“The tour was very busy and we saw a lot. There were quite a few dinners included which we liked. Our tour guide was ok but he did not post our itinerary in the hotels, nor did he see to it that we all knew what was going on. Sometimes we couldn't hear him in the bus. That was a little frustrating. But overall, the tour was "a lot of bang for the buck".”

“The trip to Classic Russia was a very special tour. SmarTours did a wonderful job in trip which included St. Petersburg, Moscow and two villages in the Golden Ring, Vladmir & Suzdal. The guides were excellent and the day trips very interesting and enlightening. The accomodations were good and the meals very satisfactory. I would highly recommend this tour of Russia to anyone who is interested in exploring the fascinating country. Kudos to SmarTours for an excellent job . Spasibo!”

“I have been on 3 tours with smarTours and each has been fantastic! Each has been balanced with planned tour time and free time to roam on our own. The hotels are top of the line in every country the tour went, with comfortable rooms, good restaurant choices within or nearby and SAFE. I have traveled to Ireland, Italy and South Africa with knowledgeable guides, who are locals that are passionate about showing us their country. Well worth the journeys.”

“My tour guides were both excellent, caring, and engaged; both projected genuine enthusiasm about the sites, as well as interest in the vacationers on their tour. Both took extra steps to ensure (as much as possible) that everyone had a fulfilling tour. During the cruise portion of the tour, our tour guide went out of his way to make it possible for my family and I to see a site which we'd thought was included on the tour, but which wasn't (though he first ensured that we could do so without any danger of getting separated from the group). During the land tour, we had a highly knowledgeable and professional guide who took a personal interest in each member of the tour, and was able to answer far-ranging and sometimes obscure questions. (I was hesitant to answer this survey, because I generally do not respond when I'm specifically asked to give a positive review -- rather than an honest review -- but because I was so grateful for the effort our guides made, I decided to do so.)”

“This was an excellent tour. Especially because the tour guide Suzie Sue was top notch. She was very accommodating and enthusiastic and really made the tour special. Also, the accommodations, as usual, are very satisfying. I have come to expect nothing but the best and am not disappointed. Good job Smartours!”

“Very good. Wonderful tour guide (Elvis) with encyclopedic knowledge of the complicated history of that area. He has a great sense of humor, is patient and a great asset to Smartours. Local tours and tour guides were excellent. American Airlines flight from Prague to Philadelphia was the worst flight I have ever been on. Nothing worked, food was terrible. Flight crew did the best they could.”

“We recently completed the Portugal tour with Romina. She provided an interesting, fun filled tour and excellent restaurant and free time suggestions. Our drivers were very competent, the hotels were well situated in each city from Porto to Lisbon. Again smartours provided us with an excellent travel experience.”

“Spain in June 2019. Good choices of sites, well planned. Hotels for the most part offered excellent services. Very knowledgeable tour guide (David) and willing to go out of his way help participants plan their free time. Thank you!”

“The trip to Portugal was marred by a chaotic scene at Lisbon Airport where we arrived with no possibility of making our connecting flight, and with no personnel from SmarTours to assist or reassure us. While the trip was reasonably good, it was further dampened by the huge number of tourists we encountered wherever we went. This, of course, is not the fault of SmarTours. We did see some interesting scenery, and learned some history, but we never got the "foreign" flavor we had anticipated. The "farewell dinner" which took place at an obvious Lisbon "tourist trap" featured mediocre food and uninspired entertainment--again surrounded by a throng of tourists. The fact that we were left on our own for most meals meant that we did not get to enjoy the fabled Portuguese cuisine.”

“I missed the first day of the tour due to plane mechanical problems and the weather delaying the second plane. SmarTour staff were very helpful in assisting in catching up with the tour. The tour itself was fantastic-I very much enjoyed our leader and the folks on the trip-20 total and saw more than I could have scheduled myself. There was plenty of leisure time. I would definitely travel again with SmarTours-lots of bang for your buck!”

“A good value! On every tour I've been on, we've seen a great deal. The guides have been informative and personable. For the most part, the hotels have been centrally located and the accommodations good. I always recommend Smartours to people when discussing trips.”

“Great trip to Greece, the excursions were phenomenal. I just think more thought need to put into traveling families so they can be seated together on a long flight. I also informed Smartours about my daughter's vegan option when I booked and no accommodations were made on this long flight. When I called Emirates they told me they needed at least 48 hours notice. However, I wont allow that to take away from my exceptional trip.”
