I purchase a pair of golf shoes that turned out to be faulty - a seam opened up after 3 or 4 rounds of golf in the first 3 weeks. Customer services felt it was wear and tear and did not feel that replacement or refund was appropriate! Customer service is very poor with little regard for consumer rights it seems. I will not be buying from Sports Direct again and recommend others reflect on my poor experience.

My sons Adidas football boots were not fit for purpose after starting to fall apart (only 2 months old) Customer services are not interested in replacement or refund Avoid at all costs

I spent £230 with sportdirect and used a £100 gift card. When I returned ONE item for £56, they refunded this as a gift card despite me keeping items worth £174 which is absolutely ridiculous. I do not know any other retailer that would do this and it’s purely a way to force customers to spend even more money with them. Their customer service team have been useless. They simply keep repeating its company policy to do this. I will not be buying from Sports Direct again and I advise all customers to never buy a gift card from sport direct as it’s incredibly inconvenient and a poor customer experience.

Terrible quality. Purchased a pair of boots 4 weeks ago, sole already coming off one boot, selling products that are not fit for purpose isn’t great.

0* Stars - Customer services are absolutely appalling. Bought trainers online and never received the package although was at home at the time of the delivery. Raised a case with Sports direct and courier company took responsibility for leaving package outside unattended. Filled in all forms required and still after 5 weeks I have not received a refund. No one is responding via email and their automated messenger cannot help you as the case is now older than 30 days and there is no on to call. Get it together Sports Direct, this is a joke!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND DO NOT SHOP FROM THEM. They deserve -5 stars. Arrogant, ineffective and completely out of their depth. Cannot handle a basic order, miscommunicate and now still no refund after 4 weeks. Contacting my credit card provider. Customer Service a joke!

Bought an umbrella. Got home to find it's broken. Too much hassle to go back to the shop as it's out of my way. What an absolute scam. Do not buy an umbrella from this dump. I will never set foot in a store again.

The whole experience is frankly miserable. In the Brent cross store at 3.30pm it's busy and 20 people queuing for two cashiers. Staff generally disinterested you can see in their eyes that wish for a better job/career. All that wins is price. Quality is a different question

BE AWARE OF SPORTS DIRECT MALPRACTICE. I've been trying to return an order since the day it has arrived because Sports Direct sent me the wrong product. They delayed to answer me, never provided any help and now they are refusing to take it back. I'm so stressed, I DON'T recommend Sports Direct to no one, they were very disrespectful, worse post selling service and I feel that they are joking and wasting my time. Take care before ordering anything from this company.

Appalling. Automatically chose an old address, despite providing new one. Order placed on a Friday late night, claiming order already packed and shipped in “less than 6 hrs- told them i won’t receive as not at that address. Unwilling to listen, going on with the same disgusting line( agent called ‘Mohd’). No number, impossible to contact.Have lost around £80 , will never be shopping from these thieves again. Sadly cannot give 0 starts.

In the physical stores, they don't refund if something doesn't fit and is returned promptly in perfect condition. I've looked into the law on this and they are absolutely within their rights (there's more rights if you purchase on-line). This rather begs the question why bother going into the physical store if there is less convenience. Sports Direct have a fairly bad reputation for the way they treat their staff and it looks like this extends to their customers too. I WILL BE darkening their door again in order to spend the £53 voucher I have been forced to have, but NEVER AGAIN AFTER THAT. I am also hoping that this, with the other review will cost SD at least £53 in lost sales........ Avoid at all costs!!!

This store have stolen my money. I returned an item that was too small and at first they said that the item had not been received, despite Royal Mail confirming that it had been delivered. Then, after eventually agreeing to refund me the money, they never actually did - but updated their system to show that the refund had been issued (3 weeks before they had argued online with me about not receiving the item apparently - why would they do that if they had already refunded me??) and are now telling me the issue is with my bank. Meanwhile, I have paid for an item that I no longer have, whilst they can sell an item again that has already been paid for once.
