Great beans and a great magazine! I did find a typo in there, though. And the edges of the magazine were a bit damaged upon delivery. Otherwise, excellent!

I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this. It accompanies me with every afternoon cup. The wide themes and variety of articles has educated and opened my mind. And the coffee sample was fantastic! Can't wait for the next....

Brilliant articles, great variety and incredible format - I own a small coffee shop in Scotland and my customers cannot get enough (after the staff have loosened their grip of it)!

Standart's "Arabesques, alkalinity, and coffee" issue offers genuinely thoughtful and engaging perspectives on several topics from water science to roasting philosophy and ceramics. The really captivating stuff, however, spotlights several problems faced by workers across the coffee industry. What are the socio-economic stakes of "Minimum Wage Connoissership"? How can lotteries help us to imagine more democratic forms of organization across the industry, and beyond? How might we rethink the export of Scandinavian cafe aesthetics into nations who fail to guarantee healthcare and free time? These questions and others mark the brilliance of this issue's contributors, and help cast the aura of this publication. Definitely worth the read.

Really a wonderful magazine. I genuinely enjoyed this issue of standard magazine and had a wonderful time reading it. The photography was amazing and the stories were well thought out and well edited. My one gripe, however, and the reason I'm unable to give five stars is the coffee. One of the most interesting selling points of this magazine was the sample of quality specialty coffee that it would come with. Sadly this coffee was not to par. By the time I received it the coffee smelled and tasted like it was 4 to 6 weeks pass roast and had lost a lot of its unique flavor. Overall the magazine is wonderful and the reason I got my standard subscription, but I would have loved to see more purpose put into the coffee that shipped with the magazine.

I've bought a gift version of subscription. I didn't want to send email and have chosen printed gift card for Christmas. There were no instructions on the gift card how to start Standart subscription, nor any information what to do next. QR code directed to the main page so I thought it will be delivered to the address I gave them. After one month of waiting for subscription I wrote to customer service and received information that they are happy to help. It was 6 days ago and no further informations what to do next. So for this moment I don't recommend buying it as a gift. Maybe normal subscription is better idea.

Apart from a short oeconomic overview of a cofffee producing region in every issue, the coffee related content is pretty thin. But my main gripe is the coffe beans that come with every shipment: 30g is barely enough to adjust your mill. So you send out hundreds of portions of coffe for nothing - thats a big and unnecessary waste.

STANDART takes my coffee game to a whole new level. Embracing coffee as an interest, a hobby but also as something to continually learn about is something that I can fully embrace with STANDART. These publications are beautifully presented and printed, making them a gorgeous collectible. I'm very excited to see what this subscription brings to my door.
