Everything. To start the staff are rude, the shop its self is dirty and covered in dust. I had an inspection from the director in store about my eyesight, but because I kept on blinking he started swearing at me and was extremely rude. In the end I left. I’ve never been insulted in all my life. This is a terrible store and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Customer service at Norris Green branch appalling. In fact no customer service! Staff too busy chatting to one another to help my 82 year old mother who has been a customer of spec saver for many years. She was given very little help in choosing the two new pair of varifocal specs. She spent a lot of money and when collecting they just handed the glasses to her without offering to try them on her and checking that they were ok. Very poor service indeed. Do not shop at this branch of spec saver!

Terrible experience with specsavers. My mum had to get two eye test, because they gave the the wrong glasses the first time. Then when she went to pick up her glasses the second time they were also the wrong glasses and made her eyes blurry (again) . When she asked for a refunded as she couldn't go through another test (for a third time), they wouldn't even pay her my fully refund! Disgusting behaviour!

Ibz at Loughton branch went above and beyond for us. My sister is deaf and he doesn’t even do audiology but he went out the back and went through all the parts and we left with my sisters hearing aid back up and running which was absolutely fantastic. Lovely guy!

Rude and arrogant, argues with customer one person at Norwood store is giving Spec Savers a bad name. We are filing a detailed explanation as to why? Direct to upper management. They took my money but no glasses, it was very stressful experience for us to shop with Spec Savers.NEVER AGAIN 😡😡😡

The moral of the story is “Speck Savers have my glasses and my money. “ They just refused to be helpful. One person in particular from the Norwood store.

Having had a bad experience 20 years ago at specsavers, my wife convinced me to give them another try. I use varifocal lenses and the total cost came to £380.00. When ready it was clear they weren't right but told to give them couple of weeks to get use to them. After a couple of weeks I returned and the assistant who served me was very rude and would not let me speak. She told me She was insisting I need an upgrade which i finally agreed to which cost met another £40.00. The reason she gave was the lenses specsavers use are different to the ones you would get at an independent Opticians, stating the reason why spesavers are cheaper. No further checks were made when I returned my glasses and when I returned to collect them there was not even the slightest difference than before, i believe they where not upgraded, just handed back to me in the same state. Having had a another eye test with a different company I was told that the branch of specsavers where I bought the glasses from have a manager who pushes the staff to charge customer as much as they can to improve their monthly bonusses. I returned the glasses and demanded a full refund, which i got. Never will I use them again.

Visited Specsavers Macclesfield for help with new glasses. Natasha went beyond expectations to resolve my issue - her customer care was outstanding. In my experience, this store always gives great service on every level.

I recently visited the Specsavers in Barking Town Centre, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making me feel right at home. Ivetta, in particular, was fantastic. She assisted me with getting my prescription glasses and provided excellent advice, ensuring I chose the perfect pair for my needs. Her knowledge and friendly demeanor made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I highly recommend this Specsavers location for their outstanding service and especially commend Ivetta for her exceptional assistance.

Specsavers are ok, but not great. I have 2 pairs of varifocal glasses from them - both the same prescription, but one with the base lens specification (cost £65 including the frame) and the other with their 'best' specification (Superdigital, 1.74, coatings, etc) at over £350. There is absolutely no difference in vision between the 2 types of lenses. I had no problems adapting quickly to the Specsavers varifocal lenses, but the quality is ok, not the best, but ok. Next time, I will go to an independent optician for Zeiss lenses - they don't cost that much more but seem to be universally acknowledged by the profession as the best.

Satisfied so far with the product though I'd like to make a few suggestions for further improvements. Perhaps there could be an eyewear in future with multi coloured dynamics controlled through a mobile app.

I had an appointment 8/6/24. Parking was quite bad had to park a bit further out. Got to my appointment 5 mins late. I then waited a further 5 minutes to be noticed by the staff, only then to be told o was ten minutes late late and they had already started the next appointment. I feat they were 🤥 lying. Hence on my next appointment I will be just as predantic with them.

I booked an eye test specifically for distance/sunglasses. The optician decided that I was told that I should have asked for a scan. I declined as I thought I would have one during my 2 year check up. She decided that I had been told about a weakness and I was on a recall in 12 months. That was the first I had heard and told her. She insisted I was told, well, she wasn't at my last check up so doesn't know what was said!! We both had a difference of opinion, so she decided I was being 'aggressive' and wouldn't carry out any checks, all's I did was stand my ground.

Had my eyes tested, bifocal was recommended, although I insisted that using these glasses I have to keep bending my neck, and my jobs require me to look ahead and down. I decided to give it a try after being reassured that they could be returned within 30 days. I tried them but was having massive headaches, returned them with 30 days, was told at the Arndale branch that they cannot change them. After pleading with them, their supervisor told them to only change one of the glasses. So I have a pair of glasses at home gathering dust, because I cannot use them...there goes my hard earned cash. After so many years with Specsavers.

OMG was I totally shocked by Specsavers total lack of care and understanding when it came to buying glasses. I’m a single dad with a broken back so sadly haven’t worked since 2018. I went to Specsavers’s in Stafford to get another eye test due to the amount of letters they kept sending me. Of course I needed new glasses so I chose some frames and told her I need varifocals. It was going to cost me almost 200 pounds so I asked to pay half now and half when my glasses arrive back from China where they are sent to be made. The woman quite bluntly said if I can’t pay then she can’t put them through. I explained I didn’t have that much cash and she said it’s their store policy not to allow have payment before. They require all the money or I can just go away. I wouldn’t recommend Specsavers in Stafford if you are struggling to make ends meet.

There glasses are not good quality they don’t bend the glasses to your head so they always fall off and break every single pair I’ve had has did this I’ve always ended up with one arm of the glasses off an one arm on

Visited four (4) Specsavers in the Midlands to have them look at my Reading Glasses which got damaged. The damage was to the spring hinge (common problem) which any optician - educated and experienced - would have looked at, instantly noticed the issue, provided the remedy, cost and time to repair. Let's look at each in turn, actually, lets not as Specsavers fell over on the second hurdle. All of the sites visited said that I needed a new frame and the fault was due to the way I used the glasses (blaming the Customer) and the way the glasses are made (ironically why do they sell them?). It was embarrassing listening to one Optician tell me that he knew more about the engineering of the hinge and his condescending attitude that he knew more than me was just unbelievably distressing. That said, the £200 Prada reading glasses can be repaired, the spring hinge can be replaced/repaired, and I don't have to purchase a new frame. The repair will cost me £25. Specsavers claim they are an optician but the word itself is broad, perhaps it is time they honestly and ethically look at using 'Eyetesting Services, Selling Glasses/Lens'.

Excellent attentive service. Tests carried out today were done with great efficiency and the whole experience of various tests my husband had to go through today were done with kindness and patience. We can’t thank the staff and optometrist in the Stanley branch enough. Would certainly recommend them to everyone.
