“Excellent trip with sensational sights. The guide Khalid was great Very hectic trip. Negative: NO TIME FOR SHOPPING. The tour should have time for shopping at most of stops but instead only had one shopping stop on the last day. Tourists expect time for shopping.”

“My husband, sister in law and myself did the best of Italy this past September. Nice hotels. Delicious food and gelato. Our guide Mossimo was great. All of the other guides we hooked up with were amazing. I was floored with the amount of knowledge our guides had. You can see, hear and feel the passion in what they do. We had very friendly people in our group and beautiful weather everyday. I was sorry it had to end. I highly recommend this trip and hope you have the same experience we did.”

“I absolutely loved my Smart Tour guides. Our guide, Granville was so knowledgeable, protective, kind and just wonderful. He was attentive to everyone in the group. Every recommendation he made was great from the food to areas to shop. We all wanted him to continue with us after we left Athens. There were many tears when he left us. If I were to return to Greece I would want him again. Our next guide was great as well. She was knowledgeable and personable. She gave great recommendation as well.”

“I enjoyed the trip and the wonderful people I met along the way. This was my first trip with Smartours and it will not be the last. Hotels were wonderful, tour guides excellent, and Spain is beautiful. I look forward to my next trip with Smartours.”

“I had a great experience but there are a couple of things that I wasn’t happy with. The guide was great, the itinerary good. The meals were disappointing, only mediocre. And my main complaint was that the cost of the tour is very misleading. I much prefer that Smartours pay the guides and give us an honest cost for the tour. The tip system stinks. It is deceptive and requires us to carry money on the trip that we don’t want to carry. You have excellent guides and they deserve an excellent salary. It should not be our job to pay them. Increase the tour cost by a couple hundred dollars and pay them! I have done 5 tours with you and this is my only reason I may not do more.”

“Very good and well informed guide, Inas Hassan. Much crammed into few days. Only complaint is amount of time spent at airports and on flights, but I guess without those it would be much longer tour.”

“The tour schedule and places we visited was well organized and our driver / tour guide Pat Curran was fantastic. A great historian and story teller and an accent that "American's" could understand. We went in mid October and the crowds were light, weather was a mix of everything. We highly recommend this tour.”

“We had the best trip with Smartours. It was very well organized and it was effortless for us. Our tour guide was fantastic and made any slight problem disappear. The hotels were lovely and the staff at each hotel were attentive to our needs. The China itinerary was perfect, we went to all of the cities tht we want to see. We loved seeing authentic Bejiing as it used to be, and having a meal in someones house. The cruise down the Yangzee River was wonderful. We enjoyed seeing the beautiful mountains and farm land. We can't wait to take another Smartour and have been recommending Smartours to all of our friends.”

“My wife and I went to Spain. Charles was our guide, and he was very good. There was a woman on the tour who was a "handful" (getting lost, not staying with the group, etc.). Charles was incredibly patient with her and tried very hard to not let her antics affect the rest of the tour people. Spain in September was beautiful!”

“Tis was the trip of a lifetime. The tour director, local guides, the accommodations, itinerary, transportation arrangements were all magnificent. Our guide made even usual travel procedures like check in seamless. She was very sensitive to the needs of the group and individuals and so knowledgeable!”

“wonderful tour, Granville Lee-Warner our tour guide for most of the tour was the very best tour guide We have ever had. We have been on at least ten smartours tours over the years, and he was the very best tour guide. Greece was an unexpected jewel of a tour.”

“Please the stop in Vienna and Frankfurt were awful, only use El AL NOT Austrian/Lufthansa. The security backup, patdowns and rude security people was horrendous; plus the added time in air and airports. Otherwise, tour was great, guide very informative and helpful. I was told Elat was sold out and went on a waiting list,; turns out there was room, and I WAS NOT called.”

“This was the trip of our lifetime thanks to having a wonderful guide in Ron McGregor whose knowledge of South Africa and his marvelous stories enhanced our travel. Our hotels and safari arrangements were also first class and we had great experiences on every leg of our journey. Victoria Falls was a highlight despite huge crowds getting into and out of customs. Our tour to Chobe National Park was the best in regard to animal viewing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone with a desire to see the wild animals in their natural habitat but also to experience the wonders of South Africa and its diverse people.”
