I felt rushed to pick my glasses frame after an eye test . The staff stand with you going through lots ,without explaining cost or if designer or not . You are faced with a wall of glasses . I like to take my time and choose ,not listening to the staff sighing cause you don’t pick the first pair. I’m elderly with bad back and hate to be rushed . Then the glasses not correct better without them . The distance ones are out of focus . But trying to tell them impossible. . They just don’t listen and when you are elderly it’s like they think we are idiots . I went back eventually retest but palmed of with ( you will get used to them ) . So now what do I do . But one thing is for sure ,I won’t be going back to Specsave Boston Lincs again . Easier and cheaper to buy those £3 off the shelf ones that most big stores sell . Not happy , more with the sighing staff like they can’t be bothered and want you gone . Never again .

I had an appointment 8/6/24. Parking was quite bad had to park a bit further out. Got to my appointment 5 mins late. I then waited a further 5 minutes to be noticed by the staff, only then to be told o was ten minutes late late and they had already started the next appointment. I feat they were 🤥 lying. Hence on my next appointment I will be just as predantic with them.

There glasses are not good quality they don’t bend the glasses to your head so they always fall off and break every single pair I’ve had has did this I’ve always ended up with one arm of the glasses off an one arm on

Can you tell me why it can costs more to put new lenses in my glasses (which I bought from Specsavers) than it does to buy exactly the same frame and lenses with a slight change to the prescription? I have ordered the same frame that I wear now with the same varifocal lenses with the prescription changed SLIGHTLY in my right eye and it still cost me £240, when I already have exactly the same glasses on my face. (2 week delivery for my old, new ones). Sounds like a con to me !!!!

I Recently returned to specsavers against my better judgement only because I couldn't find the frames I liked anywhere else. I was I had the eye test in my local branch during which I expressed the necessity to see more clearly when doing fine craft work, preparing Vegetables, reading and using a computer screen.. all of which are at 'arms length' and not up close. On the day of the test, a member of staff (on the front desk) was very rude and unprofessional towards another member of staff whilst she was trying to help me. She was clearly embarrassed and I was very cross. Then, rude 'AGAIN' during THE SAME VISIT!.. Yesterday I returned to have the fitting of the not so cheap glasses and immediately was concerned that the clarity of vision was good up close, but not at arms length as requested. Also whilst trying on the second pair, I realized the first pair were wonky when placed on the table. I expressed both my concerns and the assistant left me to speak to the manager. Unfortunately for them both I was able to hear quite clearly the conversation which was right behind me and was insulted by their remarks. I quote "what's the matter with her? What's her problem this time?) how rude! The answers were bizarre! I was reminded too that bifocals were on offer ? The manager and staff need some serious customer service training I believe. And don't keep offering to Bend a brand new pair of frames back into shape! If they are substandard. Then take it up with the company.. and not convince the public 'they' are in the wrong for daing to question a product or service! A second pair of the same frames were collected, and It was discovered that the same wonky problem was with those too. Considering how expensive the frames are I feel the quality is not 100%. In the end, I was getting nowhere with my concerns as the onis was clearly put back on me and staff were unable to provide a satisfactory resolution, I felt a temporary compromise was is in order. I will not go back to the Folkestone store and may take my money to another retailer.

I went to Specsavers Nuneaton to see if my glasses would be ready for today . The nice lad said yes , there here just need putting together.so they will be ready tomorrow. I've then had a text message saying your glasses arnt here yet so they will let me know. I know this is a lie. So I've gone down there today and asked them to explain the text. Then he said that the lenses are damaged and they are waiting new one s again. So now I still have no glasses which I desperately need. And they don't know what day I can get them now . So great thanks Specsavers. Not impressed 😡

Went to Wakefield waited 20 minutes for my appt eye check. Optician great but then left standing there to pay, buy eyebrows and get measured for first glasses, so in the end I bought glasses from somewhere else

After deciding to go elsewhere for my glasses I'm so glad I did. No more packed waiting rooms...appointments running late...cheaper glasses with scratch resistant included. Won't be using specsavers anymore.

I have ordered glasses from Bognor, chichester , and now Havant specsavers. Each time, the glasses had to be redone, as they got the prescription wrong. They done them for reading, instead of intermediate, which was for laptop use! At the Havant store, i got the optician to measure the distance for laptop use, then asked the girl doing the forms 3 times, are you putting the prescription for laptop use at 1.50 on the bifocal? She said yes it is. Went to pick them up yesterday, and they were wrong, and set for reading....again!! So i have to wait another two weeks for them to be redone! The present optician spoke to me like i had made the mistake, when i couldn't have been any clearer, and asked the previous lady 3 times to make sure they were set at intermediate, which i told him! They must waste so much money having to redo the lenses! I dont think i will bother going to them again, as all 3 stores got it wrong!

