reevaluated.”

“We both found the tour as well as all of the guides very informative and personable. Harry Sun was THE BEST!!! We did have a small problem on our return to the US. The flight coming from HK to Shanghai was a little late and we missed the connection. The airline put us all (8) up in a hotel and flew us out the next day. Other than that, everything was perfect.”

“It was a wonderful experience, excellent guides and a well organized tour. The group was small -19 great people. The hotels were elegant, food good and China a fascinating place to visit..Only one big error...our last flight allowed only one hour to land and go through customs and get to connecting gate...unfortunately the plane was delayed so we missed our home flight to JFK and on our flight to Boston we were charged a hefty amount because we missed that connection too..So far i have not been contacted by smartours to take care of the problem...as soon as they do I will give this tour group top rating because they did everything else so well”

“First time with Smartours. The schedule was very hectic. Didn’t like the 2 am wake up calls. Not much free time. Other tour companies include soft drinks with their meals. Felt it was not very organized.”

“Everthing was EXCELLENT..Tour Director Fernando, all local guides, drivers, hotels, accomodations, dinner, schedules, sites.. I would have rated it “very good” except that our flight from Sao Paolo to Miami got cancelled. Our grp was helpless, nobody spoke portuguese. It is a good thing my husband & I stayed at the airport til next morning for the flight. The next day I was told by the grp that the hotel ( Monaco )was not even a 1 star. SUGGESTION- there shld have been a representative at Sao Paolo for assistance, because , I think, technincally, the tour wasn’t over til we got to Miami.”

“Loved the tour guide and hotels . I did not like 3 am wake up calls for 5 am flights. The flights should be later as you are so tired that you cannot enjoy the tours. It is very well organized and I learned and saw so much,”

“Everything went as promised, not one hiccup. Our tour guides were very good and Charles who met us for the Kruger safari really went out of his way to make everyone feel special. Was a great trip and so happy we were able to see South Africa.”

“We had a wonderful time with the smart tours Vietnam trip. Our tour guide was phenomenal!! The Itinerary was well thought out and executed. Overall very pleased would like to make one suggestion about Ha Long Bay... Maybe offer an overnight stay on a boat in the bay instead of a hotel.”

“Our guide Ron McGregor was excellent, organized and extremely knowledgeable in all aspects, The hotels in Capetown and Johannesburg were below our expectations. the hotel in Swaziland was awful. The lodges in Zululand and Kruger park were quite acceptable, we would suggest to increase the cost to upgrade the accommodations because the rest of the trip was most enjoyable and well planned.”