Have found specsavers in Bolton and Bury very good over the years; less so more recently. There are often long waits, some opticians who reluctantly discuss any problems or concerns, and now feels more like a conveyor belt. After cataract operations with problems with both eyes for weeks/months afterwards, I had to return to Specsavers. The first occasion the staff provided excellent service. Later the sight in one eye, although still very good for long distance, had deteriorated for the near distance - people in the same room, pictures on walls etc. My reading glasses were great and recently purchased. The problem was discussed and I was told that suitable lenses would help, so glasses ordered. On returning to collect glasses, they were incorrect - they were reading glasses. The member of staff said incorrect lenses had been ordered. Returned - long, inconvenient journey - for correct glasses. I was asked if the fitting had been okay previously and that was it. Returning home I found they were for long distance and of no use. Unlikely to be returning to Specsavers.

My review is regarding Home Visits for Housebound people My wife waited for her visit was given the wrong information to start with so when they came they were in a rush just guessed how to adjust her prescription for her glasses and got it so wrong Now she has to wait over 2 weeks for them to come out again never mind after how long she will have to wait before she gets some glasses she can actually see through and are comfortable She has have heart failure , Autism , Diabetic to name a few all her support is on line and she is left weeks now not been able to access it as she cannot see the laptop for long to do so they know all this but just say sorry When you are suffering and the errors made are theirs sorry does not help her one bit I am not sure we would bother with them again they seem to not be able to understand the hardship they leave people in and the affect it has on them Date of experience: 21 September 2023

Very disappointed as I went in to book appointment and chose a pair of glasses which I asked them to keep as only pair I liked, they said they could put them aside for me but on day of appointment the glasses were nowhere to be found, they had been put back on the stand and they no longer had them as they had been sold, why say you will keep when you don't actually do it, won't be using spec savers again after this 😢 😞

I have used specsavers many times for my glasses. Usually my experience is excellent but this time I was very disappointed. First was the day I went with my husband to get our eyes tested and to get new glasses. The best way to describe the experience was very rushed. They asked us could we both go in together which we agreed to but both of us felt the same afterwards, we were treated as one rather than two and both of us felt we got half the normal service. Then the collection of our glasses is where it unravelled for me. We arrived two weeks after our glasses were due for collection as we didn’t get a call or message to say they were ready. My husband’s glasses were there but one of my pairs was missing. The reason for the absence of these glasses didn’t make sense, something about a crack appearing in the lens that morning as they were making them in the laboratory, remember this is two weeks after they were supposed to be ready! The lovely girl assured me she would get someone to ring me when they were ready for my next collection. No call came. Considering I was spending over 700 euros, I feel it was a very poor service and doesn’t give one confidence in the product. I don’t live in Dublin so each time is a trip. Honestly, I’m not certain if I will ever use Specsavers again.

Optometrists were very good. Sales, not so. Suggested I obtain a frame elsewhere, which I did, then they said they couldn't fit lenses to it. I did that elsewhere too (varifocals). Visited again to see if they could provide simple single vision frames and lenses as I was attracted by the £69 two for one offer. Turns out it's extra for scratch resistant lenses, and extra for tinting, etc. The cost swiftly exceeded £150. No thanks.

My father is 97 and suffering from dementia and lives in a residential home. Specsavers visited to give people an eye test. They tried to convince him to spend £340 on 4 glasses. They doubled his order in case he lost one. Definitely a case of sale before customers care.

I brought my hearing aids four years ago in Poole. I need my hearing aids for everyday use and work as I work in a shop. Several times I have been down there and lady that was there before kept giving out batteries that didn't work, and also didn't believe what I was saying to her she has left now. But my hearing aids are not working properly and I am trying to get the issue sorted as soon as possible I don't understand why you should make a appointment for several weeks time as I need my hearing aids sorted out soon. I have just phoned and I have to make a appointment WHY. I can't see why they can't just fit me in for a couple of minutes. I think this is very poor service. Especially as I paid a lot of money for these hearing aids. And I have been a customer for many years. I am losing faith in the Audiologist in Poole Specsavers.
